We were seriously considering immigration to uk this year by mid 23, my husband is a business man in Dubai, so he was planning to open operations in London. But we decided against it but mainly looking at the poor conditions of NHS. That’s our biggest concern since we have permanent health conditions. On my holiday to uk last year I paid over 1k pounds to see a pvt doctor because nhs er had a long wait and my condition was serious. We booked a pvt appointment, paid up and got attention. It was eye opening but made us decide not to move. I feel so sorry for NHS. Dubai for us is great so far… maybe our kids will go to study in uk.
U made the right decision.dot come here.this place sucks .its a lousy place and ur right NHS wl b the doom of many . Last week 2000 deaths reported from the strike. Even otherwise when ur at the hospital on non-strike days it's chaos here .London is not paradise .cm on hols .that's about it
I have been living in London since last 5 years now and I see my friends in India doing really well in their careers and saving more money (in INR considering purchase power parity) now. So would be good to stay in India for the next 5 years at least.
Salaries in UK are not very attractive. Moreover, India's economy is growing much faster (fastest growing major economy in the world) while UK is in recession. So if one has a good education and a good career in India, he/she grows much faster. At upper levels there is parity in salary. After all a person's salary depends on merit and capability, not location. Why should a person in London be paid more than a person in Bangalore, if they are doing the same work?
Thank you for this video and for sharing your perspective of living or moving to London/UK. It is always nice to get first-hand opinion of someone residing in the place for years as they will be able to see the trend and give a better advice. I lived in the UAE for 20 years. However, the past 4 years I am in Chennai and settled in well. I think people can experience a very good lifestyle in India itself at a much lesser cost, there is no need to go to any other country. Many years back, the situation was different. In my opinion, it did make sense to migrate to another country a few years back, not now.
Very informative vlog... But as you rightly said Santosh people who are highly qualified can come to the UK... But that's the same situation everywhere , if your monthly income is good u can stay anywhere... Whether it's India or any other foreign country... Cost of living has increased through out the world... People travel abroad thinking about a good future so expenses play a very vital role.... That's why we tell our children to study and become professionals as there's so much competition in any field.... Good luck to the younger generation and God bless all of us.... 🙏
Thank-you for appreciating our country INDIA🇮🇳🇮🇳Very nicely n clearly explained!! informative vlog👍. Santosh is always a treat to watch n the way he remains calm n explains👏👏👏

This video was informative but at the same time as you mentioned it depends on what kind of life style you have . I can’t agree with minimum of 4000 required to live comfortably in London or near to London as you said . As I know lots of people who are making 45000 per annum living with two kids comfortably . This kind of videos might scare people who are moving to UK so your word of caution is appreciated about the life style aspect. Shopping at Lidl and Aldi might save more than shopping at M &S or even sainsbury . India also is changing a recent visit there it was shocking to see the cost of living going considerably high .
Very well explained video and analysis 👏 The best thing about metro cities in India is that you can visit even a super specialist doctor at one weeks notice here it can take months to get appointment. Cost of living has gone up as explained
I was supposed to move to the UK a few years ago, but decided last minute to move to the USA. Although I love the UK, moving to the USA was the best decision that I have ever made. ❤
I’m a nurse working in Oxford. The cost of living in Oxford is almost the same as London. In terms of nursing, I feel if nurses in India are working in government hospitals, it’s better to stay there . But the private hospitals don’t pay nurses much. Hence working in UK would be better.
I'd say £4k per month(after tax) is a minimum for a couple in London (without kids) if you paying mortgage on a house plus bills etc plus want to save and/or invest money plus want to enjoy life by going out&takeouts and wanna go on holidays yearly
I agree with you sir .Coming here is not bringing much difference. In Bangalore IT engineers are getting paid really well after covid if we could have moved here 10 years before it could made a big difference. The only difference which i felt after coming here is “Clean Road and less air pollution “
Main big difference you forgot that is Work life balance in uk is way better than india. Not everything counts with money, time is also precious, and Happy and healthy mind and soul.
All over in Europe situation is same beacause of War..i stay in poland.. prices are very high in such basic items (rent, grocery prices, school fees)..aur basic baat hai ..indians ka india ke bahar jo maximum kharcha hota hai vo indian store me..daal ,chawal ,ata, wo india ke bahar kahi bhi jao 3 times more price pe aapko kharidna hota hai..we cannot survive without indian grocery..i agree ke ye sab kharcha hone baad bhi you can save some money..but bahot sara choti choti bato me compramise karna padta hai..if you are india you can save little less but ye choti batome compramise nahi karna padega..
Very informative video! You guys did a good job! I am from North Carolina, USA. COL has never been higher. California and New York are the states where COL were always high. But now it's high everywhere in the US. Housing has become unaffordable. Prices of groceries have doubled in last two years.
Very informative video. Totally agree what Santosh ji and Anju said.I live in the UK from last 17 years.I have same experience. Today you r looking gorgeous Anju.God bless you.
I live in London and my utility bill including charging my car comes to only 120 pounds per month. Milk in UK is cheaper than in India. Even if you go for Duchy organic milk, comes to less than a pound per litre. I know several families living at less than 3000 pounds per month in London.
Really informative video...actually the main thing which I liked is the approx salary which is good at current scenario.. as we are trying for UK IT jobs, got few offers but actually we didn't know whether that salary range is good or not...now I got a rough idea...thanks a lot
Hi Anju , Amazing discussion and totally agree to all points mentioned by Santosh . Btw I have to tell that you looked beautiful today …..very fresh and charming ……keep posting videos ….we love your content 🎉🎉🎉
Thank u for shared your experience it's really helpful. We just moved to UK along with our 2 kids. We will definitely keep this in our mind. Thank u once again. Please make another video for monthly expenses in UK.
India is growing but normal middle class person is not growing. Very high competition and very few jobs in comparison to population. High volume of unemployment. And inflation is high in india also. Both private and government sector, to find an average job is difficult. But in UK jobs are there if one have right skill set. Children’s education is totally free but in India education mainly school and coaching fees are the big expense in every household.
Even in USA cost of living has become so high. Rent in NYC since covid has gone up by 1500$ just in 1 year... eggs in inflation went from $3 a dozen to $9 dozen and butter went from 3.99 to $6.99 :(
Thanks for sharing your honest opinion. I moved to UK twenty years back and my observation is very much same as you have shared. Thanks for sharing your experience of life in UK and concerns about future. I agree with all the points you mentioned. I would like to add few more. 1. Tax structure is crazy here. To fool everyone its listed as 45% Income Tax, but real tax is marginal tax which is more then 60% of your income (on any decent salary), for high earners it can be as high as 85%. For example NI (National Insurance deduction) is nothing but a tax on income. Most Indians confuse NI with PF (provided Fund), but in reality they are totally different. 2. UK is rapidly degrading country. All aspects of human and social indicators are on downwards trajectory. 3. There is no future for UK. Data from last few decades clearly shows that UK is going down hill at very steady pace. Current and potential future government policies are strictly discouraging any growth what so ever. 4. There had been no wage growth in last twenty years. As a result of this stagnation, the living standards of ordinary citizens had taken a hard beating. 5. When you move to a country you have to take long term vision for that country.
Santosh you are absolutely right the cost of living has gone up even in Canada. Its okay for students cause they can adjust. But, with a family it is risky at present to move to another country especially during a recession .The video was very informative. Stay blessed.
Anju g I am not living in London. My house is in outskirts. The only difference comes is at rent baki yaha agar kuch bhi karna hai everything is highly priced in comparison to London. Too crowded and extremely expensive in U.K. Schools Hospitals are swamped with people. The waiting list is long for any medical treatment.
The grass is always greener on the other side but remember you have to mow your lawn...if feasible (depends on various personal factors) go for it !!

I am coming to London for a week. What would be the best things to buy from UK.
I will be buying some hand lotions and shower gel as I love those ( Ted Baker brand ) . Do you suggest any particular brand or any other product that I can buy.
