Thanks for doing these vids. It is appreciated. Mine's a Marantz 5030. I've watched all your Marantz vids and they've been helpful. I am in the middle of recapping the machine and have already addressed the belts and idlers. Playback still chews tapes occasionally though. I think I need to do the idler that's got to from the front. Like you showed in another vid. Do you have the correct measurement for that idler? Thanks again.
The idler that I use for my Marantz cassette decks is from "Fixyouraudio.com" the size is 14mm x 19mm x 2mm that works on my Marantz SD800 and 1810's. If your Marantz is eating tapes it's best to replace the front idler.
Thanks for all your hard work I can't imagine me doing this by myself without getting some kind of help of knowing how to fix these old tape decks and why it's not working right i know a person can't fix everything but I think your a professional when it comes to cassette decks 👨👍🛠️👷♂️💼👨🔧🈺👔👨💼💹🔨📼👨🎤💽💽
Thank you so much, this video is excellent, clear and extremely helpful, job done on a CT-F850.
I always wanted a CTF850 couldn't find one in my price range.
Those decks are very nice when working. Good job!
This CT-F900 is my daily driver, I play it at least 2 hours a day/evening. Scoring it on Ebay for $200 was a miracle.

I only started teaching myself during Covid shutdowns. Watching TH-cam videos doing what you are doing. 😎
Hi. What is the way to remove the clips on idler tire shaft? Or how did you remove the tire without damaging the idler wheel? Thanks.
I used a plastic zip tie to wrap around the idler tire and the bracket that holds idler wheel. I will post a photo of it in a minute.
See photo i just posted on community.
@@mr.nobody5422 thanks.
