    I had this pain for years, thinking it was from previous injuries and tying my shoes too tight. I found out after wearing looser socks that it wasn't my footwear at all. Almost all "normal" socks seem far too tight around the mid-foot. I now wear looser socks, or carefully cut some of the elastics out of tight ones, and i havent had any trouble with this since. Hope this helps someone out

    I got extensor tendinitis from a corticosteroid called methylprednisolone 125mg in IV form. Been six weeks and still have it. Doing physical therapy on my foot now.

      Why did you get the shot initially? What condition prompted the injection?

      @@DocOnTheRun for an Allergic reaction. Went to ER bc Had rashes on both my arms, upper thighs, neck and ear on side and one side of the face. Plus one side of face was a little swollen. So Drs decided to give this corticosteroid in order to get rid of inflammation but caused me foot problems. I was going in for physical therapy now and they were using a massage gun on me there. Also, the guy was doing a massage where he was pressing down hard with his thumb on top of my foot where the trigger points are and it hurt me. He did this a week ago and it’s still sore there. It kind of feels like a black and blue almost just no marks on the foot. Can that effect the nerves in my legs and give tingling, pins and needles sensation as well? Or is that more from the massage gun. Because now I have been feeling in both my legs/feet tingling sensation like pins n needles and im trying to figure out if it’s from the massage by therapist or massage gun.

    It may not be that big of a deal, but it feels like a bone is broken in my foot. The synovial fluid you speak of, builds up into a lump and i can literally squish it back down into my foot.
    Not fun. Only relief im getting is from an old walking boot.

      Thank you for watching! I am sorry to hear you are having such a frustrating situation. It is always important to speak up and make sure your doctor hears your concerns, even if you think the doctor may dismiss it as "no big deal."

    I can't seem to heal properly, it swells as soon as I walk on it for more than 5 minutes, I then again have to rest it and ice it for 2-4 days, it's been like this for 4 months. Not asking for advice, but what do you thing is happening in such a case?

      Thank you for watching and I hope you found the video helpful! That certainly sounds very frustrating. I'm very sorry but I cannot provide advice or individualized assessments over social media. I had a crushing injury over 2 years ago on the job slightly past the steel toe and onto the knuckles of my left foot. I experience a lot of discomfort especially if I stand in place for say more than 30 mins and usually can't last more than an hour. Recent xrays have come out normal but it's noticeable even by the touch that it feels like my middle 3 toe knuckles are almost fused together. I'm still seeing someone for it now and we've been kinda brainstorming new therapy ideas as no one can be definitive on it being a type of nerve pain.

    i think i have this. how is it different from Extensor Tendonitis, and how long does it take to resolve assuming daily massage and taking an anti-inflamatory, and not putting too much daily stress on the foot?

    • @DocOnTheRun
      @DocOnTheRun  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tendinitis is inflammation within the tendon.

    I had the top of my foot ran over directly in the middle. Had a bit of bruising and pain after it happened but that was it. It's now been 2 years since it has happened and now my big toe is very tender and hurts a lot, especially at night. It seems like it's stuck flexing upwards a little bit and i can't bend it at all. I've been doing a lot of research and I'm thinking it is checkrein deformity possibly. It seems to me that it's the big tendon on top of my foot that hurts, the one that runs into the big toe, because it's stuck bending my big toe upwards. I can't put any weight on it either it hurts like a mofo. The pain is right at the top, where the toenail is but sometimes my calf feels achey and some days my ankle will hurt a little as well, but mainly my big toe. Any ideas what it could be?
