Links 2 3 4 is said typically in Germany as a chant for the military walk. The text is, if I remember correctly, about the people putting Rammstein into the right wing corner due to the pronounciation they use in their songs and their clothing style etc. Thats why in the chorus of the song its "they want my heart to be in the right place (on the right side) but when I look down its beating on my left chests side"
Rammstein wanted to make a point with this song. Many people even Media said they are Nazis. They actually Hate Nazis and with this song they wanted to say. "Hey, our heart is on the left side not Right site."
The song is from 2001. It was only uploaded much later. I always interpreted the video as follows: the ants want to have a peaceful life. They work hard; listening to music and partying hard in their free time. This peaceful life is disturbed by the big (dung?) beetles. Even though the ants are much smaller than the beetles, they manage to defeat the brown dung beetles. Brown had been the color of the Nazi party. Thus, if all people who desire a peaceful and tolerant life would stand against the warmongers and blind hatred, the world would be a better place. Usually those that stir hate and fear are the loudest (biggest) “bugs”. The song was a response to accusations that Rammstein is Neo-Nazi or right-wing extremists, which they are not. “They want my heart on the right (side) but it beats left”.
Hi. The official videos are really cool, but you should always check the live versions. Rammstein (Rum-sh-tine) is one of the best live bands, ever. Greetings from Germany.
