I took a cruise for the first time in my life (not my choice) with my parents a few years ago. I unexpectedly loved it!! I couldnt believe how much was going on onboard, it was crazy. I used to love just sitting down and watching all the live music, jazz quartets, piano man, rock pop duos, string quartets, there was even a harpist. Plus the live shows in the evening. Honestly if the musicians played on port days I probably wouldnt have left the ship! ps. it was Alaska so I am glad I did! ;) you guys are awesome!
I’m so glad you enjoyed the entertainment onboard! Honestly the entertainment is the best part of any ship. A ship is a ship. Cruise food, for the most part, is still cruise food. People enjoy the experience because of the entertainment onboard and that point isn’t emphasized enough, in my opinion!
I think that a solo cruiser in their 40s would have an amazing time! There is a solo cruisers group that has fun social activities. There are so many options for entertainment, and the ports are incredible! I think you’ll have a great time!
That's not really how it works. Luis Fonsi has been named the godfather of the ship. He is not in any way a part of the entertainment team. There may be a performance from him during the christening of the ship, but he is not onboard now, and I do not know if he will ever set foot onboard.
Hi Nura!! 👋🏻 I’m happy to talk about that. The short answer is that great lengths are taken to ensure the comfort and accessibility of the ship for guests. Unfortunately, due to the safety responsibilities of crew members, they are able to circumvent typical hiring laws and crew members who do not pass the specific requirements of the company’s medical physical are not hired. I would imagine a guest entertainer who has different accessibility needs could be brought on as guest entertainers do not have safety responsibilities and are given passengers cabins.
