Hi Carol! I really enjoyed seeing all of your past, present and future Christmas stitches. I started cross stitching in 1980 as well, so your older pieces were very familiar to me. I think I have a few of them hanging around here somewhere, too. I’m glad you like the project bag, it was fun to make. I am so enjoying the quilt you sent me!! Have a good stitchy week and I will see you soon! 🎄🎁🧵🪡💕💕💕
Thanks Carol! I love all your Present, Past, and Future stitching. I’ll be starting Elizabeth Ayles and Ann Grimshaw soon and will be working on them over 2022. We lived in North Florida, north of Jacksonville for a few years after college and worked on a dairy farm. It was owned by a state senator- back in the early 80s. Maybe I mentioned that previously. We didn’t have much time off but loved the beaches in Northern Florida and of course St Augustine. I have several of those small ornaments in the plastic frames stitched by my Mom, my older sister, or me. My Mom died shortly after of liver cancer and I was in my early 20s. They still hold very special memories. I look forward to seeing your Christmas Quilts next time. Sandy
Carol, I really enjoyed your video today! Some of your early ornaments brought back lots of memories! My first cross stitch piece was an ornament similar to the ones you showed today. Isn’t it amazing how much we have progressed? I had to laugh at your “dust pan” moment story. I’m 64 and more and more things have become “thingies” and “whatchamacallits”! It’s scary, but funny at the same time. Some days my husband and I just look at each other and laugh because neither one of us can think of it! We’re all in that same boat. I look forward to your next video! Have a wonderful week!
Love to see your beautiful stitching. Go back to church it is so much better to be there with others. We went back right away and noticed such a difference. Texas opened early and I am so Thankful.
Love your little stories sprinkled throughout the video, like finding a comb. May you and your family have a blessed Christmas season full of Christ's love.
Merry Christmas Carol....always a treat to visit with you! Thank you for sharing all your beautiful pieces with us. Thank you for the laughs, you brighten my day.
Hi Carol! Lovely lovely stitching & eye candy!!! Yes…Jesus is the reason for the season. I always say ‘Lord willing & the saints don’t rise’ ☺️ Merry Christmas to you & your family 🎄🎅🏼🧑🏼🎄💞
I agree with all your Christmas movie picks!!! They never grow old. Also I agree with you about unstitching is far better than trying to fudge a mistake. Personally the mistake would bother me every time I look at the piece. I am impressed that you have kept your stitching since the 80s. I stitched back then too, but the oldest piece I have may be 1992. I have been watching your videos since the first one and love them all!!! Thanks and Merry Christmas.
Love, love, love your flosstubes...I always love what you have stitched, are stitching and what you hope to stitch... The dustpan story was sooooo funny...I forget what I want to say or don't remember the word or words often... Thanks for being you!!!
I am just getting around to finishing watching this video. I love Maureen Appleton's designs also.I have a couple of them in my stash. "I think at the time I thought that was really fun! "😂😂😂 All of your hoopla finishes are just great. Likewise, your blackbird pieces! Dustpan!! Paper clip! You are cracking me up! We all have those moments sometimes! I always enjoy your videos. Thanks a lot Carol!
Merry Christmas and god bless you and your family. I love watching your floss tube, you make me smile and are a good enabler! Thanks for sharing all of your beautiful projects and your stories. Love and blessings xx
Oooooo.....I will have to go see #57....I missed it.... Looking forward to the Christmas Quilts....yayyyy! Yes, I know what you mean about correcting it instead of trying to figure out how to work around it....that is so true. LOVE the Christmas movie choices.
Here I am again Carol. Very late to the party! I’m spending my day getting all caught up and going back and watching more of your earlier floss tubes! I love your channel so much!
I love seeing the older stitching! I remember doing those same towels and same ornaments-brings back lots of good memories! I love your videos-they always make me smile! Your stitching is beautiful!
Enjoyed watching your video and seeing all your ffo’s and previous ffo’s and new kits love everything you show. Have a wonderful day and happy stitching 😊🧵🪡🤗🤩🎅🎄🤶
Thank you for another GREAT video! You had me laughing with the story about forgetting the name of the dust pan. I have many stories like that too. I recently asked my husband about something & could only tell him "that yellow thing". He keeps bringing it up. I was so happy to see your post but made up my mind "NO ENABLING!" Guess what? Lots of enabling!!! Jesus IS the reason we have Christmas!
FRED ASTAIRE, Carol! FRED ASTAIRE! That's who you were trying to think of when you mentioned "Holiday Inn". I'm a couple of years older than you and you mentioned most of my favorite holiday movies. My husband and I have a tradition where we sit down on Christmas Eve and watch "White Christmas", my absolute favorite. I know the words to every song and even most of the routines - used to drive my dad crazy that I would insist we watch it every time it was on the TV - on multiple channels!! Really enjoyed this video with all your Christmas stitching, past, present and future. Merry Christmas!
Enjoyed seeing your past, present and future stitching, so many lovely pieces. Don't worry about memory until you find the dustpan in the refrigerator. You enjoy the season as well!
I loved seeing all your Christmas stitching from past present and future. I can relate to having forgetful moments and I think that we all have them and so good to be able to laugh at them. Thank you for another wonderful video.
Girl I’ll be more than happy to be your storage unit anytime if you need one just send it all to me🤣that stinkin Red Deer behind you distracts me into oblivion and I can not focus on one word or one stitch and I have to watch your videos several times every time he’s behind you! I love him so so so much❤️who am I kidding I love you and everything you stitch you are the 👑 queen! Merry Christmas 🎄 Carol many blessings!
Hi Carol. Enjoyed your video so much. Loved your Prairie Schooler piece. Don't forget to put the tip of Rudolph's nose on him. Have a happy week. Pam Miller
Glad to hear others forget common words at times. Too funny! Enjoyed all you showed and now I’ll be able to sleep soundly knowing your hair is parted precisely. I’m right there with you on old Christmas movies. It’s a must to start with White Christmas.
Thanks for the visit! I too part my hair, or I should say my head parts my hair on the right. I just let my head/ hair decide. I haven’t had the problem of hair dressers telling me I part it wrong. I’d be unimpressed if they did as I was a 70’s girl (natural) and the hair dressers will never get rich off me, sorry. I just let my hair do it’s thing unless I braid it. Hope your thanksgiving was a good one. It is most definitely the busy time of year. Hope this week is slower for you and you can get more stitching time.
Oh Carol love your videos and you always make me smile. Love your hair commentary and we watch It’s a Wonderful life yearly and it makes me cry yearly.lol. I remember having Creative Circle parties. Nope I wasn’t in diapers my daughter was born in 80, I will be 65 new yrs eve. Lol. Omg omg! Dustpan what is it with that thing, cos I had put it down in one room, went on to sweep and couldn’t find it, asked where did I put the thing for broom…. What? You know the thing you sweep the dust into…uh cindy the dustpan?omg you really made me lol! Have a great Christmas!
You are my favorite Floss Tuber to watch. I’ll never be the prolific stitcher that you are, so it is fun to live vicariously through you. BTW, Bing’s costar in “Holiday Inn” was Fred Astaire. He was originally supposed to also costar in “ White Christmas” but was unavailable, so Danny Kaye replaced him.
Thank you! Always enjoy your channel…Words are hard..I think we forget words because we are so busy with all the “ things”..look forward to seeing you again soon. Saturday the 18th is my family’s Christmas and My husband’s and my 50 wedding anniversary…so a very special holiday party
You forgot the name of a dust pan. I forgot to close my car hatch and my featherweight fell out, bounced, slid along a hwy 45 feeder. Traffic was literally stopped because no one could drive over such a large bag. It’s now a little wonky. The bag was a fabric bag which has holes from the thread spindle and skid marks. The featherweight has a broken thread spindle but otherwise seems fine.
I love ya Carol. You make me smile. I do know that you can't hear me talking to You all through the video but you are so friendly that I feel I have to comment on your funny stories and beautiful needlework.I. let my husband think I'm on a zoom call and not just talking to floss tube he thinks I am a little batty already.. hanks for all the videos this past couple years of craziness.they helped get me through. Merry Christmas to you and your sweet husband.
Your stitched projects are always a joy to see. You cracked me up when telling the dustpan story. Your husband sounds like a hoot. Enjoy the holidays and your family. Happy stitching🪡
You really cracked me up…and made me feel better about forgetting silly details….like a dustpan. I just think that means we can’t be trusted to do anything but sit and stitch! Merry Christmas. Pam
Omg! Yes, I too part my hair on the right , love the same Christmas movies and couldn’t remember the word for shoelaces. I kept wanting to call them shoe strings like the snack. What is happening to us? By the way, I have a mini -collection of The Christmas Carol movie. I have the Alastair Sim, the George C. Scott, the Patrick Stewart and even the Mr. Magoo version. I watch every one each year!☺️
Thank you for your video. Such a fun visit! I have my favorite Christmas movies on DVD/BluRay so I pull them out and watch them when I am relaxing at night, throughout December. (Have to fit them in between my Chicagoland sports teams playing that day) I have many versions of a Christmas Carol which I love! A Christmas Story, It's a Wonderful Life, White Christmas, and one of my fave's, The Bishop's Wife. The old one not the new one. The one with Cary Grant and Loretta Young. It's a joy! I feel like Christmas snuck up on me, it felt a long way away, and now it's just 2 weeks! Always love everything on your video! See you next time, and happy stitching!
Oh wow. Love Chris Tomlin. Just had to comment or I would forget by the end. So behind in my flosstube so will have a lovely time catching up after Christmas. You have a wonderful Christmas.
I loved your Christmas episode!! The 1831 sheep from Plum Street Samplers is one I meant to get and forgot about. I love it! I collect sheep and the poinsettia is so lovely!
Carol, wonderful episode! I stitched a bunch of those little ornaments in the little round frames in the 1980 time frame as well. I will have to share a picture on Instagram. Merry Christmas to you and your family! Love ya!
Merry Christmas! Loved seeing all your present, past, and futures. I said to my husband that I was going to go to my sewing studio to work on my present and determine my futures! He just shook his head. He is supportive of me, and is even working on his first cross stitch project. He picked out an ambitious Rosewood Manor design. He is 68! Never too late. Although he admits it might take him a year or two...yep. He isn’t retired. Loves woodworking and builds model ships. Among other things. Looking forward to seeing your Christmas quilts, I have two to finish this month. It will happen! Take care. Lynn in Indiana
Great video, beautiful pieces. Love that Red and Green Carnation Sampler, checked on that, I missed that Girls Club opportunity 😬. We are a baseball family too, 2 grandsons, love it.
You are my favorite Flosstuber! I really appreciate how you stay focused on stitching (with funny life stories) rather than turning your channel into a haul/stitchy gifts infomercial. You are so down to earth and relatable! So what if you can't remember the name of your dust pan? As long as you know what it is used for, you're okay!
Thank you for your comment, I certainly understand your feelings. I will always be about stitching with a little quilting thrown in. (And a warning with that) haha. And yes still remember the use of the items I can’t remember.
I loved your visit! And, there is nothing wrong with the way your hair parts. I part mine the same way. Great minds think alike! I also just watched White Christmas. I love the movie.
It is a joy watching your videos! We have had temperatures in the 80s here in North Tx, also. Crazy. Thank you for sharing your time with us! -Dianna 😊
Love your videos. And your husband yelling the number, Too funny. By the way I part my hair on the same side 👱🏼 as you. Happy holiday Carol and family.
Thank you all the stitching you share with us. You are such an inspiration. I wish I can stitch faster so I can have a beautiful wall full of samplers like you
OM Gosh Carol. I did those same ornaments from 1981 in those plastic frames. I forgot all about them until I came across them in the bottom of one of my Christmas containers. I didn’t put them up as mine looked pretty rough. What fun memories. Always enjoy your videos. Linda… over here in Ocala Fl
I was also a baseball mom. Then I got to watch both of my grandson play league ball and school ball. I truly miss watching them. Now I have more time to make quilts and cross stitch. A lot of thing you show I want to do. Currently working on A Cup of Cheer. Have a Merry Christmas.
Thank you for the wonderful visit. This afternoon I had a Christmas stitching time with friends and then home to see I could visit with you made the day so special. Thanks for the inspiration,so blessings and happy stitching.
“Dustpan” moments are an everyday thing for me! At least we know we’re having them! Love your past, present and future stitching! So glad to hear you’re slowing down on quilting for others. Continue to take good care 😘❤️ Rebecca
Merry Christmas. Lovely video. I notice more and more I'm having dustpan moments a lot. My daughter, 29yrs. Doesn't help because she tries to confuse me on purpose. Drives me crazy
It's always an enjoyable time to see what your past, present and future stitches are! Now ya' know I'm going to have to go back and watch your episode #1...lol! Merry Christmas! :-)
Merry Christmas to you and yours!🎄 I love that you said " Lord willin' and the creeks don' t rise!" ... My grandma used that phrase every time we parted ways. Thank you for your videos!
You always crack me up but I literally laughed out loud about the dustpan. I’ve had so many of those moments lately! I don’t know what’s going on with my brain. I guess maybe it’s just full? I’m even struggling during my Flosstube videos. Last one I couldn’t think of the word crossbar. I didn’t think of it until the next day. lol I do hope we get to meet someday, I suspect we could get into a lot of trouble together and have great fun doing it.
Love my time with you. You bring back so many wonderful memories! I will also look at my dust pan! Glad I am not the only One! I too always watch white Christmas! Busy time thank you so much for your time. And I am excited I am waiting for my order from Flax.
I love your flosstube! You inspire me to stitch. It was so fun to see all your old pieces…I’ve stitched a lot of those oldies as well! I Done My Best was one of my all time favorites…did a bunch of her snowmen! Merry Christmas Carol!!
I have some of those little framed ornaments too! Fun to see them. As usual, enjoyed your video and had a belly laugh over “dustpan”! I should n’t laugh, between brain farts and hearing issue a person can only laugh about it. Merry Christmas 🎁🎄.
I just have to say how much I enjoy your baseball stories. My boys came up through the little league system and my grandson went through that and travel ball and is now playing at a North Carolina college on a baseball scholarship. Good luck on your games, I can tell you enjoy them as I have even in my senior years. You just reminded me I haven’t watched Holiday Inn yet this season and it is a truly special movie for me. I loved your Christmas charts and did write a few down. I am looking forward to your Christmas quilts as I am basically more of a quilter but am trying to divide my time up in the new year. Happy Holidays to you and your family 🎄🎅🥰
Carol I love that 7 count Prairie Santa.
Hi Carol! I really enjoyed seeing all of your past, present and future Christmas stitches. I started cross stitching in 1980 as well, so your older pieces were very familiar to me. Have a good stitchy week and I will see you soon! 🎄🎁🧵🪡💕💕💕
I like Santa's tree farm not stained. It looks Scandinavian.
Carol, I’m told you don’t need to worry when you can’t name something. You worry when you don’t know what it’s for! 😉
Thanks Carol! I love all your Present, Past, and Future stitching. I’ll be starting Elizabeth Ayles and Ann Grimshaw soon and will be working on them over 2022. Carol as always thanks for spending time with me. Robin
As a stylist we usually recommend that a client parts their hair to get the most lift to their hair unless they want it flatter to their head.
Here I am again Carol. Very late to the party! I’m spending my day getting all caught up and going back and watching more of your earlier floss tubes! I love your channel so much!
Aww thanks so much!!!
Very cute Praire School Santa 🎅
I love seeing the older stitching! I remember doing those same towels and same ornaments-brings back lots of good memories! I love your videos-they always make me smile! Your stitching is beautiful!
I’m older now so I part my hair according to how much white roots I want to show.😬so I change sides.

Oh wow. Love Chris Tomlin. Just had to comment or I would forget by the end. So behind in my flosstube so will have a lovely time catching up after Christmas. You have a wonderful Christmas.
Carol, In my world a dustpan is called a "gride" Gride and broom is much easier to remember. Thanks as always for your inspiring video.
That’s so funny and a great play on words. Love it!

@@saltboxstitcher I figure if we can follow cross stitch charts, our brains must be okay!
I love White Christmas too, my husband and I just watched it this week. My silly favorite though is National Lampoon Christmas Vacation.😆
I loved your visit! And, there is nothing wrong with the way your hair parts. I part mine the same way. Great minds think alike! I also just watched White Christmas. I love the movie.
I have some of those years ago, ornaments in the gold plastic frames, I love those memories every year❤️priceless.
Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas. ❤️
Thank you all the stitching you share with us. You are such an inspiration. I wish I can stitch faster so I can have a beautiful wall full of samplers like you
Merry Christmas 🎄🎄to you and your family. Keep the videos coming, you are my inspiration ❤️
Mine are pretty rough too but the memories of making them is so fun!
I was also a baseball mom. Then I got to watch both of my grandson play league ball and school ball. I truly miss watching them. Now I have more time to make quilts and cross stitch. A lot of thing you show I want to do. Currently working on A Cup of Cheer. Have a Merry Christmas.
Carol, another fabulous video...loved seeing your first stitching, so many memories such fun! Many blessings to you & family this Christmas 🎄🤗
Thank you for the wonderful visit. This afternoon I had a Christmas stitching time with friends and then home to see I could visit with you made the day so special. Thanks for the inspiration,so blessings and happy stitching.
So glad you are back!! Another awesome video!! Thank you!!
Love your movies choices, same for me but I also watch Going My Way w/Bing Crosby.
Merry Christmas 🎄 and thanks for sharing!
Merry Christmas!! Blessings!! Thanks for the video!!
Merry Christmas! I so enjoy my time with you. Love the dustpan story 😂😂
Thanks for another great video
