    A minor correction. When propane burns it breaks down to carbon dioxide and water vapor. The water vapor created by the flame condenses on the surface of the metal until the heat drives it off. Moisture doesn't out of the metal. If there was moisture in the metal it would rust.

    Awesome job! I can confirm the veracity of Mark's comment, it was covered in my machinist course, back in the 80s. As long as you don't get the part too hot, so that all the volitiles in the paint flash off, before the paint binds property, this system works great.

    Saw the calculator hanging in the background over the workbench. How did you do that? Looks handy

      There is a magnet on the back of the calculator so it just sticks to the plate or you can pull it of and use it on the bench.

      John I don't know but if you try go easy on the heat.
