- Imagine a world where Shinjuro Rengoku, the strongest Hashira, never left the Demon Slayer Corps. Shinjuro's incredible power could have changed everything for the Demon Slayers. If he had stayed, the new generation of Demon Slayers trained under Kyojuro Rengoku would be even stronger. Mitsuri Kanroji might have trained under Shinjuro, making her even more powerful. Kyojuro Rengoku, trained by his father, would have been even stronger. Shinjuro might have fought Akaza, possibly sacrificing himself, which would have made Kyojuro a Hashira. Peoples problem with demon slayer is that they think the humans are supposed to be insanely strong but they’re only duty is to protect as many people as possible and being strong enough to hold a demon until sunrise of course is their job to defeat the demons but their main job is to protect people not being insanely strong to defeat, a demon

They shouldve kept rengoku in the series, killing off one of the best hashiras early on sucks. He was the best talker and was as flashy as tengen. If he died, he shouldve been able to take out one of the upper demon with him.
Taking out an upper moon with him would have just made the Upper moons look weak, Kyojuros hair was also too annoying to draw so they killed him off instead of giving him a haircut

I don't know. If Shinjuro was considered the strongest Hashira at the time, then that can put him above Gyomei. Someone like that would for sure survive that encounter with Akaza. Akaza likely wouldn't be able to kill him in time and would be forced to retreat by the sun
He WAS the strongest hashira in a century DURING his time as hashira, Gyomei became a hashira after him, so it's correct even though Gyomei is SIGNIFICANTLY stronger

Kyojuro, being not as strong as his father managed to push Alaza to a corner. If Akaza had fought Senjuro, Akaza would have died.

If akaza fought senjuro the result still would've been the same. Only in that scenario senjuro would've been able to hold akaza until sunrise but still would've died in the end

Akaza was just playing and toying with Rengoku but he was just playing too much when the Sun was gonna come up if he went serious at the start he would easily kill rengoku. Senjuro is not stronger than Marked Red Blade Giyuu and Tanjiro

@humanbeing9926 it don't matter if theres two of them, if akaza is going for the kill the fight will be over in minutes, also you highly overestimate shinjuro, yes, at HIS time he was the strongest hashira in a a century, but the new gen Hashira are all significantly stronger, especially when marked, if a marked giyu and tanjiro (who at the time was hashira level) were struggling, a unmarked Shinjuro and Kyojuro get bodied within minutes, it doesn't matter if theirs 2 of them, there's nothing they can do to actually harm him, and with his BDA, they ain't gonna be able to land a hit unless he let's them, and if there's 2 of them he's more likely to take them seriously. Overall, sun won't have time to come up if Akaza decides to go seriously since they will get bodied within minutes.

It was the only way the plot could continue. If kyojuro had proper training, he’d have easily been the strongest hashira probably even greater than his father.
