Absolutely not. He did not run. He went from Oklahoma to Los Angeles. His wages went up exponentially. He knew the transfer portal allowed him to make the team whatever he wanted immediately almost. He's in LA where he will get a lot more personal exposure if he ever wants to coach in the NFL. He's also coaching USC for crying out loud. He would have been dumb NOT to take the offer.

This is the only correct answer.

Except that now he has to live in the crazy state of California. Although with his money, it’s much easier to stomach living in a place like that.

Stop watching some of the propaganda put on by Fox News. I don't know if Cali is such hell why so so so many successfuls and riches live here or have property here@@kdean30

Fight On. USC loves LR. Even if LR leaves tomorrow, the entire USC family is proud of him and grateful for him. Fight On.

If he leaves tomorrow that would be devastating and chaotic. I met him personally and begged him to stay at least 7-8 years. 🤣✌️🤣✌️

As a Sooner I appreciate all that LR did for OU but for everyone sake it was time for him to move on and the bitterness is mostly how it happened. He’s a great Offensive mind but from a big picture perspective he wasn’t the right fit for the move to the SEC. In hindsight on the Chessboard he was a great OC and decent HC but wasn’t worth the loss of the Huepel relationship. Bob should’ve fired his DC/brother Mike and Josh should’ve inherited the Stoops throne IMO.
I’m from Tulsa but spent a lot of years working with British Petroleum in Cali from San Dawg to Port Hueneme and can understand the alure of SoCal and can’t fault him for his decision. I think it’s a great fit for him and that even though the breakup was rough it turned out okay for everyone.
From a football perspective LR knows he has one shot as USC. He has a short window with Caleb to get to the playoffs. From OU fan’s perspective his D shortsightedness is his kryptonite and is the reason for his ceiling. He Fights on for now but knows USC fans will eventually figure this out and he will Move On the NFL most likely Dallas Cowboys. No shade to my free spirited SC fan friends, ya’ll enjoy the ride while it lasts but you’ll never get above #4 with an LR Defense. No pun intended but the Sooner you guys realize this the less it will sting when reality sets in. 🤙🏼
