I love this song so much. It is one of my favorites in her discography. Especially those versions on the piano. It was also the last song in Berlin... everybody was in tears. And is I write this, I am in tears again. Today is my birthday... i am turning 57... what a beautiful start in my day 🦷🦷🦷🦷🦷
Aurora has just performed this song live. "Aurora Invisible Wounds Live NRK TV". I believe this was for childhood cancer research. It does not have her amazing banter, but it is professionally recorded, and has great audio.
It's much better when she focus on the music/singing and not so much playing around with other things. But of course, "the other things" are entertaining and funny. The performance you mention is absolutely fantastic! With a full orchestra and a lot of children in the audience. th-cam.com/video/xqQsO6u_MiA/w-d-xo.html
@@staffankarlsson1428 Yes. I had the honor of working with a radio station here in Australia while Aurora visited and performed. Its no act she puts on for the crowd. In the couple of hours she was at the studio, she had the entire crew laughing non stop. It got real quiet when she started singing though.
@@ledoutofshadow8004 Was it at TripleJ? If yes, that is amazing, I'm jealous. Was it 2017 for Teardrop and Warrior or 2019 for Across the Universe and The Seed?
I knew I was in trouble when I saw the tissue in the thumbnail. I love how the crowd goes silent as she starts explaining the meaning of the song. Such beautiful, haunting lyrics and with Aurora’s delicate, fragile, & emotional delivery this song hits hard. It hits me harder now because I can relate so viscerally to it. But a good friend once told me that it’s ok to fall apart sometimes. Someone once said, “No one gets through this life unscarred.” We should all remember that we all have invisible wounds & some are deeper & fresher than others. So please try to be be kind to one another, because you never know what people are going through. Thanks Ash ❤️
That song cuts so close to the bone I have no idea how she can perform it, To revisit the obvious heartache this song was born from reveals her strength and bravery.
Some suggestions for your next poll: - The Dark Dresses Lightly live at Roskilde - Jacob Collier and Aurora collab video for Greenpeace - Aurora tribute to Mari Boine (posted by Jon-Kare Hansen)- this one’s a fancam but she sings a joik which is a type of traditional folk song so it’s cool to hear
@ashlenamusic The crowd went completely silent as soon they realized which song will come. I‘ve never experienced something like that before… i hope for you that you‘ll see it live someday🫶🫶
For me, one of the most emotional version of this song is the recorded one. She talks about her sister Viktoria, one of the most beautiful people I have ever seen.
I'm so grateful to Aurora fans for listening so silently to the song as to not ruin the mood. I really hope it's the same at the show I go to. I'm really curious to see what the set list is like!
Everyone loves Aurora's banter on the stage. LOL It's what makes her concerts unique and funny. Suggestions: "Aurora tribute to Mari Boine. Golle Máze." She's singing to one of her biggest influencers Mari Boine - a Sami Artist from Norway - who is in the audience. The Sami people is the indigenous people in Norway. Their music is mostly without words, just purely emotions, feelings and mimicking sounds of nature and wildlife. It's one of the earliest vocal traditions in Norway. It's called "Joik". There are some lyrics in the song and Aurora is singing with the Sami language. After you heard the Joik you will understand why Aurora sing the way she does sometimes. She is very influenced by it. "Jacob Collier & AURORA - A Rock Somewhere X The Seed (Greenpeace)" For a petition to stop deep sea mining. "Aurora w/ KORK - Invisible Wounds, Live @ NRK TV-Akjsonen, 20.10.24, Oslo", Norway. She is singing for children with cancer. (and their parents and siblings). Have a beautiful day, Ashlena. 😘❤

I wept too. It is one of the reasons I come back to AURORA so often. I would like to second the suggestion of the ‘Aurora tribute to Mari Boine’ yolk it shows the traditional roots of some of her signature vocal ornamentations.
She did this one at the end of her Manchester Concert. Quite different in so many ways. The audience was spell bound, quiet except for the sound of falling tears (I'm sure not just me). Nice to hear the origin of the song, her talks are always memorable.
@ I’m so glad I found your channel! So glad to see your videos and feel the joy of being “around” someone who appreciates her so much! I wish you would have seen her in concert live since she started. I’ve seen her since 2016 and every time it’s been a magical experience. Hope to continue to listen to her until there is no more…
Hi Ashlena, 👋 great you have finished this latest poll, there is a video you simply must react to.... the pairing of 2 incredible unique artists performing at a totally unique location ,actually freezing their asses off ! ...Jacob Collier with Aurora | A ROCK SOMEWHERE X THE SEED .You will love it...😊❤
I cried too, it is such an emotional song and painfully beautiful. She ended the Manchester Concert in the same way, just her and keys for most of the song. The audience was also pin drop silent for the performance. Maybe European audiences are more respectful? Not the only song that brought tears. I think you will treasure her "talks" between songs when you see her in a few weeks.
good aurora tuesday morning. i really prefer this stripped down versions. there is an orchestra version, which appeared recently, it has another vibe, for a beneficial concert. but i still prefer the stripped down versions. thanks for your reaction. i would like to see an older song in the next poll, "all my daemons" - the title song which didn't make it onto the album.
Hey there! Wonderful Aurora Tuesdays. This time with one of my favorite songs from her i love it so much me to. Typical of her to be completely unfiltered in the pre-conversation. At least she doesn't disappoint me. And when it comes to feelings, you and I are on the same level as usual. Thought of coming up with an Aurora suggestion. Mola Chill Fridays - AURORA - Live From Bergen (2021-06-25). Recorded just a few days after she turned 25 in Bergen Norway. for her fans in Indonesia. It's live but no audience. In terms of quality, this is something spectacular and I love when she sings with only Magnus (drums and percussion) and Fredrik (Guitar). It's totally crazy that it only has under 1400 views. Her voice is magical in all the songs and it's hard to say which one is the best and there are some of her adorable chats between songs. Infections of a different kind also has the entire original text, which she rarely sings. They are well known songs but they are well worth hearing over, over and over again. I hope you can catch the whole "concert" it's 52 minutes short. but my favorite is "Exist for love" 18.17 - 24.08 There are moments in that song that are probably the most beautiful I've heard and yes she also offers a little mini slip-up. Hope you see this and once again thank you so much for doing this with Aurora Tuesdays. A hug from Sweden
I always cry at this song. For my own reasons. And THEN Aurora starts crying! I'm telling you. Babies where made later that evening. I believe this is about her older sister Viktoria. A naked and beautiful piece of art about how difficult it is to be human.
I'm not entirely sure, but I find it more plausible that this is about Miranda. Aurora mentions discovering the invisible wounds of a sister while she was struggling herself. Viktoria has openly discussed her bipolar diagnosis for years, whereas Miranda has always seemed like the oldest and the more emotionally stable one.
That is such a great video! Love it from start to finish. The only way it could be better would be if it was professionally recorded, but I don't even mind. The fan cam makes it feel even more intimate and personal.
