Great video! I just bought a 2017 418 and am starting out by doing a 1000 hour service so this is perfect! Thank you for sharing.

You’ll love it. I just did a complete service on mine too.

According to the mechanic I bought my E10 off of the boom cylinder should be retracted too. On my E10, if the boom cylinder is not retracted, the gauge shows quarter full; when it’s retracted, it shows 3/4. If I went by the first reading and added fluid, I run the risk of having it shoot out the filter and having a mess to deal with. I trust the mechanic more than the manual. The manual misses a lot… like the grease zero under the house. 😉

Thank you for sharing your informative video on greasing the bobcat e10 . How about a video on how to manage the tracks in case they come off.Interested in watching how that is done.

I am going to pick up a 418 I just bought today. Does the manual cover greasing the track extension metal tubes?

Hi my friend hope you’re doing well with the Volvo excavator . I have one question for you on a grease point for the E 10 . It’s located on the side of the excavator there’s a little white box showing the position on how to aim the grease gun. Would you know what that grease fittings for . It doesn’t show it in the manual

I don’t see that on mine. Is it on the stick, boom, house or carriage? Right or left side? Are you referring to the track tightening zerk hidden under the removable cover? I’m curious now! 🤔

It’s on the house I actually saw white box on your machine left side facing front By E10 decal

Good video. Is there one more grease zerk, at the end of the boom swing cylinder, inside the machine? Or is that one of the two "longer service", 50 hr zerks grouped together?

There is only the one on the front of the cylinder rod where it articulates with the boom yoke. The back end of that cylinder is buried deep in the house. I don’t think it even pivots much if at all. Hope that helps and thanks for your comment.

Also I know on some excavators one of the two 50 hr zerks is for that boom cylinder. Maybe here too but I have no evidence of that

Hi my friend I haven’t heard from you do you think you can help me out on that mysterious grease fitting

@@tonydigristina5631 I can’t believe I never noticed or greased that!!! I looked under the house and see it’s to grease the pivot pin of the boom swing cylinder. I guess after 500 hours it’s probably ready for some grease 😩
