I have several lines from Majorcraft Triplecross, Crostage, Giant Killing and exactly this Solpara LSJ. This has been by far my favorite. Although it is a shore jigging rod, I use it for my 40g stickbaits.
I was thinking a 4K spinner for all around or a 5K to be more serious. So i received a Daiwa Saltists 4K for it. The sheer size, line capacity, stats is that of a typical 5K. It's on my channel as i only recently received it. Since it was a Japanese rod i thought fitting it with a Japanese reel was in order. I like the stats for shoreline saltwater spin casting in Hawaii, also the inner mangroves. Thinking of getting a 10ft M or m/h next that'll accept up to 3oz so I can toss small surface plugs with it.
I redid my initial inspection yesterday. I added a 4K Saltist. Wow! That LSJ is a strong "backboned" jigging rod! It feels more solidly built in terms of weight & flex. Most HC's are finesse styled like the GSP & SST, but with backbone. This rod is all "Backbone". I was expecting a stronger type of finesse styled rod but this is way beefier. I suspect if i got the LSJ longer, like 10' or the 10'6" that length would've offered more flexibility.
Just fyi for anyone that sees this, I ordered one of these and the seller asked me to cancel the order on my end. This is against Amazon’s TOS, do not cancel. Make the seller cancel it. They will usually do this because the price was too low and don’t want to honor it!

I only just got this one but looking at another stronger rated one for heavier jigs to stickbaits right now.
Major craft best bang for the bucks
Haven't taken it out in the field as i just got it but the build looks extremely good!
What type of reel would you recommend for this

How does compare to similar length Hawaiian customs?

I already had that issue. Exactly. But they honored it & even threw in a free lure to say they're sorry.
@@ScubaChrisjust tried to order from a different seller and they also did the same thing. Tuff times lol
