I think being oppressed is not what makes a race inferior but the inability to fight oppression or navigating your way out of oppression. China is a perfect example of how to navigate life after oppression, Africa needs a cultural reset.

True, but "Africa" is still very young in terms of its true independence, and I think that we must be conscious of that fact. Most countries in Africa only got their independence within the past 100 years. It's a lengthy conversation but the point I'm trying to make is that Africans have had to fight, not "innovate". It's gonna take a while to break out of the cocoon, but it's slowly happening.

I live in Europe, what you say makes lots of sense. People from Arabic and Muslim countries command respect, you never disrespect them, they will stand together in difficulty even if they have differences.
Chinese built their country in the fastest time. They are independent of the global economy.
Indians are business minded, they see opportunity in anything.
Ethiopian are one of the poorest in the world but they would never trade their identity for anything. They are proud of their culture and identity. You will find an Ethiopian restaurant in every European country.
We can cry forever about what happened to us historically. But what are we doing about it. All these people are not clouded by kindness and good hearts, they do whatever for their own.
Ive always said that, to be successful, you need to be ruthless. All successful nations have an element of ruthlessness.
Fidel Castro fought for Cuba and won with less than a 100 men. How come our ancestors were beaten by a less than a 100 people, when colonists set foot in Africa it was less than a 100 people but they conquered a whole continent

During the 35 years I lived in the Netherlands, problematic and challenging situations would be analysed, by the majority of people, on all levels, so that opportunities to improve could be identified and realised. During the past 10 years in SA, I see successful groups of people who keep to themselves (e.g. Muslims, Jews, Afrikaners, Indians), and then there is the majority of people including most of the political leadership, looking the other way: "Problem? I'm not solving it, so it's not my problem. When it's not my problem, there is no problem." I see massive dams, impressive feats of engineering established during the "white" years, with trees growing out of the staircases. Without maintenance, collapse is a matter of time. Dams are only a metaphor; this goes for all of society. When collapse happens, hands are raised to the sky, saying "what can we do"? (A whole lot, actually.) Regardless of colour: taking ownership, having a constructive and problem-solving attitude, getting things done - these are winning qualities, and they are definitely more prevalent among certain groups of people, rather than others. Rather than using divisive categories, just focus on those that have those qualities and work with them. A whole lot can be done.

I think the fundermental misconceptions about the characteristics that allow people to prosper, propose a detrimental prospect through which people believe that they are constrained by things that they can't control, which will influence their beliefs, world view and manifest into actions that make up a an unproductive culture.
I like that there is an emphasis on the word "culture" for i primarily believe that culture being the beliefs, values and overall way of living is the differentiating factor between those who are backward and those who are prosperous. If we look at disparities through the lense of culture we unvail a prospect that says " if you can change your culture, you can change your outcomes". It is culture that determines supriority or inferiority not race. It is understandable that due to events unfolding in the 20th century we have became reluctant to name one race superior and other inferior justly so. However we can not deny that there are certain characteristics, ideas, values and beliefs which have enabled certain groups of people to be more productive than others. From the idea of A nuclear family, 2 parent household being the best family structure, from the idea of mongamy being the best for ultimate compenionship, Christianity which bring a set of values and beliefs that if practiced will lead to a fulfilling life for all, to capitalism being the best system known to mankind for creating wealth and fighting poverty, the list is endless.
With that said we must always remember that the spread of ideas that had led to prosperous socities was not equal even in the western world.
Remember that the Greeks had philosophy, Geometry, architecture and literature at a time when britain was a land of primitive tribal people, Athens had Acropolis who's ruins are still impressive today at a time when britain had not even a single building, Greece had Plato, Euclid, aristotle and many other landmark figures who have the laid the interllectual foundation of western civilization at a time when not even a single briton had entered the pages of history. And this inequality was not just in Europe there were other complex civilization like India, China and Egypt when many European nations were still learning the rudiments of agriculture. History tells us that they were many European nations living in conditions that the greeks had transcended a 1000 years earlier. And they are many factors why greece was more developed that britain in the ancient world from geography and being able to access agriculture first as a result of being nearer to the middle east and many other factors.
However though disparities in wealth and wealth creating capacity have been have existed since many untold thousands of years the changes in a particular pattern of those disparities have occurred.
Though Greece was more advanced that britain in the ancient world britain became far more advanced than greece in the morden world when they led the world into the first industrial revolution. Nearly 40% of all inventions and discoveries made from the mid 18th century to the first quarter of the 19th century came from britain. And their prominence as a technologically advanced nation was met by their prominence as a conquering nation, occupying one fouth of the world's land area at its pic. One italian historian wrote, just how did a peripheral island rise from primitive squalor to world domination?
What this tells us is people at the top will not always be at the top and those at the bottom not always at the bottom given that something changes and that thing to me is culture. When people or nations lose the culture of honesty, integrity, humility, competition, innovation, entrepreneurship, sacrifice, hard work, education and skills development or overall the development of human capital, they will lose their position at the top and similarly if people at the bottom gain that culture they will rise to the top.
Being at the top can't just be about wealth if that was so every family or nations that has ever had wealth would maintain till eternity. But data tells us for families 70% of wealth is lost by the second generation and 90% is lost by the 3rd generation.
And rome would have never fallen, the ottoman empire would have never falled, spain would have never falled. Spain exploited just avout 400 tons of gold and silver from latin America at their peak had so much gold they referred to it as rain. But today they are amongst the poorer nations in europe. The all fell because the lost a culture. Family fall because children lose a certain culture that it took for their parents to build the wealth and same goes for nations.
    Final note
Everyone can incorporate a culture of winning, we do it everyday, we do it when we learn that successful peope wake up in the morning and we start waking up in the morning, when we learn they exercise and we start exercising, when we learn they read and we start reading. Every time we change the way we live to get certain results we are changing a culture. The Afrikaners did it by incorporate into british culture getting into mining going to learn in their schools and coming back with those ideas but only to benefit their own people. They didn't become Afrikaners by remaining Afrikaner and boers they learned what made their superiors successful and incorporated it into their own society. Its what our peope must understand, you can't clinge to a culture that you've always had and expect different results thats insanity. We must learn to incorporate the culture that have led other groups of people to be prosperous cause if it works for them chances are in will work for us. But we dont want that because we call it white culture. There is no such thing as white culture only a culture of successful people and backwards people

@Zamokuhle Nice try but not quite. A culture thsts not founded on STRONG SPIRITUAL principles cannot promote the VIRTUES that you listed. Afrikaners steeped on CALVANISTIC principles, Germans are steeped in LUTHERAN principles. They are raised to understand the value of harnessing and leveraging one's talents for the collective good, for its in serving others that we serve God. They have their own version if iSiNtu, uBuNtu. Thina weve lost our SPIRITUAL foundation, hence why we lack the driving force to build strong communities. Although Christianity originated from Africa (much like Judaism and Islam), the watered down version doesn't meet our needs, which goes to explain why we engage in all manner of debauchery (including corruption, ineptitude, greed) all as we purport to be Christians. Our ancestors knew better than to play games that would unleash generational curses, they strived to live right and do right because they were SPIRITUALLY grounded.
Africa will grow once we immerse ourselves in African spirituality which promotes brotherhood, service to each other and the creator in the quest to evolve to a higher spirit.
I bet some of those Kingdoms and Empires you mentioned collapsed because of SPIRITUAL BANKRUPTCY. The 2nd and 3rd generations lost sight of the SPIRITUAL impetuous and degenerated into debauchery.
SPIRITUALITY is the foundation of all that is good, it encourages the individual to embrace good virtues and work for the benefit of the collective.

@@ZamokuhleMohauduma the flaw in your analysis that I see is the definition of progress and culture. How are you progressing as a people if you are killig yourself in the process. You seem to equate comfort with progress. To progress youas an individual must be a able to wake a dead person up. Of you want ton understand a person that had progressed Google Simon Toku. Gaining the ability to kill people and destroy nature is not progress. Culture as well is dependent on the level of charge pr energy the xolecctovedoes not change, it gets collective body has. The collective energy decides the insecurities which advise culture. Culture is how you draw energy from your environment and it only presides at a particular level of collective charge beyond which it is not there. When it changes it either improves of regresses and we have been regressing al this time hence we live fewer years.

If you have the capacity to fly and others can't then you are superior. Superiority is not you creating things to control your environment, that is inferiority. The more self sufficient you are the more superior you are. If you still seek to take from others then you are under developed and not self sufficient. The more developed a person is, the less they take the more they give and the less violent they are. Look at all spiritual Gurus, all of them had no violence yet they were clearly superior
Your body works based on the energy it has, the more energy it has the more it can do. The sun is the highest energy source in this world. Those
cannot stand in the sun are less developed and have less energy. This is a scientific fact, if energy being encounters another energy source with energy beyond its threshold, the one with less energy gets destroyed. Those that cannot stand in the sun for long are inferior. This is how you scientifically show superiority. We didn't build malicious weapons because we are service to others culture, the most advanced culture as opposed to the service to self that came with foreigners. There is a song by Damian Marley
"Looks are Deceiving" from his album stone hill. That resonates with the theme of this notion.
The current state of the world has special gems only if we remove the ideologies and indoctrinations we've stimulated our (minds) beings with. Then the truth will reveal its beauty.

I hope Penuel will read this.
There will always be a people or civilisation that is preferable to another. This has always been like this. In the past people came to the conclusion that a people can only be as good as the God that they serve. Now I believe that’s 100 percent true. We become what we worship. Why because you will imitate your God. That’s why the old Germanic people were so violent: they worshiped gods of war.
No I know ma boy Penuel doesn’t have much space for belief in the divine but bear with me. Gods are sophisticated personifications for the values of a society. And I don’t think anyone will object to the idea of values being real.
Now some gods are superior to others simply because some values lead to better outcomes than others.
You might say that the Europeans were Christian and Africa is the most Christian place on earth today but I would disagree you see the Christianity the Europeans brought to Africa was a very different Christianity that exists in Africa today.
The Jesus we worship in Africa does not say turn the other cheek. Love your neighbour. Bless those who curse you or give to the needy.
If you look at the things that you could call Africans “inferior” for it’s not so much poverty despite what media. It’s the tendency to steal from one another. It’s the inability to be humble enough to learn from cultures that have wronged us, it’s the manner in which our leaders flash wealth to feed their pride. It’s the awful way in which African women suffer rape because our men can’t control their lust. It’s the way in which we celebrate immoral celebrities and encourage violence between ourselves.
No group is inherently smarter or harder working. There are hard working and smart individuals in every race on every continent but ultimately every group or even individual can only be as good as the beliefs they hold. We don’t obey rules, we don’t want seek correction because we only cry about our pain to excuse our own failing.
Africa has an inferior god. And it shows. It’s not the Christian God who holds human life as sacred.
If we had any sense we would stop trying to ask ourselves how to get “economic empowerment” and really start asking ourselves what value is there in over sexualising our women and having our young men die and kill each other for money. We would start realising that the same things that we think aren’t “cool” like honesty, integrity, forgiveness, mercy, humility, these things are the things that uplift people and bring honour to these Asians we are puppets of, these westerners who’s will we are forced to bend to.
If you do good you will receive good.

It's also important to highlight to what extent do we base our Historical timeliness from, for example Greece (the oldest Civilization in Europe), was "Civilised" by Black Afrika. That was in the B.C era. Perhaps from my observation, Westerners have most of the time - not prioritized morality, and based the idea of Civilization at the expense of "others". (Please see George James - Stolen Legacy).
In the (C.E) Common Era, the Moors from Black West Afrika, built the oldest University in Spain (Salamanca), and all they contributed was constructive, relative to the Coloniality we have seen post the 15th Century.

This is right and wrong at the same time. Black people are not inferior, we just subscribed to a different way of seeing the world. Africans didn’t conquer the world due to geographical challenges, abundant local resources, decentralized societies, and priorities focused on trade, cultural development, and regional dominance rather than global conquest. External invasions and disruptions, such as the transatlantic slave trade, weakened African states, making large-scale expansion difficult. However, African civilizations thrived regionally, and global conquest was not a universal measure of success. Today we are just divided, everyone is working together. Money circulates longer in communities with strong cultural ties and economic networks. In Asian and Jewish communities, it stays 20-28 days due to support for community businesses and reinvestment. White communities see about 17 days, benefiting from broader industry representation. Hispanic communities average 7 days, with some funds sent abroad. In Black communities, it lasts only 6 hours, reflecting systemic barriers and limited business ownership. Strengthening local entrepreneurship and community reinvestment can improve circulation times.
