The reason the dropchopper is easier in paper jam is because the one in dream team was gyroscopic controls. This one is controlled by the circle pad, as indicated in the upper left corner while the attack is in progress.
I am NOT kidding for this boss battle it was CRAZY I used one battlecard about 4 attacks and I used the dropchopper and ALL of them got wiped out and I am at level 20!

On the starting move which was for the charging chucks they dealt lots of damage, so I spent the next three attacks to heal up my bros. Then it was Luigi's turn. Before I attacked with Luigi, I used a battle card which did 15 damage on all enemies for a total of four times. After that then I used Luigi's drop chopper in which I landed an excellent which killed all of them in that single attack. I was expecting more since it was so easy. Plus it been a while since I watched this video and I did not watch any other videos for this game, so I didn't know the gimmick of the boss. This is most likely the speed run technique for defeating this boss. It was so simple, so much it wasn't even a challenge.
