Hi all... We just finished an 80 minute documentary now being distributed by Contemporary Arts Media looking at Dalip Sondhi's work behind the scenes in rehearsals and interviews with him and his actors. Hardly any of the online interview content is in it. It was great to be a fly on the wall and watch the process and question Dalip and the cast. The trailer link is above and is viewable on our channel
I disagree with the end comment regarding screen acting. If an emotion is demonstarted on screen ie: "be affrad", the camera will pick this up and the perfomance will look forced. I think the technique you are applying in theatre will and dose work with screen actors. The Chekhov technique is is equaly valid and useful for screen actors.
the guy at the 4 minute marker hits it on the head to much acting today blurs the line .Alot of actors today use their own psychosis in their work instead of just playing the character and leaving themselves out of it .Case and point Heath ledger as the joker if he had practiced this same detachment .He wouldn't of lost his shit

You offer a certified course for Chekhov? If so, where?
