I have had loads of shotguns and i just picked up a 694 sporter and it handles incredibly well. Very well balanced, the long forcing cones really smooths out any recoil and patterns well. BIG tick from me. 100% Beretta.

When I lost the adjustable trigger screw recently during a round of clays, I tried two friends guns and was surprised how light the recoil of my 694 was in comparison. Really love the 694

I’m looking to buy my first gun and was lucky enough that my local shooting club had both second hand B725 and the 694 available. In terms of breaking clays not much in it but the 694 just handled/felt so much nicer. Not sure whether it was down to how the guns had been set up but the Browning just felt a bit of a lump!

Picked up a second hand gun as well. Gent moved up to a DT so I got lucky. Left handed and with the adjustable comb, it's fit me better than any gun I've had previous. Runs circles around my older Citori.

I traded my Browning 725 high rib for the Beretta 694 All Clay Special (adj rib & comb). Best decision I've ever made! I wish Beretta made a "fixed rib" version rather than or in addition to the adjustable rib......but I still love it! Dollar for dollar, I don't see any need for a DT-11.

Have shot both the 694 and the browning , both great guns but it was the Beretta for me, I think that maybe David’s body shape might be why he finds the Berettas always to low, but I have never really had an issue and have owned 3 Berettas now. Easily solved anyway as lots of people buying adjustable combs these days .

I shot both Browning and Beretta when taught in Shooting schools. Browning is solid and 725 was my first every try at clay shooting, rather good. But in the end I bought Beretta 694 ACS version 32” this Feb (bought Teague extended ported chokes). Put through a couple of thousands shells so far. Tho not a lot, I like it quite a bit. Cannot say it will beat DT11 as I handled a second hand one @Essex Guns, felt superior and even more balanced. But DT11 even second hand is 50% more money on average than new 694. Started thinking about Kick Eez as a recoil pad upgrade if I keep shooting 350 cartridges in 3hrs. The adjustable rib is nice and can adjust POI. However I did ask GMK gunsmith to apply silicone at the back screw as it came loose at a point. This won’t be an issue if yours is Not a ACS version. Overall, in my opinion, 694 is a winner in the mid market for clay shooters…

I’ve owned Berettas all my shooting career .. nothing against Brownings ( many of my friends shoot them) but I’ve never had an issue with any of my Berettas. I’ve up graded as I’ve gone along and had 682 e/692 and for the last 2 years had a 694 with 32 inch barrels.
In my opinion the 694 is a huge improvement on the 692, feels better balanced and throws excellent patterns. Think the new price of a 694 is about £3500 in the UK.

I have a Browning that fits me perfect. I also have 3 Beretta's that fit me perfect. However 2 of those Beretta 686's (20 and 12) have adjustable combs installed and a years worth of experimenting to get them tuned for Fit. The one Beretta I didn't need to have an adjustable comb installed proved to have a Browning Fit right out of the box. That one is a Silver Pigeon III Sporting 2 barrel set in 28 and 410. I've looked at several Silver Pigeon III's at my club and all of the recent production guns feature a higher comb. It seems that Beretta is learning slowly that their combs are a bit low and are moving towards correcting that. Another example of this is that about 1/2 the 694's in the USA for sale have an adjustable comb installed.

Very popular gun and a big seller. But, the one's that I have handled have had a few issues. In my experience the 694 Is very fussy about which brand of cartridges it likes to eject. Some brands of cartridges will not eject properly or not at all. Also the chambers are quite tight and it's tough to load some brands of cartridges. This causes the Ejectors to skip by the spent hulls and stick the spent cartridge hulls below the Ejectors and above the cartridge rim. I've had this happen several times. It's not pleasant. I've sent the gun back to the distributor and they stated that there is nothing wrong. But the issues persist. This is on a brand new shotgun. Less than 100 cartridges through it. It's back at the distributor again. Hopefully this issue will be fixed soon.

I wasn't so pleased with the wood finish on the stock. Mine 694 has a slight crack in the handle of stock. When I detached the stock from the action I could see the inside finish of the wood stock was terribly poor. ☹️

There is no question if you are a competitive shooter Imo between those two. Brownings are a a gun from the past struggling to follow up the the others. Beretta Perazzi will always be in the podiums around the world

Beretta due to massive sponsor deals and perazzi because of the full custom fit offers/after care, browning/miroku design hasn't been changed because it works, miroku 3800 has just about as many medals under it than any of them, And perazzi design is ancient so not sure what you mean by keeping up with them

694 GMK 31" barrel, scores me 99's in skeet and 70s in Sporting all day long. Wouldn't change it for anything, Titanium Teague chokes and took some weights out to get it spot on balance point. Shoots a dream for me, love the wider comb and with the right spacers in it got it dialed in perfectly.

  • @11woods1
    @11woods1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Good video but it lacks detail, no mention of stock measurements, i.e. length of pull, comb height, wood grade, barrel details, how many chokes and what restrictions come as standard, type of recoil pad, etc.
It would be nice for you to give more of the important information for perspective buyer rather than a basic review and going out smashing clays, that doesn't help anyone who might be looking at buying this particular model...

Your knowledge of shotguns is beyond dispute and I generally respect what you say about them. However, IMHO, I think you include too much video time of you shooting clays. A little is good to observe recoil effects and such, but what real information does the video of you shooting really convey? Technical pros and cons, unique features, opinions on reliability, reported problems, etc. are much more interesting to hear. I know you can crush clays dude!

Just like Japanese cars in the early 70s into the 80s people joked about them, then in the 2000s Kia/hyundai wiped the floor with everything they make, just look at the roads in Europe and the Genesis brand (US) are full of them and majority of the premier branded German vehicles and components are made in Turkey…
The Turkish manufacturers will eventually be at major events and winning tournaments across the world, then you can laugh at yourself…
