It is so awesome to hear a drummer a talented as you are (any musician really) speak about worship like this. It's so awesome. I tell everyone that approaches me after service, thank you but honestly, I just worship, I give God everything i possibly can so that I can say I gave him worship that cost me everything. The holy Spirit takes care of the rest. All glory to Him.
Ey man! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It's a blessing to learn from a master like you, not just as musician, but as a worshiper. It's very important for we the God’s musicians to learn how to grow up from the inside to the outside. The talent is important, but your relationship with God is the main point. God bless you bro. Greetings from Colombia 🇨🇴 You rock!! 👏🏻🙏🏻
Yes everyone in the band has in ear monitors. The singers and Israel usually go on floor monitors or in ears. It’s impactful sometimes to hear the room singing along if you use floor monitors. But for drummers it’s crucial that we hear click tracks. I also like the direct sound of my mic’d drums better through in ears
Sometimes I take my ears out when the audience is singing along and the is not click. Oh last thing. Sometimes the MD is calling chord changes and hits… so it’s good to be on in ears too. Lol
@@carlinmuccular Since my guitar isn't plugged in, let me figure it out on my acoustic bass......it's an extended 3 note progression he always does that was sort of added into the first song here.... it's something like a modulated downward progression of e, b, f 😂 Hard to explain.... Better yet, let me find a video.... Actually, check out Josh Crawford's cover of "He has made me glad" ( featuring Kim Burrell ) and they do it around 4:45. I don't know why I can't remember which old Tye & G.A. songs had it, but it's a signature sound he has on multiple recordings, and when I hear it, it reminds me of Tye. It could be just a "coincidence" here rather than a nod, but it caught my ear 🤷♂️
Well not really. 🙏🏽 I’ve been with Israel for 7 years now. I’ve just about played anything he might call. Sometimes we just don’t know what song in the catalog he might call next lol.

Which rudiment were you using could you do a breakdown?
Killer drumming Carlin! Does everyone have an earpiece and hear a click? Or is it just you?
