Ronnie Fields is a Chicago legend and definitely would have been a high NBA draft pick. Him and Garnett playing at Farragut Academy is probably one of the top HS duos ever. I mean even in this video the other team is literally helpless to stop that onslaught on the rims 😂😂
Ronnie was my childhood hero, but don't agree... he's only 6'3 and had really poor handles and a sub-par jump shot for NBA standards... not saying he couldn't improve, but he had a long way to go.
It was an absolute show...we loved to hate but had to watch...theor road games turned into home games when back when wlaway teams usually had to fight after the games
In his senior year of HS he was driving a car illegally and got into a brutal car accident, had to fuse his spine together I think.. and he never quite bounced back, he wouldn't have made it to the NBA anyway though most likely, he's only 6'3 and had really poor handles and a sub-par jump shot for NBA standards... not saying he couldn't improve, but he had a long way to go.
Garnett is 7'18" he dunks on some smaller players and acts like he did something. You're suppose to dunk it at that height. Ronnie Fields was a real beast. So was Shae Cotton. I actually got to see Cotton play in person in Salt Lake City when he was 12. He was a phenom.

That was at Parkland College Chris Collins played in some of the games. I was there and in the Crowd was Doug Collings.
