Sir Dennis may tips kapo ba yong naka 2nd gear kana tas gusto mong mag 3rd, pero hindi mo nakakabig ang steering wheel sa right, nadadala ko kasi paminsan minsan, hehe pero hindi naman gaano kalakihan kabig ko pero pumunta talaga sa right pag nag up shift ako hehehehe..ginagawa ko nlng hinihigpitan ko nang kapit para hindi sya nagalaw sa right pag nag Up shift :D
Hindi dapat naaapektuhan ang paghawak mo sa steering sa pagupshift mo dahil basically magkaibang kamay ang gamit mo. Presence or mind lang at syempre practice. May I ask lang po paano po mag downshift for better engine breaking sa pababang kalsada mag rerevmatch pa po ba? for example po naka3rd gear ako at gusto ko po mag 2nd gear mag revmatch pa po ba or hindi na po kailangan? Slaamt po sa sasagot

Yes usually kc spiral parking ang mga nasa malls at kapag pababa ka kailangan mo ang engine brake ng lower gears to limit the speed and better control the vehicle. Engaging it in 1st gear to use its engine brake from stand still or very low speed like 10kph and below is ok but engaging it in 1st gear while the vehicle is rolling at about 20kph and above is a big NO. Sir Dennis magandang araw po. Question lang, sa pagdownshift po ba ok lang lagi mag manual rev match/accelerator blip? Napansin ko dito nung nagdownshift kayo from 3rd to 2nd hindi na kayo nag revmatch. Been driving for almost a decade now and napakadami ko pa din po sa inyo natututunan (isa na po dun yung rev match na hanggang ngayon eh kailangan ko pa din sanayin sarili ko). Actually revmatch is only needed and beneficial kapag kailangan mo magdownshift na uneven ang revs ng makina sa kasalukuyang speed ng sasakyan.. Ibig sabihin di match ang rpm ng makina sa speed ng sasakyan para sa gear na ipapasok mo kaya need mo mag blip ng accelerator para bahangyang tumaas ang rpm at makapagdownshift ka smoothly. Meron na akong video tungkol dyan I suggest panoorin mo kung dimo pa napanood. Note na kapag normal driving situation ay usually no need to revmatc kagaa ng nakita mo sa video na ito. Is it ok to downshift an automatic transmission to use engine braking to supplement normal braking? I mean sequentially selecting lower gears for every stop you make, as a routine.

Do not put the transmission in neutral kapag nasa downhill delikado maaring mawalan ka ng control sa sasakyan. Better downshift to a lower gear to limit ng cars speed at a manageable pace. Ka fixit nakakatakot kapag may malalaking truck sa likuran ko, baka kse anytime mawalan sila ng preno ....maliit lang kse kotse namin..kaya ginagawa ko pinapalampas ko nalang sya tumatabi muna ako sa gilid kung may space ..hindi ko talaga kaya patagalin yung truck na naka sunod sakin ksi baka mapitpit nya ako..mas mabuti pang nasa likuran ako at nsa harapan ko yung truck na sinusundan ko ..kesa sa ang truck ay nasa likuran ko at sumusunod sa akin...nakakatakot .....marami na ksing case na ganon yung mga truck na nawawalan ng preno tapos bigla ka nalang babanggain ng hindi mo nalalaman kse nasa likod mo sila ..any time pede sila ma lose break .kaya ingat ingat sa mlalaking truck mga guys...

I would not say na alternative kc magkaiba sila ng gamit. Revmatch is when your reving the engine to match the current speed of the vehicle. Engine brake is when you slowdown using the engine. Walang magiging masamang epekto yun sa automatic transmission dahil its designed to work that way basta ginagawa mo ito ng tama.

Sir Dennis may tips kapo ba yong naka 2nd gear kana tas gusto mong mag 3rd, pero hindi mo nakakabig ang steering wheel sa right, nadadala ko kasi paminsan minsan, hehe pero hindi naman gaano kalakihan kabig ko pero pumunta talaga sa right pag nag up shift ako hehehehe..ginagawa ko nlng hinihigpitan ko nang kapit para hindi sya nagalaw sa right pag nag Up shift :D
Hindi dapat naaapektuhan ang paghawak mo sa steering sa pagupshift mo dahil basically magkaibang kamay ang gamit mo. Presence or mind lang at syempre practice.

May I ask lang po paano po mag downshift for better engine breaking sa pababang kalsada mag rerevmatch pa po ba? for example po naka3rd gear ako at gusto ko po mag 2nd gear mag revmatch pa po ba or hindi na po kailangan? Slaamt po sa sasagot

Sir debarge meyron po ako kaibigan noon na sa halip na engine brake ay yung handbrake na naka angat ng konti pra bumagal ang sasakyan sa palusong, mali yun diba ?
Mali yun ka Fixit dahil nagkakaroon ng uneccesary wear and tear ang rear brakes na maaring magresulta sa pagoverheat at mawalan ng preno ang sasakyan sa rear.

Yes usually kc spiral parking ang mga nasa malls at kapag pababa ka kailangan mo ang engine brake ng lower gears to limit the speed and better control the vehicle. Engaging it in 1st gear to use its engine brake from stand still or very low speed like 10kph and below is ok but engaging it in 1st gear while the vehicle is rolling at about 20kph and above is a big NO.

Sir Dennis magandang araw po. Question lang, sa pagdownshift po ba ok lang lagi mag manual rev match/accelerator blip? Napansin ko dito nung nagdownshift kayo from 3rd to 2nd hindi na kayo nag revmatch. Been driving for almost a decade now and napakadami ko pa din po sa inyo natututunan (isa na po dun yung rev match na hanggang ngayon eh kailangan ko pa din sanayin sarili ko). Hope you can accommodate the question. Thank you po.

Actually revmatch is only needed and beneficial kapag kailangan mo magdownshift na uneven ang revs ng makina sa kasalukuyang speed ng sasakyan.. Ibig sabihin di match ang rpm ng makina sa speed ng sasakyan para sa gear na ipapasok mo kaya need mo mag blip ng accelerator para bahangyang tumaas ang rpm at makapagdownshift ka smoothly.
Meron na akong video tungkol dyan I suggest panoorin mo kung dimo pa napanood.
Note na kapag normal driving situation ay usually no need to revmatc kagaa ng nakita mo sa video na ito.

I already mentioned in this video ma wag pong gagamitin ang engine brake nag 1st gear malo ma kapag mabilis and takbo nh sasakyan. Delikado dahil maaaring mawalan ka ng control as biglang pagbaba nagspeed.

Is it ok to downshift an automatic transmission to use engine braking to supplement normal braking? I mean sequentially selecting lower gears for every stop you make, as a routine.

Gud am ka fix it tanong ko lng po kung pa downhill ako tpos naka 4th gear ako pwede ba ako mgbawas ng gear o ilagay ko po sa neutral bago lng po akong driver salamat ka fix it God bless.
Do not put the transmission in neutral kapag nasa downhill delikado maaring mawalan ka ng control sa sasakyan. Better downshift to a lower gear to limit ng cars speed at a manageable pace. Dahil makakatulong sa pagmamanehi mo ang engine break na maipoprovide ng lower gears to beter handle the vehicle.

Pwede din naman pro usually mas mabilis na babagal ang sasakyan mo kapag gumamit ka ng engine break sa uphill dahil sa gravity pull lalo na kung masyadong paakyat na kalsada.

I would not say na alternative kc magkaiba sila ng gamit. Revmatch is when your reving the engine to match the current speed of the vehicle. Engine brake is when you slowdown using the engine.
