    I don't care what other people say about her, but I am 56 years old and thanks to her I change the way I eat. If you change one life that is a success. Thank you Kristina, muchas gracias. :)

      the new earth is still a thing? i'm not being sarcastic, just out of the loop for years. i know some crazy things are coming. i know this world is manipulated. i'm deep into a lot of deep stuff and also realized it didn't help me to spend so much time looking at what the bad guys did, where they come from, etc.
      being happy and positive is new to me. i don't mean i'm depressed, i just have anxiety and don't live a fully alive exciting life.

    In March of this year I felt the need for drastic change. I really felt like I was just waiting to die. I am 56 and weighed 314 pounds. Because of you I started being fully raw. I didn't do it one meal a week I went in full time all the way. Like a Phoenix, from the ashes I am reborn! I have lost 48 pounds and feel fantastic. This is all because of you. So now you have a drastic change in front of you. I know you will be great at whatever you do. Much love TamaRAW

    The synchronicity I received from this video last night when it was uploaded, after I got back from standing on my feet for 18 hrs at my raw vegan shop. I have been shedding a lot of tears because recently I have felt like I am not receiving much needed support from family members. Doing everything by myself, building my business from the ground up, investing so much money in QUALITY ORGANIC PRODUCE from local farmers, thus to create expensive recipes in its raw form, doing long lists of spreadsheets for inventory, going hours and days without eating just to reinvest the money back into the business, walking 3 hour distances to my shop with grocery bags, getting on my hands and knees to do the dirty work of cleaning my shop floors, having to deal with employees who do not even respect the back breaking work that it took me to make my business flourish. I also feel as though many of my customers take for granted the high quality food that is being served to them at the low price that does not match the labor nor prices that I am paying to get this food to them, all because I wanted people to better their health by having access to healthy, high quality, and great tasting food. They do not see the dirty work, the long hours of waking up at 4am and not sitting down until it is time to go home at 9pm! They do not see the lost of support, the financial hardships, the blood, sweat, and tears. When adversity pops up and everything is telling you no, your heart keeps pushing you toward your purpose, and then you realize that no one cares for the business you have, BUT YOU! AND ITS HARD!!! IT MAKES YOU FEEL SO ALONE. There was also something that was told to me yesterday the same day this video was uploaded, that nothing is happening to me, BUT FOR ME, and those words hit my heart full force, which is what I needed to hear, so it was de ja vu once you had repeated those same words after hearing that from a good person earlier in my day. I shed a few tears during this video last night, and I have returned to post that you are not alone! This also motivated me to keep going with my raw vegan shop and stay strong through the hardships that I am now facing, this shop is all I have, and all the time I tell myself that my customers are my biggest investors because their dollar is what is allowing this shop to be open week after week despite all of the other short comings with finances, if only they knew! Thank you so much Kristina

    Kristina I was a part of your coop on and off 6 years ago, and although I no longer live in Houston, I really valued and appreciated having the option for farm to table organic fruits and veggies for myself and my family- I didn't think anything like that could exist in Houston! I also got so much out of your classes. What I see here is a huge opportunity, you are brilliant, passionate, you have so much potential and drive, you got really far in an environment where people would say it isn't possible. I say watch out world, because the coop may have been holding you back from your true potential!!! Please ignore any negativity and haters, they are such a waste of energy!! I think you are on the edge of just beginning something amazing, and what you got out of the coop will always stay with you. I wish you all the best! PS Portland loves coops!! :)

    Hey, why don't you open a cafe shop with all your recipes in your area? The comunity will see how good this is and start buying raw, organic products to reproduce those delicious meals. In time, you may even work towards a Raw fast food restaurant chain like Leon in the UK. I believe you have all the "know how" to do it, plus you can try a crowdfunding. Good luck in higher goals!

    I DID NOT SELL MY COMPANY. Never in the video did I say that, and that comment seems to be everywhere here. I would never sellout. People keep asking why, but I clearly state in it the video. Please listen to the many points I discuss before you're quick to judge. There's not just ONE REASON. It's not black and white. It's been a slow and steady declining process over the years. We lost the community over time. People are choosing to purchase from larger chains and aren't supporting local and organic. This effects the smaller businesses such as myself. It's convenience and quantity over quality and homegrown. This is why I wrote in the video, "PLEASE SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL AND ORGANIC FARMERS. This is becoming a dying race." For everyone calling me a spoiled brat and saying that I'm not taking responsibility for my failure, you couldn't be MORE wrong. I've worked my butt off for 11 years building this company...doing things many of you wouldn't probably do-late night deliveries, sacrificing much, sludge work, doing the dirty work-things behind the scenes you DON'T see. Nothing was given, it was earned. Those who judge don't know my circumstances or my journey in what's it's taken to build up to this point. Please look at your own life before you decide to judge mine. I'm not going to sit here and blame anyone, and I won't blame myself. I held on so tightly until I couldn't anymore. And I don't need to further explain myself past that point. It took SO much of me to make this video and talk about it. I didn't even have to talk about me closing it. I could have just moved on with my life and not said a word. But I didn't because this coop has meant the world to me and it's meant so much to so many others. It is worth CELEBRATING and CHERISHING. I choose to cherish it and will never take it for granted. This co-op has given me so much life and happiness and JOY. I choose to keep these memories positive. I feel my message in this video is beautiful and vulnerable and very open and real and authentic. HATERS: please stop trying to pick away at something that just isn't there. Compassion in his time is needed. TO EVERYONE who had written a supportive and kind comment...THANK YOU. I've read EVERY SINGLE COMMENT. Most have brought me to tears. You're the reason why I am still here. Thank you for your prayers and support. I hope to continue to be here for you too. 🙏🏽💓✨

    I honestly don't know all the reasons why she closed it, but I can say this from my perspective, the perspective of a poor, low wage-earning woman who lives in an urban environment. Most people, common people, like myself, don't have close, immediate access to quality organic food, or any co-ops. You don't relate to the common man. You don't know what it's like to decide between getting what's cheaper or what's quality. Many of the people I work with are poor also and can't afford top organic food.They also use public transportation as their sole way to get around, and there are limits as to where these buses can take you. There's always a disconnect between those who have a lot and those who are just scraping by.

    • @mikoda92
      @mikoda92 7 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      +lemurian chick I can tell how delusional and dismissive you are by reading your comment. For some people it is a permanent condition. I don't need you to decide whether I'm broke or not. I am not broke. I pay my bills with my hard work, work serving people like you. No one will be walking where I live, because it's dangerous and much too far. I have no one to help me carry all my groceries back with me, and it would be inconvenient to handle every day, because I work and have to take care of other business. It's not realistic at all, but keep dreaming.

      ok, what do you talk about? Is this about why lots of people cannot affort a raw diet for their family? Because some have an iPhone, they can affort a raw vegan diet? I own an IPhone at the moment that was a gift from my dear friend, because she got a new one and knew that i could really need a good phone... What does this say about my wealth? Or hers? She got them from work, from her boss, because she needs to have one where she works.
      I think, you just see something like this and make assumptions for everyone.

    It is so sad to me that the government subsidizes food that is unhealthy rather than organic fruits and vegetables when they can so easily do so. Doing this makes healthy food complete inaccessible to those living below the poverty line. This is why it is the duty of those of us with disposable income and economic power to use our dollars to support local business and create a demand for quality fruits and vegetables so one day giant corporations have no other option but to begin meeting this demand and lowering the price of quality food. I hope one day to see a world where a healthy and filling salad costs as little as a hamburger!

      What fruits and vegetables are not sprayed? At Easter I was with a group of farmers, the stories I was hearing blew my mind. Farmers spray like you wouldn't believe. Blueberries have 30 different types of sprays. Avocados get sprayed 3 times a week till harvest. When f&v fetch a good price farmers will harvest before the allowed time (f&v aren't supposed to be sold to market until the pesticide residue has subsided but if farmers can get a good price they will harvest). Even mangos get sprayed, I thought for sure they wouldn't as the fruit is so high up. It's really disheartening 🙁

      I've had four businesses, starting on my fifth one. You learn what works and what doesn't. Like the comments have pointed out, juicing is expensive compared to purchasing whole foods, because you're throwing more than half of it away, so there's a lot of waste. And yes, if you do not bring in enough money to reinvest in your business, the employees, insurance, taxes; it gets shut down. Plain and simple. Businesses have to have to make profits to feed them and their people, otherwise, they essentially die on the vine. It takes a lot of courage to run your own business and a ton of energy. I'm sure she will find something new to work on, smarter, and stronger that will hopefully work better. I wish her well.

    It amazes me how heartless some of the comments on here are. Right wrong or indifferent, she is a person, with real feelings... just like you. It isn't about money. It isn't about anything other than the fact that she is a human being facing a struggle. Just because she chooses to put herself out there and indeed, things like this may impact her financially for the better does not make her bad or wrong any more than it makes you bad or wrong for having your opinion. I just can't imagine what it feels like to feel so mean and hateful so much that it is necessary to critique a TH-cam personality. I don't know her personally. I don't know if she or her family are wealthy. What I do know is that even if she is, she has every right to feel her struggle completely. This struggle just shows that money doesn't solve anything. If it were about money she would have felt relived closing it, not distraught. I don't know what you see when watching this video, but I see a human being that is full of love and is truly hurting. I hope those of you that received some kind of joy from posting something hateful on this video are lead down a path of healing yourselves and that you can figure out what made you feel so adverse to it. A truly happy person who disagreed with this video would have watched this and kept going on about their day rather than tearing another person down. I truly wish you happiness and healing.

    Dear Kristina, you have inspired me for many years and even though you might FEEL like a failure I will NEVER see you as one, and I bet thousands of your fans feel like I do. It's not your business that makes you a success, it's your VISION, your LIFESTYLE, the EXAMPLE you set to others and your stunning COMMUNICATION SKILLS. You are UNIQUE and I've often wished I could be more like you. I watch one of your videos at least once per day to inspire me to live healthier, even though I have not been very successful. You are one of the most colorful, creative & entertaining vegan personalities on the web and the world is your oyster, the possibilities are endless only because of WHO YOU ARE. I got tears in my eyes seeing yours, as I feel you should be the LAST person on this earth to go through pain. Keep your positive attitude (as your grandfather has said so often) and please don't give up. Take your time to heal, but stay enthusiastic as you are still so young, so healthy with such a supportive family to back you and healthy, organic eating has become more popular recent years (world-wide) this is only the end of a season. Not the end of your journey. The time you had with your business was indeed a miracle for someone at such a young age, but maybe things happened for a reason as sometimes when one door closes, only then other doors can open. You will rise again PHOENIX!!!!!!!! With love, from Abu Dhabi

    This was such a poignant and emotionally compelling talk, Kristina. I genuinely was not expecting this video to ever come. One of my bucketlist dreams was to visit Houston, enjoy all of the vegan restaurants, and visit your co-op. As sad as I am to see that it's no longer in existence, I absolutely agree that there are plenty of signs that it's time to grow, move forward, and thrive elsewhere. Now I'm really going to do as much research as I possibly can and support as many smaller companies that practice ethical, sustainable, and compassionate business techniques.
    The best years of your life aren't over. Just be patient, loving, hopeful, and open-minded for what the world has to offer. I've been following your channel for years and I know that you've made such beautiful changes since you've first started. • @sydkins432

    I'm going to be honest here. The reason your business failed is not because it wasn't great, it's because as Americans we are expected to NEVER stop. You only having pick up from 4-7 certain days a week etc only works for a handful of people. I need the big grocery store, because I have to buy all my produce before work at 7 am. I work Saturday's as well. So no Saturday morning farmers markets for me. It's hard. It's not my fault, or yours. It's this American ideal that we must work until we are bone tired or we're not trying hard enough. I would love the freedom to be my own boss and make the rules, but like you've just shared that's not the easy way either. Life is hard Kristina, I'm sorry it knocked you down. 💚

    • @nadounadou9560
      @nadounadou9560 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i agree. work until you are bone fire or .... get out of the rat race. Get your homestead, own solar energy or what not, grow your fruits and veggies and make something on the side to get $ so that you can get a medical insurance in case you get bit by a snake, a black widow, a brown recluse, a scorpion or something else,

    • @amirkhan748
      @amirkhan748 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes the American ideal is being followed every where. women in eastern countries are luckier, since the man has to do the earning and woman is supposed to do thr household work and educate the kids etc. It looks like a bleak picture at first but when you look at so many families from my country, the women live happiest lives with so much peace, no worry to earn money, and having to work double. The balance is perfect when one of the spouse takes the responsibility of earning and the other takes the responsibility of household management. However, this doesn't mean women can't pursue their careers and can't get education. Getting education doesn't equate to earning. Education for the sole sake of earning is missing the true essence.

    • @amirkhan748
      @amirkhan748 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shores of Freedom
      I admit there are a lot of wrongs with the eastern society, but you can't just mark it as black and think developed countries as white. It is not as simple as that. Moreover, it is extremely flawed to think that a woman who covers herself up is somehow confined or subjugated. Being a woman myself, I can tell you I covered myself up, and had a really good educational career and still continuing it after my marriage. To me education does not mean I have to go outside and do a job. But no one has ever restricted me from doing a job. Infact I am really lazy and hate doing office jobs and my parents and in laws always tell me I should not be wasting my hard earned degree at home. To me, my degree is not wasted, I apply my knowledge in every aspect of life. And covering myself up doesn't stop me from doing anything. Honestly it doesn't!
      Secondly, do u think only eastern men look at women like a piece of meat?? Do western men have different biological functions? I see hollywood objectifies women so much that western women have become extremely concious of how they look. Its not the same in the area where I belong. Women are not as vain as the western women. Plastic Surgeries are comparatively much lower. However since newer generation is extremely exposed to the western media, they have adopted western culture.
      how can you claim that EVERY VICE comes from women being confined (which they aren't actually) and covering themselves up? Is there any study done on the effects of covering your body with clothes on the quality of life you experience? I see no logic behind this claim and it is terribly flawed. I am not sure how u claim every children being assaulted in the streets. I have never witnessed it but I know it happens but it is not exclusive to the eastern society but happens in the west as well.

    • @amirkhan748
      @amirkhan748 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shores of Freedom
      I really feel very bad about all those things that happen to women in such societies. But I noticed you seem to know it too, that it is all because of illiteracy, not because women cover themselves up. Now I agree, I do not mean that women should be confined and not be able to go out alone. That is not what I mean at all and I would strongly condemn such a society and I recognise that it is extremely evil towards women. But I also do not think that covering yourself up leads to crimes. Its not true at all. There is only a weak correlation between society of covered up women and crimes. And we know that, scientifically correlation does not equate to causation. Covering up with a piece of clothing can not stop a society to flourish. What stops them to flourish is their ancient beliefs and cultures which I strongly despise. And I am glad that you eventually were able to get out of that horrible society and live as a free woman.
      I have also endured a lot of pain in the past but not the kind you talked about. It was more of a family problem. I used to think is our society bad? But now I think, its not just our eastern society, cruelty happens in all societies to those who are weaker in some way. In other words, Rich suppress the poor, Strong dictate the weak. It seems like natural phenomenon now.
      As for rapes, I don't think they happen only in eastern society. The bad thing about the eastern society is lack of accountability as you said, that a woman is blamed for being raped. Western societies make people accountable for their crimes and thats why you don't see men raping women out in the open. Nevertheless rapes do happen, most rape stories I read or hear are from western societies. Mostly it is child abuse and even rapes. But I can not make any assumption where most rapes take place as I never did any statistical analysis. Evil exists everywhere. I was living in an eastern society but never experienced rape or anything like that whereas many western woman have been brutally raped. Rape is pretty common in U.S but that offcourse doesn't mean every woman is getting raped. It only means there are a few unfortunate ones who fall prey.
      What I find good about the eastern society, atleast my own country, that both men and women are family oriented. Men provide for their families in every way possible and usually take full responsibility of the expenses of wife and kids. Whereas western women have to kind of depend on their own to work, give birth to children, take care of children, while doing jobs at the same time. Where I come from, most women live very comfortably and they dont have to worry about having an equal participation in the earning. Atleast it is not required of them to contribute to the household expenses. Still many women like to earn and be at respectable positions working as scientists, engineers, doctors teachers etc, and there is nothing wrong with that. Infact most people from my country encourage girls to get education and earn a living. However middle East is very different. I am not aware of the prarices in middle east but I am surely not inspired by middle eastern culture at all.

I'm pretty sure she outsourced from as many local, organic, ethical businesses as possible! As well for the video, she's sharing candidly, her experience, sing self talk therapy as she feels fit.

    Kristina, I have been following your wonderful videos for a long time. I have never been to Texas so have not have the pleasure of going to your co-op. The thing is, your co-op is not a failure, it is just an experience for you to use what your have learned in your next new adventure. You have been incredibly giving, open, honest and providing your incredible recipes for free on TH-cam. Wow! Most chefs don't ever want to let out their secret recipes, especially not for free. Remember, everyone has the same 24 hours to get things done and you have done more wonderful things in your young life for others than most people do in their whole life. Now stop that crying, let yourself be happy again, and everything will work out.

    people are so full of anger. They only judge and comments here saddened me. Nobody realizes how extremely hard it is to build what you did. People don't even know how much work it is to create content for insta or youtube and people don't understand that if there were no pesticides in the world then the cost of food will actually be $10 per juice. Everyone feels entitled to cheap food, but cheap price comes only with chemicals. If food was grown naturally the whole America won't even afford to go out for meals or throw away half of your lunch, or have snacks 5 times a day. And I do understand that seeing your business close makes you cry, but everything will be ok.

    Kristina.. I am so sorry that you are feeling so sad and so much loss over your beautiful Co-op. The best years of your life are not over, if you don't let them be over. You provided people for 11 years with BEAUTIFUL fresh organic produce that nourished their bodies and brought you years of endless happiness. That is a HUGE feat. You will have to re-discover yourself, which is so difficult. I have lost so much in my life, most of my family.. i know loss. But you are young, vibrant and WILL start something new and fresh and amazing. Your videos help. Your recipes help. YOU help. You are one of THE most positive people that I have ever watched, and you help with just your positive beautiful outlook on life.
    You have and will continue to do amazing things in life. I 1000% believe that. We only live here on this planet one time in these short lives that we have and I know that you will spend the rest of yours doing incredible and fulfilling things.

    You are a pioneer in our adulterated food system today. It's because of pioneers like you, that have caused a start in the huge movement in America's food system to have more clean options available. The demand for organics have grown and their availability has driven the prices lower than ever making them more available to people. You are right, you are in a pivotal time in your life - growing up or just growing isn't always fun or easy. It does make us better and stronger (mostly). Don't stop what you are doing. You are educating and helping so many people, and not just at the Co-Op, all over the world! You are in no way failing - AT ALL!!! I believe you will continue educating around the world and not just in Texas. Through your videos, your travels, classes you may teach, and now your books you will continue what you love with people who need your help. Thank you for investing all of yourself to educate the world. You are doing a fantastic job, more than you realize. So, Chin UP!!! You will continue to SHINE, sending Love back to YOU during your transformation in the wonderful metamorphosis known as Life

    Kristina, today I was meditating on the story of Noah from the bible and what I got out of it was that sometimes we just need a clean sweep in our lives!! If God , being God said he was sorry he had made the human race and it broke his heart just seeing all the evil that he had to start all over!! Even God had to start all over ! It is ok to start over Kristina, sometimes it is just necessary! I know better and bigger things are in store for you.
    GENESIS 6 As far as God was concerned, the Earth had become a sewer; there was violence everywhere. God took one look and saw how bad it was, everyone corrupt and corrupting-life itself corrupt to the core.
    13 God said to Noah, “It’s all over. It’s the end of the human race. The violence is everywhere; I’m making a clean sweep.

    Wow, I'm so sorry Kristina. In the age of overwhelming greed and capitalism, it's a scary big fish eats little fish type world and small/mom and pop businesses are getting devoured. I wouldn't say you are a failure (even though I would understand why you feel like that)...you inspired soooo many people to take control of their health by eating more plants, like me! And I...US...are extremely grateful for that! Honestly I think this is a turning point in your life, maybe you are too big for Texas. When I failed I left my home state, begin to travel, discovered more about myself, learned some (hard) lessons and met my fiancée so the journey was/is well worth it. Idk the past month has been rough for a lot of people (myself included) but healing is inevitable as long as we trust God and have faith that there is a larger more beautiful plan for our lives. Good luck girl and lots of hugs! (P.S. I'm making a peach mango salsa to go in my Mexican inspired salad tonite, I will feast in your honor!)

Depression has taken over my life due to loss. I am all too familiar with grief. We have never met, so imagine that I can see you for you because of your selfless genuity. Your right, it's okay to feel the pain. It will bring the Phoenix out of you... I know this to be true, believe it or not you, yes YOU help ignite the Phoenix in me by sharing all the amazing recipies. Yes, I love you for caring for all of us. A king had a son that the king said was destined to lead his people to a peaceful, harmonious existence. The prince loved the people with all his heart as did the king. The prince also loved his horse, who was stubborn and headstrong. The king pleaded with the prince to not ride the ornery animal. One day, the prince rode the horse out into the village. The horse was spooked by a rat and threw the prince to the ground, breaking his leg.
    While the prince was recovering at home, the kingdom was invaded and all the warriors were harmed. The prince was devastated that he was unable to fight. But....
    He did recover. And he grew stronger. And he learned not only how to love peacefully, but how to fight fiercely. He redeveloped his army with new warriors and gave his beloved people the harmony and security he was destined to give them.
    This is just your broken leg, Kristina. You will heal and you will be strong. You will fulfill your destiny and you will be loved. But, right now, you've gotta rest and mend. Things will work themselves out.

      Sophia Wisdom my response above: I DID NOT SELL MY COMPANY. 🙏🏽💓✨

    Why Do You HAVE To Let Go OfTHE MEMORIES? Keep the memories, especially as you process the lessons learned, build on it, WHEN READY -- listen for those lessons -- those deeper lessons just for you. Deeper than coop, but that will take time. Best yea rs of your life NOT OVER!! I'm 68 years old and have lost people and dreams and hopes and taken, unexpected, mental & emotions detours, that have, now, finally all worked together for the overall good. You have not lost your parents and siblings yet, so you have Not lost everything! THIS IS WHAT LIFE IS!! You will learn more mature lessons and yes, they're meant to teach you -- you know the things happening -- TRUST, FAITH! The tools you'll need sharpened in your quiver! So . . . CRY, its okay! Welcome to life! You'll eventually be alright, better, different -- 30 years old -- wow, wait, until you look back 30 more years . . . . there are still things I don't know . . . still things I am waiting to fulfill & sometimes wonder if I ever will . . . Yet, somehow, each new day a new opportunity given, so I must REALLY die-to-my-flesh-wants-lower thinking & manage to simply thrust this Life Journey . . . step-by-step-little-by-little. . . day-by-day . . . moment-by-moment! PLEASE PRACTICE THIS: DON'T THINK ABOUT WHAT OTHERS THINK . . . keep walking your journey!! SHINE GIRL SHINE -- CRY GIRL CRY -- HEAL GIRL HEAL -- keep living! Read about the lives of GREAT PEOPLE -- THEY "FAILED" many, many, many more times than they "succeeded!" Success is to keep walking YOUR JOURNEY! I am still inspired by you -- just put it out there! What people receive is not our part (I feel the same in trying to educate folk), but the bigger picture bigger than us -- just do your small part! Blessings! & Light & Love

    Kristina, I am 37 yrs old. Last year I was forced to close my law practice when I was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer and given a short time to live due in part to my decision to heal with food. I too am single with no children because my business was my baby. Watching your journey for the past several years helped give me the strength to fight for my rights to heal Rawfully Organic. Your 11 year journey was not walked in vain. Thank you!

      GoodLightGoddess hello there dear! Please check out the TH-cam channel of a gentleman who healed his stage 3 colon cancer through natural means of nutrition! His channel name is ChrisBeatCancer - he explains exactly what he did, and how to do it! The body was designed by God to heal itself when given the means to be fueled for healing! It's encouraging to hear that you have taken that route so far! If you get a chance to check it out, let me know what you think! May the blessings of the Lord be with you all the days of your healing, and onward!

    Dearest Kristina, your vulnerability is so beautiful and touching, thank you so much for sharing even the darker parts of life with us. I felt my heart hurt so much when you had to compose yourself or talk about discernment or saying I'm Fine. It's perfectly okay to not be okay. You deserve to have people around you that want to be there with you during the good and also during the bad.
    You're perfectly worthy of love and connection with people when you're emotional, or experiencing anger and resentment. It makes complete sense why you'd be feeling those ways, and anyone else would be feeling the same exact things in that circumstance. You are such a beautiful soul who is absolutely doing her best where she is with what she has, and I know you will continue to shine your light so bright. Here with you during this hard time, you're not alone. I love you.

    Just swinging in to say thank you for this video. I've been watching your videos for years. I have had friends and family pick up products from you to support local co-ops and vendors like Rawfully Organic. In truth, the products were a bit out my budget but what grabbed my support of your co-op was your message. Thriving internally and externally.
    I became a raw vegan about 8 years ago after someone passing word about you. It was a total and exceptional lifestyle change. I stayed a raw vegan for about 1 year. Slowly transitioned into becoming a pescatarian thanks to the culinary information I gathered from amazing chefs like Jon Bonnell and Barbara Scott-Goodman. But thanks to your work in spreading awareness and others similar to you, it has completely and permanently altered my life for the better.
    Thank you. With that being said, I find myself in a similar boat. Not to the same extent but I too am shutting down my business of crafting sweets, treats, and desserts with organic, local and non-gmo ingredients. It was expensive, yes, but there were people willing to pay for it and I was there to happily provide. Some weddings I did were raw vegan cakes to full fat and addictive sugar, all organic and most ingredients being locally sourced.
    A couple of weeks ago, prior to viewing this video, I came to the conclusion to shut it down after about 4 humbling years; over two of those years were based out of my home kitchen. Blood, sweat and tears turned into culinary masterpieces composed of sugary magic. At least that is what I would like to think.
    Long story short, it just wasn't profitable. Bigger businesses started to sell products similar to mine for a small fraction of the price. Were they as tasty? Absolutely not! As appealing and creative (bespoke)? Not even. It lacked quality but despite this, more people started turning to the more established big businesses versus a small business that barely grazed the news and never published a book. The financial climate is not composed of the small and priviliged set of regular customers I had. So, it hurt to let her go but I'm taking it in like evolution. Locating new, better and innovative ways to business. Completely change career paths but with the central focus of providing health and positivity for families.
    Maybe see if I can franchise Kimbal Musk's The Kitchenette? Cultivate green technology and offer locals to interact with it? Maybe utilize something like Mark Norton's Picked Fresh Farms garden in a freight car in the Houston area? I don't know. Just thinking out loud as I do not fully know what my next step is. I don't know what's next but I pray for guidance and discernment in these times. And for you as well, Kristina.
    Looking forward to seeing more of you and your content in the near future. :)
    And thank you.
