I live in Sweden and the way babs is saying is making it look easy it not easy with student visa you need 30 credit score first and then now the new government has propose you need to make 27360 kr before you can get work permit and they propose again from June 2025 you need to earn 35200 kr
Before you can get work permit and with the passport thing you don’t just send your passport you apply asylum first and after you prove your identity which is important by your passport before on your LMA card which is asylum card you get a certain number on it to find work which now the current government has also almost cancel it
In all Sweden is one of the great country in Europe but with documentation it is really hard you can’t get permit within Sweden when you are illegal even if you have a child you need to go to your country to apply before so my advice is when you are new in Europe you should go else where first after you get your documents then you can come even if you marry a citizen who is Swedish you need to exist to your home country and apply

You don't need to travel to Nigeria for a Swedish visa. You must apply it at the Royal Danish embassy.
They don’t have a Swedish embassy in Ghana if it normal visa you can apply from any Schengen embassy but if it residency you need to go to Abuja
I worked at VFS and what you’re saying is not true. For a long stay visa or resident permit you must go to Abuja. But for any short stay Swedish visa any Schengen visa is enough.

Exactly that is how it done mostly Swedish residents permit are done online if it marriage or spouse visa which called sambo visa then you need to go to Abuja or Burkina Faso most Ghanaian prefer Abuja and after dhl will deliver your card to you in Ghana at your home very simple
