- Before we begin, sorry about the bad audio at the Archeological site, the cicadas were louder than everything else!
First stop of our greek cruise on Celebrity Beyond was on day 3 at the Port of Katakolo, about 35min to the Archeological Site of Olympia, where the ancient Olympic games began! A place full of history…
Enjoy the ride on the bus with us where the tour guide gave excellent information about all the history, and walk along at the ruins and temples of Olympia!

What a treat to literally feel shoulder to shoulder with you on the tour. I loved hearing the tour guide and how well you filmed everything. Did they say where the Olympic flame started and where it's stored now? Thanks for watching Suzy! Yeah, I tried to keep the tour guide explanations as much as I could even though the loud cicadas didn’t help the sound! LOL The Olympic flame is something from the Modern Olympic games, not from the Ancient Olympics in which Olympia is about… It doesn’t stay lit, they light up the torch months before every Olympic game!
