The most likely outcome for tonight is Warriors playing SAC in first do or die play-in game (whether at home or on the road, doesn't really matter imo), with a 62.5% chance of that happening, so I'd gladly sign up for that.

Just because Embiid gets to the line a lot doesn’t mean the refs are helping him. Embiid is just so big and strong that defenders are forced to foul him or they would allow easy baskets. Plus Embiid is an elite free throw shooter so it is obvious that if he gets sent to the line a lot, he will make a lot.

Crazy season, especially in the West: but the playoffs will largely confirm the standings, I believe. Top 3s are a cut above, execution is key and defense will win the championship. Dubs sorted themselves just in time, but their road to the Finals depends on teams underestimating them. When they do, they got a shot at a 5th ring. When they outplay us though (size/defense/punishing TOs), this post season will be short.

First of all, he was talking about the Lakers getting an advantage on FTs, not the Warriors.
Second, The Warriors got five more FTs than the Pelicans in that game. That's not a significant advantage.

It's just right that LAL vs NOP will first, IF SAC vs GSW would go first that might actually affect the 7 vs 8 game. Let's say SAC won against GSW, the LAL have to win against NOP, because AD can't win against Domas. Now, IF the GSW came victorious against SAC, LAL can actually gave the 7th to NOP because the 8th spot against GSW is 80% winnable with AD. Plus they get to evade the DEN in the 1st Round.

Memphis missed Adams and Brooks. They fine without Ja a low efficiency poor defense shot jacket. You can check their record when only he didn't play. It's not hard to replace his points by spreading his shots around. And the team is 8 points better defensively without him.

The simple solution to the FT discrepancy is instead of that talk about a 4pt line, just make anything scored in the paint (like a FT) a 1pt conversion.
Then anything outside or starting from outside the paint in the 2pt to the 3pt line a 2pt conversion and 3 is 3.
Now of they give FT attempt like candy to a fat kid it can net 2 pts rather than 3 because lets be honest, what is it worth to shoot a 3 if you can get 3 from the paint?
If we change the point conversion then it sets apart the 3pt to get just calls turning to a 4 while 2pt can go to three and 1 to 2, It makes logical sense.
It makes driving in basically useless and it basically stops being basketball at that point. Maybe just not calling so much dumb shit for players that don’t deserve it

It’s hysterical watching these WNBA players who complain endlessly that no one watches their league try and find any way to lessen the interest in their own league because it’s generated by a player they don’t like(I think we all know why that is of course) They’d rather their league continuing having to give away tickets to half fill a small arena than see it succeed due to having “the wrong kind of woman” boost the league’s popularity exponentially. People act like Clark has to win titles in order to bring in viewers and ticket sales when she could end up winning zero titles and it would still be a massive success for the league. The WNBA has literally not generated a profit a single year it has existed. Without the NBA literally just giving them 10mm a year they’d be out of business. Really makes you think why these players all seem to not want Clark as their star. Are we really going to pretend it’s because she shoots a lot of 3’s or are we going to acknowledge that it’s the same reason Jokic is constantly trashed by the media, ex players, etc? Gilbert Arenas said the nba should literally kick all European players out of the league. Love my Warriors. But in between Draymond sabotaging them with his tantrums, the absolutely sloppy turnovers, and Curry not playing in superstar mode on a consistent basis, I don't see them getting very far. I will be happy to eat my words; but they're just too erratic this season. (And, yes, I do think Curry is shortchanged on the foul line, which only adds to the problem).
