You don’t understand. He is saying you can’t have a transition season and not at least try to win. Now he is saying transition is useless unless u get UCL. Not the same thing at all. It is obviously a transition when you have many new young players; transition season implies you give up competition which Juventus will never do. Del Piero means there is no point in transitioning to a new philosophy and new players to not play in UCL
