That was absolutely fabulous! I have a couple of small, adjustable, all metal punch needles, but found a large wood violin version in an antique shop and knew exactly what it was. Was very happy to take that home for a steal of a deal, because as you said, no one knows what it is. ;)

Thank you so much for this. there is not a lot out there for punched rugs and this presentation answered several questions I had had for a long time. and it got me a new design idea for my rug.

I love Amy. I’m so glad things worked out where she owns McAdoo.

This is fantastic, thanks so much for preserving an endangered craft! I hope some day I can do the same for Popotillo, which I think is even more at risk of going extinct. I'm following the example you described about making kits, and concur with the ideology you described about making sure the artisans have a knack for it first, though not so much in that I'd worry over quality, bit rather that I worry that they should be able to enjoy the process.❤️ Do you have advice for getting the word out about endangered crafts? I know you said it was sort of a luck of the draw random chance by getting featued by someone well known, but are there any additional things you'd recommend? Any publications or museums that specialize in endangered arts?

I found a no. 3- so. E.Z automatic hook rug needle in a flea market and I don’t know how to use it

The closed caption subtitles are hilariously bad (but super-unhelpful if you actually can’t hear what’s being said - I had them on to hear the intros beyond the chittering audience members settling in - but if I were actually hearing-impaired, I’d have been ever confused by the subtitles)
