What I would love would be that there is no secret to the control ability of the Etherial cast.
Their society actually, truly believe and trust them that much.
It's just that the Imperium cannot acknowledged, even to themselves, that leaders can inspire devotion when their charisma is matched by their efficiency, and that only Gods, such as the Emperor or his Sons can have that effect. Therefore it must be magic, or manipulation.
Surely no one actually believe in that stuff.
It's impossible.
for real. I wish they kept them starkly optimistic instead of being affected by all the grimdark stuff
@@reneoliver4080 Completely!
Personally I'm done trying to grimdark them. They are not perfect, but they are not evil. Just different, and willing to adapt. A collectivist society thag is put under strain because of the horrors of space, but not only manage to find peace and prosperity within the good will of the xenos who join them, but also to be a beacon or survival and hope in the darkness of an uncaring universe.
What if they're the Tau equivalent of a primarch?
@@EmonWBKstudios Meaning?
Pulse rifle and pulse pistol will give you the range and survivability. Love your theme! You show how much 40k is about creativity and making it your own.
thanks for the advice and the kind words I really appreciate it
From my understanding, depending on play style you’ll want pulse rifles and pistols (strike team) or pulse blasters and pistols (breacher team). With breachers you’d be good sticking them in a devilfish with a guardian drone and driving straight into your enemies face. But I’m a farsight enclaves player so I need to get a bit closer.
So difficult to decide
I’m into this series
Ditto, looking forward to more of this stuff
Glad you enjoy
Maybe the rival is a mechanicus counterpart who’s interest in Tau tech began with being run off their forgeworld. With a burning desire to reclaim what they’ve lost (a zeal for technological development bordering on heresy) they have grafted Tau tech and know-how onto mechanicus units (like Onager Dune Crawlers with Hammer head railguns or bipedal Breachers that tale inspiration from crisis suits.).
Hell, if you wanted to really straddle the line of heresy you could make the Magos’ retinue super shorthanded, forcing their reconquista force to consist of repurposed drone/AI tech to bolster their numbers.
This concept is really good. An onager dune crawler with hammer head bits.
@@OneMindSyndicate happy to help chief. You and SoundAlchemist Keep up the bangup job you’re doin 💪🏾
Looking forward to Celestial Sons/Dragons Vs. Machine Spirit Sept 🙌🏾
im doing tau army and chaos demon army ty for your time great to know more.
I do like this video style, I guess it takes more time but it's well received thanks 😊
I'm so glad!
Aun'shi needs to be Vior'la (can be namechanged to your custom sept but you need the Vior'la rules). From the agression inherent in the sept (and how it is reflected in the tabletop) pulse blasters are better. And maybe pick up some pathfinders later on.
Maybe the ethereal was a prisoner on the forge world and is why it was taken by Tau? His rival could be whoever would of been in charge of the planet at the time
For the purple color-scheme: How about a purple-camo. so you can use multiple shades of purple and go along as you see fit.
Great idea. Im going to add that to my list
Question: Do you think that GW should add a Nekron sub-faction of Necrontyr that somehow escaped the necrodermis trap, either for the lore or for the tabletop?
No because that would be super badass for xeno players and GW only cares about SPESS MEHREENS
@@OneMindSyndicate chuckle . . . .
Them fighting some nids splinter fleet winning but with terrible losses ans some nids escaping and you character forced to hunt them down in a sort of old one eye situation
Im starting to really like your guys nid ideas
For a rival, maybe some loyalist that wants to get Chimundis back into Imperial control
Great idea, I think that would be the easiest plot to give him
@@OneMindSyndicate it doesn't have to be a main rival, but it would be odd, if that's not present
my Ethereal is actually a Kroot "Elder Shaper". since my entire Tau army is kitbashed Kroot, who rebel against the Tau, and eat them. with the goal of liberating and uniting Pec against The Greater Good.
I love that, kroot are some of my favorite models. It sucks you can't have a mercenary army of kroot any more. They were their own thing back in 5th edition.
@@OneMindSyndicate i just replace all the Tau heads with Kroot heads, and use Tau rules for them. i also have regular Kroot, who are much taller, and some regular Kroot armed with Tau weapons. ...and a few with some Gue Vesa weapons(imperial guard weapons) for funzies.. my Darkstrider stand-in carries a Boltgun with a Marker Light. my Shadowsun stand-in has chainsword bayonets.
I wasn't gonna make or paint the Etheral that came with my Kill Team, but I'll get to him after I paint up my main stays
What are you suing for HQ ?
5:45 sounds like kingdom manga tactical general. He stays behind the line n guide the army. His death could either cripple the army or drive them to suicidal charge.
I won't be surprised if there was game where you play as ethereal and manage a tau planet/city and makes sure every caste are doing their job, while you as ethereal gets make heavy decisions that effect the society that you are running.
@@messageinthebottle1673 wh40k universe, so much potential.
@@eleethtahgra7182 alot potential! Almost every genre you can think of warhammer 40k can definitely make a any story! I get very upset when I see a potential 40k stories goes to waste. And seems like most of the time only the fans can do fantastic stories.
Here is a very good example of this!
th-cam.com/video/DVXEYksoE6c/w-d-xo.html
@@messageinthebottle1673 lol, yeah, watched that. Thats God Emperor level dedication.
I always wonder what would happen when the Tau encounter the necrons.
In dawn of war they have. In the 40k star map there is a tomb world next to the Tau empire but other then that I dont think so
Tau has encountered the necron before and went war against them. Dawn of war dark crusade was good example of that and its cannon.
A necron over lord rivalry would be fun. They would probably awaken the tomb world and get atomized
Continue this series
Yes I want to do something like this with every faction in wh40k
loveing this, kitbash is king
Gursh'juan plez do a video "kit bashing the cheapest stuff I can find online". do it in two parts. A stream where viewers help you find dirt cheap stuff by linking it to you on Twitter. Epic viewer engagement moment. Simultaneously you scroll eBay and bid on rarted broken models. Part 2. Make a video series afterwards bashing all of the bits bobs and you've got a hold of into a squad or legion. Have you viewers vote on lore, backstories, colour schemes, anything you want once all the trash has arrived in the mail. Epic viewer engagement moment pt 2. please copy pasta this for the greater whhAAAaaAAAaa
My army has 2 ethereals , a really old senior ethereal and a junior ethereal he is training to replace him.
What model did you use for the old ethereal
Chi-raq seems fair for a Fire cast Tau. Equip a either plasma or Imperial borrowed (*cough🤣🤣🤣) rifles
I like the name
Yo Gershjuan! Go Royal purple bro! It stands out better and has a more exciting/realistic impact on the kits themselves ^_^
I need to test it out on these minis
For my AUX, I swapped out my Kroot, with some kit-bashed Skaven/Imperial Guard. Although I think there are some Sci-fi Rats now available.
Enjoyed this video
Clearly you should go polar opposites of the techy Tau and go 'Nids.
Maybe even Genestealer cults. All the kitbash options...
Thats a new idea. I have always wanted a nid army
Ethereals are awesome!
they are
First
Question: Is there Nanotechnology, and who would be using it?
Necrons have nano scarabs, the adeptus mechanicus has Nano-genus Mechadendrit. You would think the Tau would but no, they do not. They don't have the time nor space of their ever-growing empire.
YEs necrons and their nano scarabs
Dont tau have nanotech to repair their tanks mid-fight?
@@michelecastellotti9172 And i think they use drones to do that.
Tau vs. orks... Super Serious vs Supa Seerius
May be too late for the rival suggestion but how about a no nonsense, lead from the front officer in the astra militarum. The ethereal inspire by well something not entirely readily observable. This officer inspires by being toughest guy in the trenches and crafting battle plans to bring most of his or her troops home.
Ko'vash Tau'va Gue'vesa'ui
Have em fight harlequins
That would be out of the ordinary
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!
WAAAAAAAAAAAGH! tau vs orks a classic
