NO ONE has ever sang this song the way that Dionne delivered it! And the orchestra complementing her vocal performance actually makes her version better than the original.

Hands down Barbra Streisand has the best version of this song.
Dionne covering that song brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. A great singer has the ability to tell the story and make you a part of the experience. Dionne does it every time. Some singers have great vocal abilities, but only a few can sing you into an experience. Dionne, Aretha, Gladys, and Diana Ross can do that every time.
Dionne was a beast back in the day! She does not get the recognition she deserves!

She was always a voice but it is always her musicianship that blows me away. You can tell she is a trained musician, not just a singer. Listen to any of her songs and her control of dynamics is lightyears ahead of any of her contemporaries, to say nothing of the many singers that came after her (and yes that includes Whitney). She is a national treasure.
All these years. I knew she was a good singer. But, I NEVER knew she could sing like that?? It blew my mind. She’s definitely one of the best vocalist. To me. In my humble opinion. ☺️

The problem with Dionne WARWICK is that when she sang GOOD songs from a GOOD Burt BACHARACH (with whom she became mostly famous), she is very good... but when she sings EXCEPTIONAL songs by an EXCEPTIONAL Stevie WONDER, she's just stunning, incredible, overpowering. Well there's no real word to express what I feel hearing this. Thank you Mr WONDER, thank you Mrs WARWICK....

She is truly one of the top legends. Her rasp is everything and she is always on point, and what people fail to realize is that when she first started her voice was soooo smooth and pristine. So clear and precise and she added rasp to get give he music more color and as he voice mature more rasp came. Queen Dionne!🔥❤️👑 She is just like Whitney the gift runs in the family one of a kind. Dionne has so much power and emotion and she always sings so elegantly and effortlessly she sang from the heart and it was so easy for her!

I also heard Nancy Wilson sing this song. One of my favorite songs written by Stevie Wonder. He also wrote Till You Come Back To Me that was sung by Aretha. I can say it's such a great song that whomever sang it I liked it.
Hello, i am French. Dionne Warwick also unique voice that stands out personnally. EX: Céline Dion has a voice powerfull but heavy voice. Shout, shout, shout, always too mutch. Two or three songs of Céline, for me, it's good. Dionne Warwinck all night long.Dionne Warwick, précious voice, measured, doudt in pleasure. Really, thanch you at you.

For me Céline Dion has a powerfull voice but compared Dione, no finesse, emotion,, tonality that touches the csky. Dione has softness and strenght. Barbra streisand, yes yes yes. Il love jennifer Hollidaydeep powerfull voice but rhe émotion is a grace. A soul I that I do not find Céline Dion who sings to show that she know how to sing. Singing is a feat of god. Some charm. Sorry but la black voices more authentic. I am french. Black voices are touch a true of song, the heart and the soul. I am artist painting and i thing my roots are in me an ancestral transmission. Why?????? For me, the song is a truth and a freedom sheathead like the light that transcends time, the life, the death, suffering. In french many adore Jhonnu Halliday (he is dead) who had a powerfull voice but for me without expression, just good vocals cords but it lacks that comes from for away. However, the are some exceptions. Janis joplin, phils collins, Freddy mercury witch is born Zanzibar. Thanck you for my heart.
