Who is here after they messed up a game
Me lol I had a draw with timeout
50 move rule
Me had it in the bag and boom stalemate
watched it during the game
😅
We are going to use the boxing method.
Step 1. Punch your opponent in the face
That also works.
Chess boxing in a nutshell
@@smartypantschess 😂
Nice explanation.. the most efficient I’ve seen
Instructions unclear to my brain, I came to where if I move my rook now, it's a stalemate
I'm not sure that's even possible... You should be able to move the rook way out of the way..?
I literally lost so many games just bcoz I don't know how to do mate using root and king
So in these games, was it just you having king and rook and your opponent having a king? Because in that case, it seems strange that you lost. The only realistic way for you to lose would be for you to resign, and I don't know why you would do that.
@@isavenewspapers8890😂🤣😂
I use a diffrent method but this is nice
yeh me too tye one u use is a lot simpler
So basically I use a similar way, but I basically do it like this, yk how to checkmate with rook an king right? Like not at the corner, force the king to face your king and then mate with rook, so basically I keep doing that when the king is in the middle of the board, by doing this, the only free square for the king to move to is back, so that's how I force it to the last rank/file, and then I repeat the process one last time, it takes me around 10 seconds to do the whole thing
Sounds like the opposition method?
@@smartypantschess yes yes
I just draw a game because my opponent didn't know how to checkmate me with his rook and king. He rant out of time
Don't get a stale mate
What if the King moves backward?
Make the box smaller if it doesn't hang your rook.
See the thing is wht if the guys just starts repeating moves, ur explanation is good but if he repeats his moves this is useless
No its not, if he repeats moves then the checkmate just comes faster
Thanks although I know how to do this I used this strategy to finally get to 300 elo today my last game I had to use it 292-299
Me watching this after I failed to checkmate with the rook
Stalemate alert.
Why do you say that?
I ended up with draw😅😅
Instructions unclear, I got mated
I hope that's a joke.
@@andrewhughes7642I would find it phenomenally strange if it weren't.
@@andrewhughes7642maybe he/she actually got mated 😅😅😅. in his/her backrank.
skill erroe
The red lines actually help so much and he explains everything so well❤
Thank you so much!
had to search this during a actual match, it worked hahaha
Please don't receive outside assistance while you are playing a game. It's cheating.
I came after i got drawed by 50 kove rule lol
@@isavenewspapers8890 who gives a shit, its not like we are playing a tournament or something
@@Cubgo_ Are you serious? Do you think people go online and start a game of chess just to test their ability at running through a list of instructions from an outside source? Are you not concerned about how disrespectful that is?
I don't care how informal the situation is; you shouldn't rely on anything other than your own mind. That is the spirit of the game.
I don't mean to dunk on the original commenter. I'm inclined to believe that they weren't thinking too hard about their actions, and I only hope that they learned from their mistake.
Love how you slowly went over the one step over and over and then CLICK CLICK CLICK checkmate at the end lmao.
Lemme explained in a much simpler way: step number 1 create a box with the rook, once the king attacks the rook you protect it with your king while still maintains eye to eye contact with the king and just keep cutting the box until it’s checkmate.
I despise this method, I just feel like it doesn't work for me. I can do it the same, it just takes a few moves longer.
This is if your opponent is 100 elo
No..even frandmasters cant avoid checkmate here due to insyfficient material
I lost because I didn't know this 😢
This is the best method..
Draw by repetition
Noo
What if they don't step away and just keep going back and forth?
Box them
It’s forced
No it is not
@@amirsharh876 it is.
If they're in the box and they step toward the rook you play a waiting move with the king, and the next move they have to move step away. There is only 1 square they can attack the rook from. If they go anywhere else you make the box smaller.
Rd5 wasted time. Kc5 would’ve stopped the king from moving forward. Does it matter tho? No, checkmate regardless 😅
Got draw for insufficient material😅 didn't know how to checkmate with the rook so we look like headless chicken fighting for the time
Me who has left 1 minute in game and left with king and rook but Idk how to checkmate with them so I came here to see during the game
I just used this tactic and won after learning it about 2 weeks ago, you are so awesome!
Hey can you tell me how I can win if like in the video when white king was on c5 and rook was on b6...in this situation if the black king is on a8 instead of a7
In this situation, Black's only legal move is 1... Ka7. After that, 2. Kc6 Ka8 3. Kc7 Ka7. Now, you play a waiting move: 3. Rc6. This forces Black to play 3... Ka8, and now 4. Ra6# is mate.
if youre playing agaisnt someone with 100 elo
No, it's forced.
this video is edited at the end so white gets an extra move if you can notice it but whatever. there is a better way to checkmate with a rook and king that is way easier than this
It's just sped up white isn't given an extra move.
Would you mind sharing the method that you are thinking about? I can only think of one, which is to force the opposing king to the edge of the board by taking away squares with your king and checking it with your rook, but that doesn't seem to be way easier.
The Knights opposition works better for me but I'll keep this in mind
Doesn't the Knight opposition work only when it's queen and king v king? I mean, in rook checkmates the king can move diagonally next to the rook so...
Do make sure to correct me if I'm wrong
@@mdaayanahsankhan9600 Yeah it takes longer but you have to get to a corner
isn't that a draw?
no
Pls 2 bishops checkmate
Nice idea will do that when I get time :)
@@smartypantschess tysm
I always draw with my friend in a 2 bishops checkmate :(
