You must be a very patient and obliging man. Third time lucky. We all love John and now we also love you for going through this three times. Went from good to great to fantastic. ❤❤❤ He truly did potray the agony of the decision. John certainly knew how to show all the emotions of that decision.
I remember not clapping or cheering when I saw this concert live in Melbourne - it was shock, awe, surprise before I started to applaud. Others had of course. It was absolutely brilliant.
Thankyou so much for doing this reaction, I (we Aussies) really appreciate you wanting to discover our National treasure ❤️❤️❤️ You said that you were listening to the words and that's the thing about John too, you can hear and understand every word he ever sings. Thanks again. ❤
I can’t believe you did it a third time. Happy you did and I can keep hearing that. I was so annoyed that I was in the desert working with my husband when this stage show was on. I do not think anyone could have played that part better. Thank you for your words, your kindness and your patience.
Thank you so much for your persistence John is always so good performing live to an audience he really gives his all. John is also such a brilliant interpreter of songs which is why he is so powerful ❤❤❤
Great to see you back up there reacting again. Hope you are feeling much better 😊 ❤ Thank you for choosing John for your bonus video - I certainly wasn't expecting you to do a third video on this song, but glad you did. You are right, it is the best of the best of John's performances 😊❤ He is so so good at expressing emotion and I think he really captures this moment in the garden to perfection 👍 Thank you mate. I hope you do more of John. I am sure someone would have already suggested it, but try him and his backing vocalists singing Amazing Grace if you would like to hear more. Take care 😊 🙏
Thanks for the reaction. This was the best version because John was on stage during a performance. He always gave 100%+++ on stage, which is why John live is so much better than official videos.
You're a legend!! I would never have thought you would do a 3rd JF Gethsemane. That's what I call perseverance! I was hoping you would watch it for your own enjoyment, but it was lovely being able to share it with you. Best wishes from your mates in Oz.
Third times the 'charm' lol Love you for doing this performance my friend ♥Yes this is often referred to as The Agony In The Garden. where Jesus 'the man' felt all fears a man would feel when faced with his death and is struggling to understand why he should die.... John's performance brought so much emotion to this role. At the end after he sang "take me now" the audience was so still and silent it was eerie... I love your analysis and reaction sir....Great channel...love from Australia
Thank you, yes, it is the best of the 3, so glad you came back and reacted to this one, here is a couple more you might like - Amazing Grace - th-cam.com/video/6danLkCJoFI/w-d-xo.html - in an interview, Venetta Field (back up vocalist) said that when John first ask her to join him on his tour, she was a little bit hesitant - he said she could pick any song she wanted and sing it on stage, she choose Amazing Grace. ... and a 2nd one for John - 'You'll Never Walk Alone' th-cam.com/video/dWTEesb7FrY/w-d-xo.html - i hope you get a chance to listen to both these great songs - reaction or no, thank you again.
I'm a total Atheist and not really a John fan, but he was and hopefully still is brilliant.....they do say he is singing again around the house. The live version of Everything's Alright with the full cast, from Hey Hey It's Saturday ( a tv variety show ) is just as good. Do the longer one from U Tube, it has a vocal impromptu gift at the end. Billed as by Kate Ceberano, Jon Stephens and John Farnham..
"That was great". The music was great, John was great. John was great. He's alway great, no matter what genre he' sings. I've been following him for about 2 years and am a fully committed fan - I watch Farnsey videos many times daily - he's my happy place. Hi to @AussieDebb and @Dr._KAP.. Aug'24. UK. E ❤
Yeah it's why Aussie's say for him Must be live because he's able to convey the emotions Which you loose on recording Just food for thought sir Their are people that do this everyday You guys military you put yourself in harms way For us even though your running to possibly your end Same with first responders always running to the danger For us your guys may not be getting nailed to a cross ➕ But doing exactly the same thing for humanity with the same possible outcome I'm not a religious person but these individual's are very much the essence of these lyrics Again thank you to all of you for what you do for humanity Cheers mate our brother in arms 🦘 🇦🇺 🇺🇸 👍
YES !!! For a full understanding of Jesus Christ's journey, Alice Bailey's, book of 284 pages, 'From Bethlehem To Calvary' - The Initiations of Jesus, is an insightful and elucidating read. It takes us through his (and potentially, our) spiritual journey and what each stage of it really means. A poem by H. Le Gallienne, of seven verses, also named, 'From Bethlehem To Calvary,' is included in the forward of Alice Bailey's book and the last two verses are -- When at Gethsemane, I prayed alone That a more bitter cup might be withdrawn, Ye could not watch with me one little hour Until the Dawn ! So many sought my crib at Bethlehem Heeding a voice and following a star, But only Simon walked to Calvary -- It was too far. In Light, Love and Goodwill.
This is the first time I have heard of John Farnham. He is an amazing singer with a great voice and incredible control over his voice. I will have to listen him do some other songs. Quite frankly I much prefer the original version th-cam.com/video/cLEPj1XS3v4/w-d-xo.html . It is my favourite, followed bt the Ted Neely version from the movie. I think one of the reasons I prefer those versions is because for the original, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice were there. They had just composed the songs. They knew how they wanted the songs to sound and how they wanted them to play into each other. They knew how they wanted the story told. This version does not hit me, or have the effect on me that the other versions have.. Because of this, the journey, from doubt to acceptance, seems less believable in Farrnham's version. I will add a caveate. If I had watched and listened to Farnham, in the role of Jesus, from the begining of the play, then by the time he got to this song, I may well have been emotionally invested in him, in this role. My opinion then, could be totally different. I am an old fellow. When the Broadway version of this muical came out in a double album set in 1970, I puchased it. I listened to it over and over. I loved all of the Jesus songs as well as the Judas ones. My favourite though are the Jesus/Pilate exchanges. This may be another reason I prefer the originals. Personal bias :).
Listen to/watch any John Farnham video, YT has lots - you will never never be disappointed. Which genre? Absolutely any. No problem at all. Watch documentaries about him and interviews and you will discover what a lovely, kind, caring humble person he is. He has great stage presence, loves his fans - a Farnsey concert is one big immersive party. He has a great band, all with their own specialities and personal musical pedigrees and achievements, and his backing singers - just brilliant. Enjoy it all. Aug'24. UK. E ❤
I will say that this individual has an amazing voice. My reaction is the singer has he an amazing voice. However, I find the lyrics and the singers message of Christ’s reluctance to be crucified to be not true and unbiblical. When Christ said in the Garden of Gethsemane, “ let this cup pass from me”, he was not having second thoughts. Christ’s love for us is so great that he in no way had second thoughts. The word “pass” is this context is for the event (crucifixion) to eventuate or pass through (happen). Christ never wavered in his willingness to endure a horrible death, that we deserve. His love for us and the undoing of the original sins by Adam and Eve was the main reason for him coming down from Heaven in the form of a man.
You must be a very patient and obliging man. Third time lucky. We all love John and now we also love you for going through this three times.

Thank you so much for playing this version. I have watched it so many times and it still gives me goosebumps . 🫶🇦🇺✌️

Yes - Kate Ceberano, another great Aussie talent, and followed by their warm up song - Amazing Grace...
Love that performance.
I don’t believe in God but I do love John singing this song.
"That was great". The music was great, John was great. John was great. He's alway great, no matter what genre he' sings. Any version is the right version when it comes to John as no 2 performances are the same. Keep up the great reactions mate.
Yeah it's why Aussie's say for him
Must be live because he's able to convey the emotions
Which you loose on recording
Just food for thought sir
Their are people that do this everyday
You guys military you put yourself in harms way
For us even though your running to possibly your end
Same with first responders always running to the danger
For us your guys may not be getting nailed to a cross ➕
But doing exactly the same thing for humanity with the same possible outcome
I'm not a religious person but these individual's are very much the essence of these lyrics
Again thank you to all of you for what you do for humanity

You don't want to let your subs take over your channel... just sayin...
Dan Vasc’s performance is much better. It’s the best ever!
Seriously though, if you don't like something, then just FUCK OFF AND LISTEN TO SOMETHING ELSE. Nobody gives a flying fuck about your opinion.
You are so gracious with us Aussie pests!!
