I think Series S strength is on huge backlogs of previous gen consoles, that includes 360 and OG Xbox era. Even PS5 cant emulate PS3 games. There are lots of people who don't really care for new games. Still a great little $300 consoles.
Thanks for the looking back with the Series S. I have a question to you: What do you think is the better way playing with the Seies S? On a Full HD monitor or on a 55 inch 4k TV? I ask because because when I play games on performance mode (if possible) the most resolution is 1080p with 60 or 120 FPS if my info is correct. And in my opinion with that resolutuon the games looks not good on my 4k TV (e.g. Resi 4 Remake).
I'm always a firm believer in the better the resolution the better picture regardless of the source you're taking from. You also typically benefit from having better internal processing features from the TV. Usually monitors are better for response time, but I am curious if you're getting VRR which is incredibly helpful for the Series S. Internal resolutions while lower for Series S will still look their best at 4k as opposed to 1080p.
@@Skycaptin5 Thanks for your answer. Well, I bought a 24 inch Full HD 1080p Koorui monitor with 165 Hz and VRR. Is that a good option for my Series S playing games on it??
@@hotjoe-wl8gc As long as it supports the feature set of the Series S under the video settings with checkmarks of what you're after it'll probably do fine.
I think it's good for certain games, particularly if you also want something lighter, smaller and compact. But I gotta' confess that I took the machine back to Costco before the 90-day return policy expired, and then took that refund and applied it to purchasing the faster, more powerful Series X from Game Spot. I'm glad I did. For me, when all said and done, it was the video card on the Series S that left me underwhelmed.
@XBOXisWeakAF - My PC is a Lenovo IdeaPad 3 AMD 5500U integrated graphics laptop. Currently playing Farcry 6 at 900p high textures at 35-60 fps. At least it's better than the 30 fps on Xbox One S. Farcry 6 looks great on my 43" Sony Bravia 4K TV either way because this TV upscaling is excellent.

Europe here lol Xbox is dead in Europe as sales drop 27% on last year while PS5 rises by 376%, sales figures from Europe make grim reading for Microsoft, as the Xbox is easily outsold by the PS5 and Nintendo Switch.
Sad that the series S is outselling the series x lol😂😢 no one's wants a weak 12 tf minifridge console. The only people stull buying a xbox ttodsy are Un educated parents. Pointless to buy into a dying brand.
I would say it's great for parents who want an affordable gaming device that their kids can play fortnite and Minecraft on. And if they purchase game pass ultimate, they don't need to worry about buying new games
Well over at Xbox.... You buy the game once and you can play it on your PC your Xbox your tablet your phone.... How is that obsolete Enjoy the pay station
The Series S was way under powered when it was released 4 years ago, now it's a complete and utter joke. Do yourself a favour, if you have one, sell it and buy a PS5 Pro. If you don't have one, keep it that way and buy a PS5 Pro.

it just shows what level your PC is at if you use it with something with power similar to a Russian calculator lol 🤣

I think in hindsight the Xbox series S was a huge mistake, Developers are going to skip it more and more.
(which means skipping Xbox all together)
This console held back the entire generation for Xbox
If developers can't optimize their games, they probably shouldn't be publishing them anyways
