I just wanted one of these for the ally lights and take downs. I wanna disconnect the others. When you out in the woods in the dark off-roading it’s gonna come in handy.
I highly do not recommend using wire nuts especially in a permanent install application. Butt connectors are gonna be your best friend when doing that because they have a more secure connection when using those.
Hi at the junkyard where I live there’s some old light bars on some crown Victorias how can I see if the light bar works ? Like can I take just a battery and touch some wires to it are sone I need a switch are something I really want the light bar
Straypuft I would recommend only the outside. I tried one of the short lenses on the inside and it started to scratch, so I only did the outsides from then on and have had good luck doing it that way. (I only have restored clean lenses so far.)
I have a Whelan edge 9m I want to hook up in my garage the 12 volt is no problem but the low voltage do I need control box or can I just wire switches would love some info
So I've got a 2010 dodge charger setup with a federal signal raydian? and whatever TA bar you've got in that video that also includes red and blues in the TA... Any idea how or why the siren is so quiet? I assume they purposefully made it quiet but I need it to be normal or loud if possible. Could you give some help as to how? Also the lightbar resets sometimes? I went to a car show and the lightbar kept turning off and on randomly, and when it'd do that stuff would be steady burn or in different patterns than it were before. Example; it would be in a warning mode then it'd turn off and turn back on in a steady burn mode (Rear lighting)
FutureKC LEO Alright, for the low volume siren. That could be a short in the system, a 58 watt speaker instead of a 100 watt, wiring could be set up on the 58 watt even with a 100 watt speaker. What system are you using?
FutureKC LEO If the lightbar turns on and off, that usually indicates a disruption of power, especially if it’s only running on the battery and not while the vehicle is on. I had a Whelen liberty on a Chevy Colorado and it did the same thing while the vehicle was off. As to resetting, I’m not too sure about that. Possibly because of the lack of power the brain could be resetting, but I’m not 100% sure. I don’t own one and therefore have no experience with that model.
Hector Sun On the rear of the SS2000SM amplifier, there are three openings with vertical screws. Each one is labeled either 1, 2, or 3 and that is what the slide switch controls. Find which positive (+) wires from your Liberty you want to use for the slide switch and screw those in. Then make all the necessary wire connections to power for the amplifier and connect the Liberty to ground (-) too. That’s just the basics for starting out. There’s more you can do, but it’s too lengthy to mention here. I hope that gets you in the right path.
Code3Diffraction Thank you for the instruction. Unfortunately, my light bar have no feedback after connecting signal wires to 1 2 or 3 vertical screws and 12V power supply, which also terminate my chance to identify each single wire’a function. I can see 10V output from each vertical screws, but the light bar wasn’t lighting up. Just wondering is there anything to do with Auxiliary light outputs?
Jessiah I use a “JNC 660” It’s a portable 12 volt jump starter and works decently well. If you plan on leaving the lightbar on for an extended period of time, I would suggest a marine deep cycle battery (~$119). They’re available at almost any auto part store.

Beautiful lightbar.
Empire Gaming Thanks!
🤙 Nice bar
Do you have to have a control for the all blue or can you connect it to a switch panel?

When restoring the lens, do you do the inside of it as well or just the outside?(FYI, I have a few lightbar vids in my channel)
Straypuft I would recommend only the outside. I tried one of the short lenses on the inside and it started to scratch, so I only did the outsides from then on and have had good luck doing it that way. (I only have restored clean lenses so far.)
Where can I purchase inboard strobes for my whelen 9m and how many pins is the connector ? I’m seeing one in my light bar with 3 and one with 4

So i run same bar on my cruiser, but my cruise lights are super dim. Is there a reason why? Or a way to make it brighter
I'm pretty sure it's called the "LFL" not the "FLF". Anyway, nice bar, I have a Liberty as well!
Da Lights Guy Yes you’re correct it is LFL, apparently I’m 0.05% dyslexic. XD
Could you may show how to connect an Arjent SL to a Code 3 3692l4 Siren Control Box ?
Well, I have a Code 3 3692L4 siren, but I don’t own an Arjent SL bar, so I won’t be able to help you there. Very sorry.

Would you mind share the details about how to connect WHELEN to SS2000SM. I have the same liberty series but couldn’t work out

Were you located
Appreciate the video, but I watched 18 ads before I learned anything
So do you just connect yours to a battery charger cause I planned on putting my liberty inside

Code3Diffraction can you make a video on wiring the liberty to the ss2000sm
Couldnt you run it off a power supply unit? The type with variable volts and amps?
Where are you located
link to the light bar? lol
