Please JND,rework with the face,doesnt look or close like liv tyler....please revise..your tagline is hyperrealism but this one the face doesnt look like arwen..i m half hearted to preorder this
Almost there I can't pin point it but likeness needs to be improved we need more close up photo hopefully future reveals take more close up photo shots.
The upper part of the sculpt is way off. Just cover the upper part of the face you’ll see the lower half is fine. But then cover the lower part of the face and you’ll instantly see it’s not Ms. Tyler likeness. The proportions in the upper part of the head is all wrong. Like the distances of the hairline to the brows to the distance between the eyes. Eyeballs themselves which is the colored parts are way too large which give the shocked expression to the face. JND normally does a good job but I guess not this time. Hope they rework it.
This is the most accurate critique of the likeness. I commend JND artists’ efforts, beautiful women are the hardest to capture proportion because they demand perfection.
The community is beginning to notice you are deleting comments that say the likeness is bad, on youtube and facebook. Getting a reputation for this will not serve you well. You would be better accepting criticism and saying you will make the likeness better.
What a beautiful piece! The pose is so simple and elegant at the same time, it perfectly captures the nature of the character. I think likeness could be improved a bit (lower part of the face and upper lips) but it’s quite close after all. I’d like also to point out that I do love JND bases, they’re always so essential and classy, capable to involve a fair amount of story telling without distracting from the main attraction. They are never boring for me, just perfect the way they are. It’s true, less is more! Excellent job guys!
Hopefully this piece will be much less expensive than previous JND statues. No accessories, no armour, no weapons, no swap-out limbs or heads, simple clothing etc etc.

the weakest JND product, it looks like a big barbie not worth the price tag at all, as a fan of the Lord of the Rings, I was hoping they would start with some more representative character like Aragon or Gandalf, I hope that the failure with this product does not prevent from making other characters that would surely be a resounding success.

Unfortunately, I agree. While the statue certainly looks impressive, something about the likeness in the face is off.
I believe that one key missing element could instantly improve the likeness dramatically. JND must include (and show) her pointed elven ears. Vital !

Not the best choice. Galadriel is the most important female elf from LOTR universe.
Probably using licensed permission of Galadriel and Cate Blanchett is more expensive for JND
