I also really like JHAG and probably got Sunny Side Up because of you. I just sprayed Another Oud on because it's kind of a comforting scent like a library. Vanilla Vibes is really good and pairs really well with SDJ Cherosa 62. I also really like Magnolia Bliss for a light refreshing floral.
I blind bought a JHAG mini in the Vanilla Vibes during the Sephora sale. I absolutely CANNOT stop wearing it! I have four other fragrances that I love so much, but this one has completely jumped to my favorite. I’m definitely buying a larger size very soon.
I bought and returned Lust for Sun. It was 100% gardenia for me. 😵💫 I don’t mind a little bit of white florals, but they were like BAM! Nopity nope for me.
I gave mine to housekeeping.. it smells like a room spray used in hotel lobbies or guestrooms. That's the difference between cheaper fragrances and more expensive "niche" fragrances. Lust for Sun is mostly white flowers yet it smells cheap and harsh. Creed's "Love in White" is also mostly white flowers yet it is *much* higher quality and is intoxicating.. perfect for a bride on her wedding day. 🦋🦋

I've never smelled any of these and I probably never will (in all honesty) BUT! I’m dying to get my nose on Lipstick Fever! I have the (discontinued) Replica Lipstick On. While I like it and really appreciate the scent, it’s a little “mature” for me. I think Lipstick Fever seems like a little bit more of a fun take on the same idea.
I love that I'm on this same scent wave!! Sunny Side Up is one of my all time favorite perfumes I own, and definitely top from this house. I was incredibly excited to see they included a sample of Lust for Sun with my order, but was also immediately let down. I agree that to my nose, this is very floral heavy... Specifically gardenia. I get a splash of vanilla and a waft of coconut, but the florals sat heavy with me all day. Usually I enjoy more expressive/bold scents, but my scent bubble did not enjoy being filled with this. Unfortunately a scrubber. I did however recently fall in love with Lili Fantasy, which surprised me... A girly fun bubblegum tuberose dream.
Love this house too! My favorites so far are Anyway (great Summer scent thats similar to MM but a bit sweeter) and Mmm (sweet, powdery and definitely musky)!! I do love SSU and PI too!

I LOVE Musc Invisible! I’m a sucker for the Jasmine + Musk combo and I’m a huge fan of a cotton note as a lover of clean laundry. And according to the notes that’s all that’s in there lol. However despite the name “invisible” that perfume is a BEAST on me. That’s my only JHAG bottle but I would love one of Sunny Side Up 👀
I got to smell Lust For Sun during the Sephora Sale. I was disappointed. It was much more floral and not enough coconut. I was hoping for the opposite. Pear Inc is my favorite and one of my favorite scents ever. I think part of it is because it smells so similar to the pears my grandpa grew. It's so nostalgic 😍
I agree with the statement about your scent bubble being too full! The first time I wore it I thought it was beautiful and the second time I thought I was being suffocated by the white florals. I thought I was the only one! I’m going to give it a second chance though and will go lighter on the spray.

My first wear of Lust for Sun was not an automatic hit. The tropical florals never quit. Nothing else came through, and overall, the flowers (ylang-ylang) smelled metallic and loud. I purchased the travel spray, and will work with it more. Spray sparingly! That might have been my mistake because, unlike Vanilla Vibes and Sunny Side Up, Lust for Sun projects!!!
That’s a great video concept! I would love it if you wanted to do it for any other “niche” house! I quickly smelled Lust for Sun at Sephora and it’s not for me. Sunny Side Up is my favorite from this house but I’m not in love enough with any of their fragrance to buy a full size bottle. ETA no vanilla vibes?

i find a lot of fragrances in this house are a bit too synthetic for my taste. but i’m also a bit sensitive to ambroxan and don’t like when scents just dry down to just that
From most to least favourite, I have pear inc, not a perfume, and mmmm. I love all three but mmmm is pretty similar to hypnotic poison so it's redundant in my collection. I think I might get superdose because I really enjoy that one too!
I hated it on me when I tried it at Sephora. It read as all soapy strong florals with none of the coconut/vanilla/ambroxin. I tried to wash it off in the bathroom sink at the mall about an hour later. I did blind buy sunny side up based on your recommendation and I love it. I didn't like the vanilla vibes when I got it in a vanilla sampler a couple years ago, but I just got it again in a different sampler, so we'll see if I've changed my mind on it. I have samples of the not a perfume and it's definitely one I'd like to get a bigger one of at some point. The sunny side up just smells like alcohol on first whiff until it sinks into my skin, so yes, emperor's new perfume is a great description.
Try Phlur Solar Power! Similar vibes to Skylar Salt Air but more musky and a touch of white florals. It’s so good! Also have you tried Ellis Brooklyn Florist? Def stronger white florals than the Phlur but very creamy and still fresh.

I'd love to see a video about different online stores where to get niche fragrances (best prices, selection, shipping rates). I have no really fancy department stores (Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, etc) within a 100 mile radius so online stores are my only option. I have macys and JCPenney but they only have designer stuff.
I blind purchased a 100ml bottle of Lust for Sun as soon as I could get it. 🙄 (I'm in Canada, and for some reason, we could order it from Sephora a couple of days before the U.S.) Not at all what I thought it would be. At first I thought it was just me, but that seems to be the consensus - it's a white floral scent. Missing the other notes.
Love JHAG! I have NAP, Moscow Mule, Pear Inc, and Another Oud :) The shower gel is a little weird, I got a small bottle inf a NAP giftset awhile back and I'm glad it was essentially free because I'd be disappointed if I paid for it.
After hearing all the hype around Not a Perfume, I finally decided to try it out and... i couldnt smell it! Turns out I'm noseblind to cetalox, like your husband. I'm guessing anosmia to certain compounds is usually covered up by other notes in a fragrance. Since Not a Perfume is only made up of that one compound, it was very clear that my nose just doesn't pick up on that scent! Glad to hear I'm not the only one.
Ok sorry this is late, but I definitely agree with you on Lust for Sun. I love florals and all but I was expecting a lot more sunny with it. Instead I'm just...meh about it. Thanks for the video!
Another Oud is by far my fave JHAG perfume. I really enjoy Lipstick Fever (waxy lipsmackers vibes, anyone?) but, unfortunately, it has zero staying power on me. Vanilla Vibes and Sunny Side Up are summer staples and I layer Not a Perfume on lots of my other fragrances. Me over here wearing the house all year long 😂
I had the exact same reaction to Lust for Sun, very very floral to me! I even made a little video about it (I’m only an amateur at this point lol) but in that I talked about that hairspray sort of scent that you mentioned.. I totally agree, I wish the coconut and vanilla came out more 🙏🏼 But I really am a big fan of JHAG.. I own Not a Perfume, and a also travel size of Vanilla vibes and Sunny side up ☀️🤍

If you like sunny side up have you tried Tocca Colette? I’ve had it recommended that they are similar and while I do like sunny side up I like Tocca Colette much more! It’s also compared to Byredo Gypsy Water
Lauren, I would so value to hear your opinion on Bvlgaria’s Eau De Blanc. It’s been my favorite for years but it’s becoming so hard to find and I’d love to have some similar options that you think would work or compliment that scent as I love many of the perfumes you also jive with.
If you like Lipstick Fever, you NEED to pick up Liquid Illusions. It's a suuuuuper smooth version of Lipstick Fever. You can usually get it off Gilt at a decent price.
Not a Perfume is the only one I have liked so far. It was the first one I tried and I really like it. It has a strong "business woman in a suit ' scent on my skin. It definitely isn't a casual, every day, scent on me. I had high expectations for the others, but sadly they all fell short. They were just kind of meh, not special, I was so sad. Definitely, smell test first as she advised , because if you blind buy on notes alone you might be in for a surprise.
My top three from JHAG are Mmmm (wore that one at my wedding), Pear Inc, and Music Invisible. I want to love Sunny Side Up but for whatever reason it just doesn’t last on my skin
I’ve ordered a travel of Lust for Sun. Disappointed to hear you’re not into it and especially that you don’t detect much of that JHAG ambroxan. That’s what I was hoping for, a sparkly musky coconut but maybe I’ll have a different experience than you. I plan to get a full of Lipstick Fever, maybe next year. I’m crazy about it. I love a lipstick scent and can really smell the raspberry and ambroxan too even though it’s not listed. Lili Fantasy is coming to me in the mail in a full size. I love tuberose, especially when it’s bubblegum-y like in My Way and Lili Fantasy which actually has a gum note that I think is so fun. I was surprised you don’t detect that musky JHAG DNA in it because I for sure do. It’s so happy to me. I really wanted to love Sunny Side. The bottle is so cute and the notes are killer. I think my sample was too small, it kind of disappeared on me. I’ll try it again eventually. I also don’t like Pear Inc but only because pear annoys me typically so it’s an obvious nay for me. Overall I love the house though. Great vid! I feel so chilled out when I get to watch your reviews. :)
I really want to like JHAG but I’m unfortunately really sensitive to ambroxan so all the ones I’ve tried just smell like alcohol and hospitals to me. Lust for sun has been the first one I’ve tried I did like probably because it’s light on the ambroxan. Weirdly though a lot of my JHAG samples smell good on my husband because the ambroxan doesn’t come out so strong on him.
I got a free sample of not a perfume and oh my goodness…it was the worst thing I’ve ever smelled, I hated it so much 😭 Ive wanted to try sunny side up for years but that just turned me completely off so idk 😂
I have only tried NAP which I really like and I want to try more from the house, especially Pear, Inc and Sunny Side Up. But I have to be honest: I really do not care for the bottles, the house name, the font, just all of the aesthetics. Even the names of some of the fragrances. It’s silly that that’s important but it really influences if I want to test something or get a full bottle.
I am a bit turned off and now a bit suspect I ordered all samples from twisted lily, magnolia bliss, valaya, Creed for her I am hearing rave reviews left and right. Everything I have smells like a bug spray and no returns I am gonna have to put put my nose on them again in person, I have superdose, pear inc, not a perfume those are all so beautiful. As for lust for sun it's best I just keep my new Rio radiance from Sol De Janeiro might be the vibe instead from what I am hearing lol

Oh my goodness.... No lie... I have often thought of molecular scents as "Emperors New Clothes" fragrances!! I thought I was the only one. I feel like there are people at several brands giggling behind their hands that everyone is going crazy and paying 💸💸 for wispy, nothing fragrances that are only one note, maybe two. Where is the artistry? If someone composed a song and it had one or two notes, would it be worth listening to? How about a painting with one color? Sorry, I'm such a grump but sheesh! 😂🤷
I just got NAP and love the scent, so I ordered the shower gel and body lotion and they have absolutely NO SCENT to them. So disappointing! And they were so expensive!
I really like the 'Lust for Sun' but I very much enjoy white florals. The marketing is a bit deceptive in my opinion so I can see why you are disappointed with it. Summer perfumes tend to be all about the coconut and I totally agree that you can barely smell it. I didn't even know it had vanilla in it. I think mmmm... was disappointing to me. Lacked the sweetness I was expecting and 'new' smell is an accurate description.
I have many of the more popular scents from JHAG. Magnolia Bliss to me is a fruitier version of D&G light blue intense. Still has the same molecular skin quality but a bit fruity. It's what I wanted L'Imperatrice to be. I completely finished my travel size, and I'm planning to buy the full size. Pear, Inc. and Skin Reserve Radiant Nectar are super similar to my nose, but Skin brand goes rancid quickly to me and so I'd rather have Pear, Inc. Superdose is too loud for work. I feel like it has Oud in it, and I'm not an Oud fan. Vanilla Vibes screams summer. Like a tart, mouthwatering vanilla. Beachy without being coconut. I just get Sunny Side Up delivered today. So far it's creamy, milky sandalwood. Like a less dark version of Versace Crystal Noir. I can't wait to put it on skin! Your videos are amazing, and I love that you aren't reviewing what everyone else likes. Keep your uniqueness!!
I lovvvve not a perfume, it does perform on me differently almost every time I wear it, sometimes I smell it, sometimes I barely do, but I’ve definitely noticed that others smell it on me! I also love lipstick Fever, it’s hands down probably my fave 😅 I adore this house. I’ve sampled Moscow Mule and vanilla vibes as well, they were nice! I need to get my nose on sunny side up, I’m LOVING iso e super and all molecular scents rn! 🫶

From most to least favourite, I have pear inc, not a perfume, and mmmm. I love all three but mmmm is pretty similar to hypnotic poison so it's redundant in my collection. I think I might get superdose because I really enjoy that one too!
I havent smelled mmmm yet, but I have Hypnotic so that helps me imagine it more fully haha
I hated it on me when I tried it at Sephora. It read as all soapy strong florals with none of the coconut/vanilla/ambroxin. I tried to wash it off in the bathroom sink at the mall about an hour later. I did blind buy sunny side up based on your recommendation and I love it. I didn't like the vanilla vibes when I got it in a vanilla sampler a couple years ago, but I just got it again in a different sampler, so we'll see if I've changed my mind on it. I have samples of the not a perfume and it's definitely one I'd like to get a bigger one of at some point. The sunny side up just smells like alcohol on first whiff until it sinks into my skin, so yes, emperor's new perfume is a great description.
Try Phlur Solar Power! Similar vibes to Skylar Salt Air but more musky and a touch of white florals. It’s so good! Also have you tried Ellis Brooklyn Florist? Def stronger white florals than the Phlur but very creamy and still fresh.

I'd love to see a video about different online stores where to get niche fragrances (best prices, selection, shipping rates). I have no really fancy department stores (Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, etc) within a 100 mile radius so online stores are my only option. I have macys and JCPenney but they only have designer stuff.
I blind purchased a 100ml bottle of Lust for Sun as soon as I could get it. 🙄 (I'm in Canada, and for some reason, we could order it from Sephora a couple of days before the U.S.) Not at all what I thought it would be. At first I thought it was just me, but that seems to be the consensus - it's a white floral scent. Missing the other notes.
Love JHAG! I have NAP, Moscow Mule, Pear Inc, and Another Oud :) The shower gel is a little weird, I got a small bottle inf a NAP giftset awhile back and I'm glad it was essentially free because I'd be disappointed if I paid for it.
After hearing all the hype around Not a Perfume, I finally decided to try it out and... i couldnt smell it! Turns out I'm noseblind to cetalox, like your husband. I'm guessing anosmia to certain compounds is usually covered up by other notes in a fragrance. Since Not a Perfume is only made up of that one compound, it was very clear that my nose just doesn't pick up on that scent! Glad to hear I'm not the only one.

Another Oud is by far my fave JHAG perfume. I really enjoy Lipstick Fever (waxy lipsmackers vibes, anyone?) but, unfortunately, it has zero staying power on me. Vanilla Vibes and Sunny Side Up are summer staples and I layer Not a Perfume on lots of my other fragrances. Me over here wearing the house all year long 😂

I had the exact same reaction to Lust for Sun, very very floral to me! I even made a little video about it (I’m only an amateur at this point lol) but in that I talked about that hairspray sort of scent that you mentioned.. I totally agree, I wish the coconut and vanilla came out more 🙏🏼 But I really am a big fan of JHAG.. I own Not a Perfume, and a also travel size of Vanilla vibes and Sunny side up ☀️🤍

If you like sunny side up have you tried Tocca Colette? I’ve had it recommended that they are similar and while I do like sunny side up I like Tocca Colette much more! It’s also compared to Byredo Gypsy Water
Lauren, I would so value to hear your opinion on Bvlgaria’s Eau De Blanc. It’s been my favorite for years but it’s becoming so hard to find and I’d love to have some similar options that you think would work or compliment that scent as I love many of the perfumes you also jive with.
Also, have you tried JHAG Mmmmmmmm? It’s sooo good. Sunnyside Up is my next perfume purchase.

I have Not a Perfume. I tried Lust for Sun and it was so pretty in the opening but once it dries down it was all gardenia and too sharp!
If you like Lipstick Fever, you NEED to pick up Liquid Illusions. It's a suuuuuper smooth version of Lipstick Fever. You can usually get it off Gilt at a decent price.
Not a Perfume is the only one I have liked so far. It was the first one I tried and I really like it. It has a strong "business woman in a suit ' scent on my skin. It definitely isn't a casual, every day, scent on me. I had high expectations for the others, but sadly they all fell short. They were just kind of meh, not special, I was so sad. Definitely, smell test first as she advised , because if you blind buy on notes alone you might be in for a surprise.
I bought the discovery set and tried them all. They don't last on my skin more than ten minutes if I can even smell them at all. Very bizarre.
My top three from JHAG are Mmmm (wore that one at my wedding), Pear Inc, and Music Invisible. I want to love Sunny Side Up but for whatever reason it just doesn’t last on my skin

I’ve ordered a travel of Lust for Sun. Disappointed to hear you’re not into it and especially that you don’t detect much of that JHAG ambroxan. That’s what I was hoping for, a sparkly musky coconut but maybe I’ll have a different experience than you.
I plan to get a full of Lipstick Fever, maybe next year. I’m crazy about it. I love a lipstick scent and can really smell the raspberry and ambroxan too even though it’s not listed.
Lili Fantasy is coming to me in the mail in a full size. I love tuberose, especially when it’s bubblegum-y like in My Way and Lili Fantasy which actually has a gum note that I think is so fun. I was surprised you don’t detect that musky JHAG DNA in it because I for sure do. It’s so happy to me.
I really wanted to love Sunny Side. The bottle is so cute and the notes are killer. I think my sample was too small, it kind of disappeared on me. I’ll try it again eventually. I also don’t like Pear Inc but only because pear annoys me typically so it’s an obvious nay for me. Overall I love the house though. Great vid! I feel so chilled out when I get to watch your reviews. :)
Btw, lady, you need to get Vanilla Vibes if you like Sunny Side Up. The best dry, salty vanilla, with no coconut, but I swear it has a coconut 'vibe'.

I really want to like JHAG but I’m unfortunately really sensitive to ambroxan so all the ones I’ve tried just smell like alcohol and hospitals to me. Lust for sun has been the first one I’ve tried I did like probably because it’s light on the ambroxan. Weirdly though a lot of my JHAG samples smell good on my husband because the ambroxan doesn’t come out so strong on him.
I got a free sample of not a perfume and oh my goodness…it was the worst thing I’ve ever smelled, I hated it so much 😭 Ive wanted to try sunny side up for years but that just turned me completely off so idk 😂
I have only tried NAP which I really like and I want to try more from the house, especially Pear, Inc and Sunny Side Up. But I have to be honest: I really do not care for the bottles, the house name, the font, just all of the aesthetics. Even the names of some of the fragrances. It’s silly that that’s important but it really influences if I want to test something or get a full bottle.
I am a bit turned off and now a bit suspect I ordered all samples from twisted lily, magnolia bliss, valaya, Creed for her I am hearing rave reviews left and right. Everything I have smells like a bug spray and no returns I am gonna have to put put my nose on them again in person, I have superdose, pear inc, not a perfume those are all so beautiful. As for lust for sun it's best I just keep my new Rio radiance from Sol De Janeiro might be the vibe instead from what I am hearing lol

Though I get a basic idea of what it’s like around that time of the month and now that you said it’s a musk, it makes sense. But I’d love to be able to smell it. I do like gardenia and white florals and still didn’t like the Lust for Sun. It wasn’t gardenia enough for me. 😂 Thank you for this video!

Oh my goodness.... No lie... I have often thought of molecular scents as "Emperors New Clothes" fragrances!! I thought I was the only one. I feel like there are people at several brands giggling behind their hands that everyone is going crazy and paying 💸💸 for wispy, nothing fragrances that are only one note, maybe two. Where is the artistry? If someone composed a song and it had one or two notes, would it be worth listening to? How about a painting with one color? Sorry, I'm such a grump but sheesh! 😂🤷
I just got NAP and love the scent, so I ordered the shower gel and body lotion and they have absolutely NO SCENT to them. So disappointing! And they were so expensive!
I really like the 'Lust for Sun' but I very much enjoy white florals. The marketing is a bit deceptive in my opinion so I can see why you are disappointed with it. Summer perfumes tend to be all about the coconut and I totally agree that you can barely smell it. I didn't even know it had vanilla in it. I think mmmm... was disappointing to me. Lacked the sweetness I was expecting and 'new' smell is an accurate description.

I have many of the more popular scents from JHAG. Magnolia Bliss to me is a fruitier version of D&G light blue intense. Still has the same molecular skin quality but a bit fruity. It's what I wanted L'Imperatrice to be. I completely finished my travel size, and I'm planning to buy the full size. Pear, Inc. and Skin Reserve Radiant Nectar are super similar to my nose, but Skin brand goes rancid quickly to me and so I'd rather have Pear, Inc. Superdose is too loud for work. I feel like it has Oud in it, and I'm not an Oud fan. Vanilla Vibes screams summer. Like a tart, mouthwatering vanilla. Beachy without being coconut. I just get Sunny Side Up delivered today. So far it's creamy, milky sandalwood. Like a less dark version of Versace Crystal Noir. I can't wait to put it on skin!

I lovvvve not a perfume, it does perform on me differently almost every time I wear it, sometimes I smell it, sometimes I barely do, but I’ve definitely noticed that others smell it on me! I also love lipstick Fever, it’s hands down probably my fave 😅 I adore this house. I’ve sampled Moscow Mule and vanilla vibes as well, they were nice! I need to get my nose on sunny side up, I’m LOVING iso e super and all molecular scents rn! 🫶
