I'm a sucker for a good paint job video . Myle's , You have a good demeaner and clear voice for making videos worth watching . Keep Going !!!! Ray in Pa U.S.A.
The Fury is coming along nicely! Myles always does some excellent work. There's a lot of talented guys in your corner of the world. Cheers and the best from Iowa
Scott, not sure if Myles sees these comments but let him know that Fury is going to be a killer car. Just an awesome job so far. Keep up the good work. Cheers from Wisconsin
Myles making progress there , Uncovering hidden rot , he is doing nice repairs , lots of trim on a Sport Fury , THis will be a sweet ride when done Thank you for the video ,
@@mylesmoparfreak6562 Hello Myles , you should not have any fear there, Headquarters not far away to get a few tips , Your getting decent video results there too , are you staying with the original engine in the 66 ?
@@nerradnosnhoj5122 Hope your right, metal trim repairs don't look easy. Yes, def staying with original engine. It is already built and running in the car: 383 cu 4 barrel w/ dual snorkel air cleaner. its pretty sweet
@@mylesmoparfreak6562 It sounds pretty good for sure .... Flomasters ??? ...lol, Years ago my Dad owned a 69 Polara wagon, 383 with a Holley and that sweet twin snorkel air cleaner , and factory duals , I remember the sound of passing gear ..... Paint turned out pretty nice there .... looking forward to updates on your progress
thank you Myles i admire your patients! a good friend of mine in high school, class of 76, had a white/red interior 318 with posi. i always liked the look of those cars! enjoy it!
Great update from Myles. Very cool. As Paul Simon said the nearer your destination the more you slip slide away but I see Myles powering on! Also a great cash of parts. All the little things that make up a car most people never see or notice, exposed along with the short coming of the manufacturers that lead to the rusting out. But I think the plan was the cars would fall apart so you would have to buy a replacement. 'No runs except the ones from the factory' so true for Chrysler products. I saw a brand new Challenger, $55k with a run in the top rail above the drivers door. Right in your face every time you get into the car. Always pretty machines though.
Thanks to Myles for videoing some of the worst of the grunt work to show how these things are done and how much work and problem-solving effort goes into them. That car is going to be one of the best yet when this restoration is complete. Lucky Myles to obtain a dash pad in such condition and the correct color!
Great job Myles! You'll have a solid car when your done. I love it when I see metal repairs done as they should be without cutting corners. Both you and Scott do excellent work! 👍👍
How’s your arm Myles?? My 12 year old and I are getting ready to build him a 76 amc hornet. Mild 304, 3 speed with od from a studebaker avanti, and he’s gonna learn how to patch floors, do some body work and a garage paint job. He’s paying for what he can from mowing lawns and snow blowing over the winter. Side note we’ve got keystone klasics and he wants traction bars and side pipes too. Kids got an old soul.
Thanks for sharing the effort You put in to this video Myles. After watching Scott refurbish the bright work on His '60 Plymouth it would be interesting to have Him teach You to refurbish the bright work for the '66. Best Wishes to everyone at Cold War Motors.
Thanks Richard! You know, I'm kinda afraid about the bright work, but i know Scott will be willing to teach, and then stand back and laugh at all the hours going by....
*CHOPMASTER* Myles brings up a VERY important point about taking on restoring one of these old cars - namely, staying motivated over time, especially when you're in that doldrum period before the project "turns the corner". For me, it's all about the self-encouragement that comes with little bits of progress... By cutting the overall project up into bite-sized pieces, then knocking those out one at a time, you get the satisfaction of finishing each one, which keeps you motivated to start the next one. After a while, you step back and think "hey, we're getting somewhere here!" Atta boy Myles! - Ed on the Ridge

That fury will be pretty when done
That Fury is going to look so sweet when it's done...
Two thumbs up for Myles' commentary on the Sport Fury.
He's like the BOB ROSS of repair😄
Lol!! "Gonna put some happy little screw heads instead of factory punched tabs for a home for the headliner"
I was just thinking the same, he's so calm and collected. I do a a lot of projects and half the time I'm swearing. LOL
Thx for the great update on the Fury. Amazing work.
