@@TTninja yea I do get your point but you k ow many religion have many groups in them like Christianity which has protestants and Catholics you are right but they have a little difference in beliefs I think
At a point you can’t control it. People develop psychological problems through trauma etc. They don’t want to be bad but it’s all numb, it’s just pain. I believe there are people who are evil because they are truly bad people, although a lot, are just really really hurt and messed up.
She was a victim in the beginning monster at the end. And no I don’t think she would have still burned ppl if she was more loved because she wouldn’t be mad about not being loved.
@@bespectacledperson2316 I kinda disagree with that. Your trauma dosen't give you a right to be a horrible person. I agree that back then Therapie wasn't a thing. And that she never got help but only because people are hurting me dosen't mean I can hurt them...
i agree she was a victim honestly feel bad for her of what she went through but after watching this she was waiting to get into power and get revenge on the people that gave her a horrible life honestly i would do the same thing
I was actually diagnosed with dysmenorrhea in the 6th grade, it was really horrible, and I endured vomiting as well which got worse every time. I never stopped crying, it was excruciating.
@Madeline Myers Mary burned 300 protestants in her 5 yr reign, that's it. I don't know where did you get that information cause I've been watching documentaries mostly about her and they didn't mention that " torturing girls" thing. If mary did that then protestants would have written it down in history since it would make her look more "evil", which they like
I think that anyone who actually has a lot of knowledge on the life of Mary Tutor would agree with you. The people who say she was evil, most likely do not know her life in depth.
Add me to the 'victim' column. The reason she was so obsessive likely related to it being the only mental refuge she had. Stripped of everything she had ever known, the one thing they couldn't possibly take was her faith. Thus, any perceived threat to catholicism was also a threat to the very foundation of her being. I imagine that her endometriosis and other hardships also likely gave her a belief that hardship was the foundation of faith and pain the path to salvation.
i know what she did was wrong, but she’s been traumatized her whole life...it does take a toll on the way your mind works you know, she lived a horrible life i kinda feel bad for her but more for the innocent people who lost lives..
@prkzip Stop defending her she killed so much and many people had a worst lives and haven’t killed anyone. Especially if it was a man people would only think as him as evil.
@Cool Dude, listen up. She was foreshadowed and was traumatized, it takes a toll on some people. People believe her actions were sick, yes, but she thought that when she burned them it burned all their sins off and they would go to Heaven, considering her strong Catholicity. So you should not be able to go around saying that she's a horrible person just because you don't understand her story completely.
She was a victim in her childhood and a monster during her rule. What she did while she was queen cannot be excused just because of the suffering she had experienced.
Nobody: Not a single soul: Not even james charles: Not even lil pump: Not even your sleep paralysis Infographics show: lets put some alien theme music.
She reminds me so much of Darth Vader in a way. She lived in constant agony, felt betrayed by those she was closest to, suffered the death of a loved one and became reckless due to her instability.
i agree. Henry also abused her *so* badly when she was just a teenager. He even starved her at times, and she was beaten. I can't imagine what that must have been like, especially when she wasn't allowed to see Catherine at the same time 😭😭😭😭
Above all , the fact that Henry was ready to overthrow the Catholic church just for a woman he apparently loved...just shows that sometimes love can blind us sooo much
I'm not sure it was for the sake of love, I'd rather say for the power. Since the first wife couldn't bear a son, and he was in need to get one by all means possible, he was looking for any possible way to do that. Even if that meant the revolution of the church. I'm not even sure if he ever loved either of his wives.
No, mary never liked elizabeth, she hated her so much that she wanted Elizabeth to suffer the pain..she taught sending Elizabeth to her mother aka Anne's prison will make her go through suffering and pain.
If she had more love in her life she wouldn't have killed people but also been a better person to be around, her story is honestly sad in more ways than one. I feel bad for her alot now
@@purvaramteke5436 yeah, hurt fits better, but I used abused because I wanted people to know how badly Henry abused Mary. Not many people know about what she went through when her father was with Anne
Surprising fact: These “phantom pregnancies” occur even today, and most doctors encounter at least one woman who absolutely believes they are in advanced pregnancy (sometimes for years) even though blood tests and ultrasound are negative. It is not well understood, but happens in other mammals as well.
I think it’s related to a fantasy disorder which is rare for people to have. But basically people with this disorder often have phantom pregnancies imagining even the baby kicking.
Just a little fix: Mary and Elizabeth weren't reinstated in the line of succession until Henry's 6th wife (Katharine Parr) influenced and encouraged him to make up with his daughters.
I think that Mary was both a victim, and a monster. What happened in her life made her become the monster, but she was also both the victim because her father, and her brother, treated her badly. Plus, she was never married until she took over the throne, and her father forced her to squash her religious beliefs throughout his reign in her later life. She wanted so desperately to have a child that the poor woman manage to trick herself into thinking that she was pregnant when she wasn’t, further proving that at times, she just wasn’t in reality either. She clearly had mental issues as well as physical issues.
My name is Cathrine of Aragon married 24 years I’m a paragon of royalty, my loyalty is to the Vatican so if you try to dump me, you won’t try that again
I feel Mary is both a victim and a monster. This is sadly very common when people are abused and neglected as children and will do anything to satisfy and support the only thing that did consistently give her comfort, her faith. Her story is both tragic and a cautionary tale. Deal with your traumas before they deal a deadly or simply devastating blow to those who love you..... including yourself.
She’s my favorite Queen Regnant. The fact that she burned people was the same way Henry VIII and Elizabeth I did, but no one blamed Elizabeth. What’s an irony?? I believe that if Mary had lived longer, she could have brought England to the Golden Age as well. I once read some articles saying that she was the one who initiated the idea of land surveying like her grandmother, Queen Isabella of Spain, yet this large project was practical in the reign of her half-sister. If Mary was a monster, she would get rid of Elizabeth but she didn’t.
She is both a victim and a villain. They aren't mutually exclusive, and she is a perfect example of that.

I'm sure almost every monster in history has a backstory of heartache and pain, doesn't change the fact that they are a monster.
ShadowRavenRaz I agree
Propaganda is alive and well.
At a point you can’t control it. People develop psychological problems through trauma etc. They don’t want to be bad but it’s all numb, it’s just pain. I believe there are people who are evil because they are truly bad people, although a lot, are just really really hurt and messed up.
I disagree. Monsters are born not created. Mary was never messed up in the start. If anyone is to blame, it's her father. Henry was the real monster.
No, EVERY VILLAIN don't have TRAGIC BACKSTORY...

Tbh I just pity her. She had a miserable life, and inflicted lots of misery onto others
Did you know that Mary tortured over 400 girls to death in her castle? I have no sympathy. Its one of history's untold mysterys.
Madeline Myers I said ‘pity’
@Madeline Myers Mary burned 300 protestants in her 5 yr reign, that's it. I don't know where did you get that information cause I've been watching documentaries mostly about her and they didn't mention that " torturing girls" thing. If mary did that then protestants would have written it down in history since it would make her look more "evil", which they like
Okk
Well said
Welcome to the victim column! I love mary so much
To believe suffering brings salvation is certainly very Catholic…
@@candicefrost4561Protestants don’t believe that?

@prkzip Stop defending her she killed so much and many people had a worst lives and haven’t killed anyone. Especially if it was a man people would only think as him as evil.
@Cool Dude, listen up. She was foreshadowed and was traumatized, it takes a toll on some people. People believe her actions were sick, yes, but she thought that when she burned them it burned all their sins off and they would go to Heaven, considering her strong Catholicity. So you should not be able to go around saying that she's a horrible person just because you don't understand her story completely.

I'm not sure it was for the sake of love, I'd rather say for the power.
Infertility and incredible bloating (to the point where you appear pregnant) are both symptoms of endometriosis.
Just a little fix: Mary and Elizabeth weren't reinstated in the line of succession until Henry's 6th wife (Katharine Parr) influenced and encouraged him to make up with his daughters.
No one....
Me: satisfied cause the video is exactly 15 minutes long.

She's my favorite. She's very interesting to learn about.
