  • Thank you for watching! I’m hoping to shed some inspiration through my work here fabricating prosthetic and orthotic devices. It is an incredibly rewarding profession that lets us flex our creativity and craftsmanship, helping those people who inspire us all.
This prosthesis is made with waterproof components and equipped with an air tight lock system which keeps the patient suspended inside the socket. It is ready for the patient to take in the shower or to spend some quality time at the beach.
    The process:
    - Install lock on cast
    - first lamination
    - rough up socket for bonding
    - install button channel
    - bond the socket to composite block and foam up
    - shape and seal the foam
    - laminate outer socket with graphic t-shirt
    - cut out socket from cast
    - finish trimlines
    - assemble components to the socket
    Thanks again for watching and…

Some advice here. When stringing that lamination, you need safety glasses more than a respirator, Its not going off just yet. But I've see a PVA bag bust and my buddy got a face and eyes full of resin that was soon to go off. I helped him to the sink to get cleaned up before he had eyes full of slivers of hardened resin. The next day his eyes were a little red. He said he had been picking out little bits of hard resin out of his eyes all night. Wear safety glasses.
