Fun Fact: Birdo was almost appear as a playable character in Super Mario Party, but at the end she or he appearad as an non-playable character due to fear of trouble of gender and controversy. In some countries such as Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Egypt, Malaysia and Indonesia which many of those markets are muslim, are strictly prohibited somethings relationed with the LGBT.
That is a shame. Birdo is the first transgender video character made, so I hold her dear to my heart. If Nintendo was scared of her gender they should have made her cis in those translations.
