  • All types of RC flying including Giant Scale planes utilizing 2 pilots for control, other planes such as the Blue Angles service plane a 4 engine C130 with 20 ft wingspan a very unusual size at the time. Early Electric power explained by one of the early developers of electric power for models. Helicopter flying as well as early precision aerobatics with notables such as Dave Brown. Beautiful scale modeling as well as other types of modeling.

    The AMA films that were made in 70s and 80s did a great job of promoting the hobby/sport and also provide a great insight to the history and evolution and reminds me why as a teenager I fell in love with model flying that exists still today

    I love these videos except the part where they try to give everything titles such as the title of this video. Nobody involved in the hobby uses any of these characterizations. I saw one on control line the other day and the narrator gave every type of CL plane a unique name as if it was commonly used even though nobody has ever used any of those names other than the narrator.

    • @phapnui
      @phapnui 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      But how many made their model from planks of balsa, not preformed kits? And how many got drunk on dope when covering the plane?

    • @phapnui
      @phapnui 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@peterzingler6221 Matter of personal preference and how much time you have to devote to a hobby. I know some build planes from scratch, using engineering drawings, to draw scale models, rather than buy kits with precut balsa and ready made plans. "real days" is an expression of failed logic and hubris. Who's to judge what manner of RC hobby takes? It's all good, something for many and far from exclusive.

  • @DEeMONsworld

    I made R/C videos back in the day, and they are just as cringe worthy to watch now as this is. Dated to be sure, and whoever wrote it was given to extreme hyperbole. Designed I'm sure to lure into the hobby people who had never seen R/C, perhaps at high school assemblies and boyscout meetings.
