Plus, from what they've shown, it looks like the character creation supports more than just asian characters. It's just that that's what they're mostly showing, because korea is a mostly monogene country, and they're advertising to Korea first and foremost.

In Sims 5 free to play you can create a sim. To be able to meet the character's needs and get a job, you need to purchase the appropriate DLC
