Buying bans, imo, don't count for second hand purchases. You never know what a used bookstore will have and if you don't leap at those wild encounters they're gone! Especially for OOP series. Buckle up for November pre-orders, I dunno what's going on but there is soooooo much coming out for November 😅 The literal gasps that volume 9 of My Love Mix Up ripped out of me as I read it was criminal 💔 Sad that it's over. Ninaaaa!! ✨ I read the first volume and I'm obsessed. I can't wait for more. First Night with the Duke! It's been pushed back several times and this is the first time I've seen it in anyone's hands. I'm so excited that more manhwa are hitting Western markets. South Korea has really leaned into digital/mobile mediums to the comic industry. The full color experience really sets them apart from their Japanese counterparts. With more publishers (IZE Press, Inklore, Webtoon Unscrolled, Harper Collins, Seven Seas, ect.) securing manhwa licenses, I'm starting to see bookstore set aside a "manhwa section" instead of intermingled titles amongst the manga! Banana Fish 🍌 🐟 so wholesome, so comforting, so cozy, not heart-rending at all 😩💔😭 What a fantastic haul. Can't wait to see your collection tour video aaaannnnd your rearranging video. 🎉
Volume 6 of Given kind of starts a new arc or relationship that will follow along with getting tidbits of Mafuyu’s little downward spiral when it relates to music. Given volumes 1-3 primarily focus around the Mafuyu and Ritsuka’s relationship plus the group’s growth with Mafuyu joining. Volumes 4&5 is the second arc which deals with Haruki and Akihito’s relationship and Akihito and Ugetsu’s toxic relationship. Hiraagi and Shizusumi’s relationship starts in Volume 6 and continues through volume 7 but overarching storyline in the final volumes of the series is SYH making their official debut as a group. Personally I have a love-hate relationship with TCGF/Heaven Official’s Blessing the first two volumes were good then the second or third arc kicks in and you are in a past arc for a volume and a half. I haven’t read the series in over a year but have collected the remaining volumes so I can binge the final four volumes then I will decide whether or not if I will keep it in my collection. Mo Dao Zu Shi/Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation has both a novel (is complete at 5 volumes) and comic (that has three volumes out currently and volume four coming out next month). There is a live action drama series for MDZS as well called The Untamed on Netflix and a Chinese (you can watch on TenCent’s TH-cam Channel with a channel membership) and Japanese animation series (not sure where you can watch the Japanese anime at though).
You got some really great ones here! I personally loved Dreamin' Sun, so don't let others influence you that it is terrible and just try it yourself and see what you think.
I am excited to hear what you think about DRCL! I read vol. 1 and usually I love mystery, dark stories, but I couldn't get into it for some reason. I am currently completely invested in Nina the Starry Bride! This one definitely needs more than one vol. to grab you, in my opinion. I bought 9 volumes used, which made that super easy for me. It is a very simple story at first and I didn't like the first couple volumes too much, but now at Vol. 9 I can't wait for more! It is a really cool fantasy story with nice concepts - although I often feel that the author could have done more with it. It is by far not a deep story, but I enjoy it a lot. The art is soooo pretty throughout every page and since the story is not too complecated, it feels light and relaxing. Sad that the volumes are so thin and are even faster to read than the King's Beast! Looking forward to your collection video :) PS: Can't say anything bad to you for ordering manga, I had a really expensive month as well with 2 new book shelves coming in ^^" Other people have more expensive hobbies.. I guess?^^"
The next Tokyo Revengers omni comes out in November, I think. It's got adult Naoto on the cover. Then the next one after that comes out in January, and I don't think the character on that cover has been introduced yet for where you're at in the story so I won't spoil that. And did not know that 9 will be Given's last volume! Then, I'll wait until I've got that one till I read it! I just ordered 8 off Scifier yesterday. Vampire and his Pleasant Companions announced a new volume, but I'm not sure when it's coming out! I'm wanting to try out Manhwa, too! Any you've read already that you recommend? I've already got Raeliana 1, Who Made Me A Princess 1-3, My Gently Raised Beast 1 and Villains Are Destined to Die 1. I'm planning to continue collecting Raeliana and Villains Are Destined to Die.
I don’t think dreamin sun was terrible, although it starts off so strong and slowly gets so annoying and I don’t even want the main character to be with the person she ends up with 😢
Fanrastic haul!! Some really great series in there! If you want to dive more into the light novel world (and I see you love shoujo like me 🤭) I highly reccomend the Sugar Apple Fairy Tale light novels!!! Also, they're pretty thin so way less intimidating for a light novel to start off 🥰
I'm really enjoying Insomniacs After School. Blasted through the first three volumes in one go.
Same, it’s one of my favorites this year so far.

"Insomniacs After School" was such a nice surprise. It's a cozy, laidback vibe. You'll love it.

Great haul as always, you had some awesome finds.

I am wondering where you got the zodiac animal rocks from Fruits Basket. I would like to get some for when I'm able to get Billy bookshelves.
