According to WiKi, the Japanese manga "Sazae-san" originally started with a four-frame manga serialized in newspapers. It's a story about the common everyday life of the Sazae-san family. Sanae-sam is insanely energetic and a little clumsy, and all the cast members seem to be set no aging. This manga was written by Machiko Hasegawa.
WiKiによると日本の漫画「サザエさん」はもともと、新聞連載の4コマ漫画から、はじまったそうです。サザエさんファミリーのよくありそうな日常を描いたストーリーです。サザエさんはめちゃくちゃ元気でちょとおっちょこちょいで、キャストは皆、歳は取らない設定のようです。この漫画は長谷川町子さん作です。
I grew up watching this manga on TV. This TV show lasted very long. Maybe it was broadcast around 7pm on Sunday night, and watching this manga made me feel a little depressed as feeling that school starts again tomorrow. I think people around me called this phenomenon "Sazae-san syndrome (Blue Monday)". (but it didn’t mean I disliked school). I think that even as an adult, this word can be understood even among office workers around my generation or little above.
私はこの漫画をTVで見て育ちました。このTV番組はとても長く続きました。多分、日曜日の夜7時くらいに放送され、この漫画をみると明日からまた学校が始まる少し、憂鬱な気分になりました。(ですが、学校が嫌いだったわけではありません)私の周りではこの現象を「サザエさん症候群」と言っていたと思います。大人になってもこの言葉は私と同世代や少し上の世代の会社員の中でも通じてると思います。
By the way, the names of the Sazae-san family all seem to be named after the something related to sea.
ちなみに、サザエさんファミリーの名前はみんな何か海にちなんだ名前のようです。
