I think in the video Chris, Ricky, and Ryan represent something/anyone who has gone through mental health. Chris- being trapped by his own self, and defeating the bad in the end. I've had a lot of thoughts in my past that don't sit well with my conscience, but they cross my mind anyway. It's hard to find the motivation to keep living when I think of all the pain I've caused to other people and myself. It makes me wonder what makes life worth living. I haven't had as hard of a life as some people have, but most of the crap I've dealt with has made me hate myself because I feel like I have failed my friends and family. It's hard to talk about because they mean a lot to me, and I don't want them to know how I feel about myself. It might be for different reasons, but nonetheless, I keep it all inside. This song is probably my top favorite of MIW. The reason why this song is my favorite is because I deal with severe anxiety, depression, and intrusive thoughts that are brought on by OCD. I feel like this song describes the irrational fears that stem from the conditions I deal with on a daily basis. The irrational thoughts and fears are the "voices" in my head. I'm glad this song was made by MIW because it helped me realize that other people out there deal with the same things as me and obviously deal with other personal demons then the stuff i mentioned above. This song gives me hope to keep battling the demons and realize I'm not alone.

If I could give my life to anyone I would in a heartbeat. I rage 'I don't even want to be here' in my head almost everyday. Chris, the vocalist, has said a few times he takes inspiration from Breaking Benjamin's vocals. Check out "Holding On to Smoke." It has heavy Breaking Benjamin vibes. I love it 'cause I grew up with Breaking Benjamin & it gives a modern sound with a nostalgic feel to it.

Mental health is a scary thing because it never leaves you. Depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts are so powerful. Fighting with yourself every second of everyday is exhausting. This song shows that people are fighting so much with themselves that they lose who they truly are. This song describes what goes on with Me perfectly and I’m so grateful they created this song and the video is perfect for the message MIW are trying to get out to the fans. Like many other people in the comments, this song is important to me aswell. I spent a decade of my life being scared, having one mindset - mostly negative unfortunately. Growing up with a controlling brother, narcisstic personalities and so much more. Your music helped me get through it all. I was taught at a young age to obey what my brother wanted while I was neglected and seen my mom constantly get told what to do. My mom passed from stage 4 a year ago and I still struggle with every heart wrenching thing I seen growing up. I was the light in the darkness for my mother and my heart hurts that I couldn't save here although I tried. I miss my mom. She's finally free from him. But I wanted her to be free while she was still here... :(

But what I love about this song is no matter how loud the voices tend to get after listening to this song over and over some days, it helps calm things down. Mental health is a real struggle for me and many others. I'm a big believer in getting the help you can. Journaling, meditation and hypnosis helps also. This song is probably my top favorite of MIW. The reason why this song is my favorite is because I deal with severe anxiety, depression, and intrusive thoughts that are brought on by OCD. I feel like this song describes the irrational fears that stem from the conditions I deal with on a daily basis. The irrational thoughts and fears are the "voices" in my head. I'm glad this song was made by MIW because it helped me realize that other people out there deal with the same things as me and obviously deal with other personal demons then the stuff i mentioned above. This song gives me hope to keep battling the demons and realize I'm not alone.

I feel for you. I don't like going places where there are a lot of people. I will go to concerts, but would rather be in a hidden seat somewhere, alone, than in the general audience. It's a strange feeling to not want to interact with others. Some days I just want to sit and watch paint dry. My depression is so bad I pray to God for nothing, but death. If I could give my life to anyone I would in a heartbeat. I rage 'I don't even want to be here' in my head almost everyday. I'm in college and Sooo happy we have to do online learning due to COVID-19. That's like winning the lottery for me. I wish you the best! Just remember, you are NOT alone out there.

Like many other people in the comments, this song is important to me aswell. I spent a decade of my life being scared, having one mindset - mostly negative unfortunately. Growing up with a controlling brother, narcisstic personalities and so much more. Your music helped me get through it all. I was taught at a young age to obey what my brother wanted while I was neglected and seen my mom constantly get told what to do. My mom passed from stage 4 a year ago and I still struggle with every heart wrenching thing I seen growing up. I was the light in the darkness for my mother and my heart hurts that I couldn't save here although I tried. I miss my mom. She's finally free from him. But I wanted her to be free while she was still here... :(

Okay they seem to be fighting against themselves, maybe accepting it, whatever it might be and I really like that other members were included MORE in video. MiW are simply melodic metalcore with a gothic theme/influence and that is it.

Alexander You are in the wrong if you think Marilyn Manson is og industrial metal. Try listening to bands like Alien Sex Feind or Godflesh, that is what constitutes the genre mainly
Another thing is about metalcore, which is metallic hardcore (bands like Converge, Integrity) and not melodic metalcore (Kilswitch Engage, BFMV, somewhat MiW)
I really like MIW for what they are, just wanted to correct the genre a little bit, please dont mind
