I definitely agree that birthdays get less important the older you get, once you've hit all the milestones it becomes a yearly reminder we're getting older, however it's still a good excuse to get your loved ones together for a meal! It's a shame that cake was stanky, but you and your family all laughing about it together is probably a much more special memory than if the cake had just been good!
