I don't know about you but to me this is a very good performance for a 2wd. I wasnt expecting it to even handle 15 cm of snow, not to mention that he managed to get of of that last situation in 25 cm snow. That's impressive, it's not an offroad vehicle but it's always nice to know it can get himself out of some ocasional terrain trouble
Brilliant video, thanks a lot. I haven't bothered with the Grip Control option on my 3008. I prefer to have a full size spare alloy wheel/tyre and you can only have a space saver with the Grip Control. I currently use winter tyres on my BMW 520D and will do the same with my 3008. If you have never used winter tyres, my experience is that they are amazing. They turn a rear wheel drive from a paper weight into something that will go through snow really well.
Looking at the wheels I suspect the car in the video is without grip control . The wheels of the grip control version have different design and their tiers are thicker and wider.
It's been a while since you publish this video, but a few weeks ago I take the same model of Peugeot 3008 on a road of 4x4 cars, scared every time, but in the end everything works perfectly. If I seen before this video, would have driven more confident to my beloved car. Very good test!
This does NOT have the grip control system fitted. The text states that. This is showing how well a stock 2wd car handles snow and I must say for a stock drive train this is impressive.
@@alles_klar yes I know. It is an electronic system to attempt to simulate 4WD in the snow I had it on my first 3008. My point was this was a stock 2WD system used for the video and not the grip control version.
The car in the demo isn't using Grip Control. It is showing how effective the car is in these conditions by driving it properly and enabling/disabling traction control when appropriate.
i ve tested the 1.6 bluehdi grip control and it goes very well on snow covered roads mud and sand..... grip control works really good in cooperation with mud and snow tyres.... .
Nice all that but at some point people need to realize that cars of this category are not meant to be driven seriously off road. Peugeot has made it clear because they even refused to give it a 4x4 edition - and why should they? - when 99% of their clients will drive their 3008 99% of the time on asphalt, 69,5% in urban settings and 29,5% in country roads and highways. They merely added the traction control programmes as an added bonus for that single day in a year you may need to drive on snow. All in all this is a superb car, but if you are going hunting get a Lada Niva.
But Peugeot should make something off-road capable and small like the suzuki Jimmy, it is a very capable company. My problem is I love Peugeot but they don't have anything that can go off-road and economical like the Japanese.
it has no all wheel drive or 4x4, it is a mediocre system to trick people. If you live in snow and want to be safe by other crossover that looks good, Like the new Volkswagen Tiguan.
Jaila Ranirriz Well, you can either choose 4WD or a flat floor for your feet in the back seat. Also, the cost would be much higher and Peugeot would also need to develop their own 4WD system, not to mention how much heavier this car would be if it was 4WD! You should also bear in mind that 4WD adds a lot of extra complexity to to the system, more fuel consumption (which also means more trips to the petrol station) and extra parts to maintain for little performance gain.
You did not watch the video properly or do your research. The Peugeot 3008 is 2WD only, except for the new PHEV variant. It has 4WD, 300HP and 50km range on electricity! Highly recommended.
considering how fast he is going here is a clear indicator of shitty system for now. he is moving on momentum, any car with snow tires driving this fast would not get stuck, the real test would be stop and go or driving with less speed, on the road with people and snow it is impossible to drive this fast. What happens when your 2 front tires have no Traction? that is the point of an AWD system.
bin the vehicle is driving at a good speed on a snow-covered ground, I understand better by reading to you that you must be a fangio who rolls at 150 km / h on the snow or the ice, I better understand the number of accidents of the road seen your way of thinking !!
You are testing a FWD car on snow without the grip control gear and all weather or mud and snow tyres? It's like testing a 4WD without activating 4WD :-)
iulian iulian well a q5 costs like 70k with same equipment. And the 3008 is not meant to drive that much offroad. Forester and Duster are 'real' offroaders. So you can't compare them to the 3008
You are right! In most of the situation in the video - no difference 2WD or 4WD - you can only use the energy of movement to drive on. Thanks for comment!
I don't know about you but to me this is a very good performance for a 2wd. Finally a video showing its limits. Great video!

The sound, power and design is so nice. I like this car😎👍
This does NOT have the grip control system fitted. The text states that. This is showing how well a stock 2wd car handles snow and I must say for a stock drive train this is impressive.
Grip Control is still 2WD by the way
@@alles_klar yes I know. It is an electronic system to attempt to simulate 4WD in the snow I had it on my first 3008. My point was this was a stock 2WD system used for the video and not the grip control version.

Many people forget that is a GripControl, not a 4WD

GripControl is actually worse, because all season tires you get with gripcontrol, get very stiff and harsh under -10c.
@@Grauditt Peugeot has in the past fitted LSD on most manual gearbox versions. Likely in this one too.
It is not meant for going off road as it is front wheel drive only.

How soon it is coming! Right hand drive /horn on steering /wheel stud adjusted /all wheel drive!
But awd is always better than grip control
its what tyres you use, even for a 4x4
Pretty good for a 2 wheel drive.
I have wondered why will PSA not make 4WD in their SUVs, when Renault-Nissan uses 4WD in their cars.
Cost and weight.
Peugeot make the most dynamic car of his segment, but with the 4wd you got more weight.
In 2019 the 3008 came with 300 HP 4x4 hybrid
I observed that it has more power from the front the the rear I want real and full 4WD because my area is rough road

Subaru Forester is best.

Took one for a test driver very impressive but the suspension is shite doesn't handle bumps or pot holes.
ridiculous !!!!
Sounds like you drove another car 🤥
😅🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Amazing video, amazing car!
I thought the gt model doesn't equipped with grip control option?
The GT we tested has no Grip Control.
Thx for video
COMPLIMENTI TROPO RECOR Amazing 3008ttropo bravo dover o
maybe there will be a dangel modification, btw dangel a is a company that turn normal peugeots into 4x4 s
Ayouni Reda there's a 4×4 hybrid version on the way next year!

0:53 Why GM is written there?
They have had cooperation before Peugeot bought Opel. For example - Opel Crossland was built on PSA platform.
Peugeot 3008 2.0 hdi💓💓💓💓💓
My dream car 😍👏
looks good car ! How is the failure rate ?
Lei Konen 100%

Y la grúa no la muestran? XD
Replacement parts mnm
impressive
: Piero
basicaly this car will stuck in anything more serious than 10cm of snow
Bullshit
4 WD : better job for off road , 3008 is for road only.
Tu no te das cuenta
Goood
What a good technologie ! its so good nice

3008 vs tiguan
40.000 for this? forester or q5 quattro waaaaaaay better choice. even duster is better.

Q5 is shit lmao
Clown
Suv without 4x4 is shit
w teren ten model to porażka!!!
Again I can get up that hill with any car if I have lots of speed 4x4 don't need that kind of abuse!!!
You are right! In most of the situation in the video - no difference 2WD or 4WD - you can only use the energy of movement to drive on. Thanks for comment!
Spoiler alert- 2wd car gets stuck in snow. Moving on.....
It doesn't. Watch the whole video...
Es una mierda de suv. NO TIENE TRACCIÓN TOTAL!!!
