This vid made me subscribe cause now I can viably play Dragoon in my Branded Darklords without using DM or Red Eyes and Red Eyes Fusion. Triple tactics is a good card as well and same with DPE. If you could make a vid for Branded Darklords that would be awesome cause I would love to see what your build would be for them.

Just curious. Why no comedy? Helps your fusions dodge pesky veilers/imperms when you chain block around the other hand traps, and is pretty solid against raiza

How effective is “XYZ Import” against outting the main fusions in the Extra Deck? And if it is chained to the Banish effect of MirrorJade, how will that chain link resolve since the Fusion is now attached as a material?
It still resolves and can banish any monster.

Discard by branded opening is an eff not a cost.
Goddess with the Third Eye is a good budget replacement. It does literally the same (it's LIGHT and replaces any material) except the contact fusion effect. And even better, it just go reprinted in the Speed Duel GX box.

@@Ayrcantada that’s because most people are followers. If they see someone run it, that “must” be how its supposed to be played. Unfortunately, a lot of people rely on other peoples opinions on if a card/deck is good. They dont test for themselves.
This seems bad but i really like Mali x2 + Denier with Dangerous in the extra. This makes Fusion Destiny into a starter.
- Send Albaz + Tragedy, get Aluber.
- If you can afford a discard, use dangerous to mill Denier.
- Normal Aluber, then either add the field spell (for DPE pass) or Branded in Red.
On the followup you have Tragedy (in the GY to get another aluber) for Branded in Red, Chimera for 1 draw/2 pops, and 3 bodies in Malicious and Denier (Dangerous will be destroyed by Fusion Destiny so use it as material).
Also instead of Super Poly i run Dharc/Verte/Accesscode to further abuse the extra bodies or wipe everything. With Adventure you can also have Link Spider + Selene for 2 extra pops.
After resolving the initial Branded Fusion/Opening, you are already set up, and neither Theater nor Branded in Red locks you.
Finally about the Fusion Substitute, i really liked the fact that it can be a second Albaz to the point of going Albion from Deck to save me a discard while keeping said Albaz in the GY (that Branded in Red can add to hand). Still instead of going into Dragoon i would almost always prefer Mirrorjade due to the followup potential just as you said.
(Have you tried their "Meltdown", "Kitt" and "Mercourier"? Coming from 3x pure Structure, i want to include them in the mix but the other engines seems more effective unfortunately)
I believe Andres Torres was playing 2 Mali and Denier as his fusion destiny materials in his Despia list which he topped the YCS with (pre-structure deck, by the way!). But he was playing Dystopia instead of Dangerous in the Extra Deck
@@AtlasV- dangerous is for milling Tragedy with Fusion Destiny. Dystopia could have been for time, since it can burn your opponent.

Hi Tom. Do you have an Adventure Despia list? Dimensional barrier kills the more pure version. I am new to the deck but wondered what you might do with Adventure version.

Incredible Ecclesia, the Virtuous allows you to fusion summon using your opponents monsters during their turn. iris swordsoul is another target for ecclesia or can be summoned if you negate any monsters effect. I run an invoked build alongside the despia albaz and dogmatika.

@@hatchet8720 its still pretty optimal cause its mainly used to help turbo out and chain block your chimera. But its also useful to help you get into your masquerade also.
One issue branded has is outside of branded fusion, you really can have a hard time going into any other boss monster on your turn. Thats why the despias are so good.

What would you take out for brave engine?
You could take out the TTTs and an Aluber. Not sure what else, though. You could also run a smaller version of the Brave engine.
TTT, 1 tragedy, 1 aluber, 1 belle, and run 43 cards is what I would probably do if I wanted to run brave. Personally, I prefer the frightfur package. Feels bad clunking the hand with extra brave stuff. At least with the frightfurs, everything furthers your fusion game while netting more cards for either more fusing or discard fodder
Aesthetically dragoon just looks like its made for this deck
With the amount of hand traps you are playing you can add Crossout Designator

the only think i dont really understand is when do you go for dragoon+ masquerade + branded in red or winda + albion lubellion instead of mirrorjade + chimera (first combo) as going first without knowing what the opp plays.

When you summon lubellion with tragedy, why not protecting tragedy search by putting it chain 1? You want to protect lubellion from belle?
Don't care what you say about Frightfur i'll use it since Despia was released and i'm not moving them. Do you think that Forbidden Apocrypha is a nice side deck to Despia or too bad because they float

For the winda combo, can anyone explain how to do it without keios in your deck?
Pretty sure you can make it with the light hex sealed fusion and fallen of albaz going into Albion. Make the hex sealed fusion count as a shaddoll, and fallen of albaz is dark I believe
Hex Sealed has to specifically be a named monster
I tested shaddoll with the deck and I found that I never went into the fusions so I cut them for invoked.
Instead of the light hex sealed, can I use the goddess with the third eye? She has basically the same effect

DPE is insane but not being able to use verte makes it so much worse
Hieratic seal of the heavenly spheres works great in this deck. Allows you to get rid of 2 strong monsters on opponent field. Return one to hand and special albaz and fuse using the other.

@@jangaman7823 believe me I know but some players are budget players, do not have aluber, or some of the other cards. So, I was throwing ideas. Spheres is very easy to make.
God I love this deck...shame that i'm going to have to drop so much money on Aluber. Should have bought them during that low window.
You could wait 3 weeks for the Aluber reprint in Ghosts From The Past 2. A person leaked most of the cards, if not all of them from the set earlier today. Check it out if u havent!

So I have a burning ruling question. If I summon Lubellion while my ONLY copy of mirrorjade is banished, can I shuffle it back into the deck alongside a banished fallen of albaz or light hex sealed in order to resummon the one mirrorjade? If I remember correctly, rulings in rhe past where your opponent could not with a reasonable doubt discern If you have more than one of a card in any place, that you COULD do this sort of thing, because fusion materials go to their destination before the fusion monster hits the field, meaning the materials return to deck and extra deck, and then I summon mirrorjade. Does this work the way I'm thinking? I've been thinking about this at work for like 2 hours 😩
No, play 2 Mirrorjade, you cannot fusion summon a monster if you have no applicable targets in your extra deck at the time of activating the fusion spell / effect.
@@99099 but there's no way to discern that from the opponents point of view, so even if it wasn't a legal play, nobody can prove it aside from a judge and even then they give game state unknown information to the opponent. Which is why I don't get it.

@@nathansparks9814 Yea, sorry if I came off a bit... you know. I made the joke about infernity cuz players used to set monsters as spell and traps so they could resolve launcher. Led to the good old mst otk where they surrender if you hit the set monster with backrow removal. I actually just got a collector rare pax, so we're actually building the same deck lol.

A few things I would change in the list
I would cut Despian Proskenion for a 2nd Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon since the card really isn't needed
I would also cut Titaniklad for a Despian Quaritis
You are going too heavy on the Despia side of things as 2 Tradedy would be perfectly fine and same for Aluber
Finally I would side the super poly in the side deck for things like Foolish burial and other normal staples
Over all the Adventurer Despia Branded version of the deck is better than a pure version but that is my opinion
3 aluber is mandatory for pure build like in this video. The reason OCG list use 2 aluber because it mixed with the brave engine, which conflicts with normal summoning aluber

Why can’t u use light hex to replace Albaz with branded fusion
Hex (as with 99.999% of all cards) don't have effects while in the deck, so you can only use it for its attribute. Once it hits the grave, it's effect to substitute for something becomes live
That's something a lot of players miss when we look at the Albion Dragoon combo. King of the Swamp, Goddess with the Third Eye, and the light hex sealed all don't get their effects when in deck. They only get their effects when they're in the hand, on field, or in the grave. I was one of the players that missed this key ruling in the beginning.

@@TrollingJar yes but you'd have to open the hex fusion to sub for dark magician to get the spellcaster on field and that's a 1 of in a 40 card deck none of the branded/despia fusions are spellcasters only spellcaster in the whole deck is dragoons or if you play brave engine water enchantress
Evenly matched if you run it in the side. They lose the field spell, or the spellcaster. You can also normal summon effect veiler in this particular build
@@grandmasterSamurai20 Sorry, it was a throwaway answer on my part. The Albaz is an answer in the main in this particular deck list. If floodgates are a major concern, then you need to prep your sideboard accordingly.

Not this build, u can easily mod it to include it. Remove triple tac, 1 tragedy, 1 dramaturge and super poly.

Personally I'd go for Albion, then banish for Lubellion, shuffle back for Dragoon, then use Theater for the Masquerade.
Lubellion is a -1, so in that line of play you'd be unable to fuse into masquerade unless you drew a God hand of branded fusion, patchwork, and 2 monsters with usable search effects plus a spare pitch card. It's just not likely. I've been testing for days on end now and every time I go Albion into Lubellion I miss something major.
@@nathansparks9814 What are you talking about? Aluber plus Branded Fusion or Thearter and a discard is full combo.
Summon Aluber and use it's effect to add branded fusion or Thearter(the one you didn't have obviously), use branded fusion sending Albaz and Goddess with the Third Eye from deck to summon Albion, use Albions effect to summon Lubellion, use Lubellions effect discard and shuffle back for Dragoon, then use Theater to summon masquerade by sending Aluber and Lubellion.
@@MattSinz while that IA full combo, and you're right, a lot of the times you end up needing to search branded fusion somehow, not just start with it. Which changes your whole line of play. You're not wrong at all, but in practice you will never open branded fusion + theatre and even if you did, you also need to have the monsters to fuse for the masquerade, which isn't super likely with how spell heavy the deck can be. You're not wrong at all, but normally it's not that simple or easy, and as soon as you get hit with one negate, it either ends your turn or you play through it at the detriment of a much weaker board. I speak from experience, 7 outta 10 times, it's much more efficient to go Albion into mirrorjade or dragoon directly, and skip the lubellion step.

-Yep Handtraps are a good thing for Yu-Gi-Oh.
Also I'd cut one Mascarade and replace it with a Quaeritis and add a Branded Disciple in, Quaeritis lowering the ATK of Monster under lvl 8 and Disciple negating the resolve of monster effect with 0 ATK or DEF.
Umm 🤔 we are in a double handtrap format... Old ratio use to be 9 per 40 but now we are maining 12 to 18... Depending on deck size .
It's a hand trap format because you need to build to always have two in your opening five because Brave can eat the first. Just last year we had a couple of formats where you could get away with 6-8 hand traps since Tri-Brigade of all decks was the dominant force in the meta. Before Brave I played nine. You know that Brave is warping deck building when Ghost Ogre shot from extremely niche to meta staple overnight.

Bruh we need a budget deck. Aulber is 160 a copy. Dragoon is 160. And guardian is 60 bucks. Way too expensive. Please do a more budget friendly deck.
Trust me the reprint of aluber is coming, it's like been announced already in gftp2
Play a smaller Despia engine (Tragedy, Ad Libitum, Branded in Red), play more Kitts, add some Keeper of Dragon Magic as scuffed Aluber, play Branded Lost, and play Predaplant Dragostapellia instead of Guardian Chimera for a quick negate off the Red/Ad Libitum play. Maybe play Shaddoll Beast/Winda. You won't be winning any regionals or a YCS with slightly upgraded structures but for locals you can easily play a budget list to tide you over until Aluber gets reprinted in GFTP.
I like the idea of playing The ultimate wizard in terms of attack and defense. Might be worth it to play the brick 🧱 so you can get the burn 🔥

@MST.TV can you clarify rulings on lubellion and Albion? I have seen countless videos where people are trying to pop lubellion or Albion after they trigger their effect thinking it will stop the fusion summon all together. Because it already activated they do not need to stay on the field to resolve properly correct?
No if they get destroyed, their effects are not negated
