      J Scott Salon my nail tech mixed a tiny bit of powder on a pallet with the clear top coat and used a small brush to apply then used magnet, there was enough for ten nails and the pigment moved heaps more than this!! Apply, magnet, cure then do top coat 😊

      poetic justice This is how it works best for me! Just takes a tiny bit mixed a piece of foil, then apply and magnetize. I get a stronger effect that way.

    wow! I have something like this coming in the mail, but got nervous reading reviews that mentioned mixing in a separate container or something, but this is WAY easy! (coming from someone who has never used gel polish before)

    Adding it to topcoat gives a lovely finish too, no waste, no mess on the fingers

    Sorry quick question...?.?? Let’s say I have NAVY-BLUE background and all I want is for a green or what ever other colour I choose of a magnetic cat eye to go on top, all I would want is for the cat eye bar to go up&down without loosing the blue background can that be accomplished.???

    Can I to use normal polish?

    • @neraelx8791
      @neraelx8791 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      you'd require a water based base coat. regular polish could work but the design would turn out a lot different than you would expect and wouldn't last as much.

      Yes! You can mix it with clear polish or top coat.

      @@Laurart I tried that and it didn't work, it wouldn't magnetize at all, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

      Do you have a strong neodymium magnet? @@societycrumbles

    • @societycrumbles
      @societycrumbles 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Laurart I am using the same magnet you showed in this video and it feels really strong when I put it against something metal. My powder magnetizes as well when I test it in the bottle. but when mixed with top coat, it doesn't react anymore.

      @Laurart  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      try placing your finger on top of the magnet as you paint. It might be from the top coat drying too fast@@societycrumbles

    Do you have a link for this powder please? I've done a search but all I'm coming up with is a few sellers overcharging for 0.02g which doesn't give even a thin coat over the bottom of those tiny jars. I love the effect I wonder why it can't be sourced in larger amounts, it seems similar to aurora powders for some odd reason 🤔😊✌🏻

      Take and put a small amount of no wipe top coat on foil and mix your cat eye pigment into the no wipe top coat. Paint the mix onto your nail then use your magnet works 🙂 so much better ☺️

    This video should be named "best way to ruin your top coat"! Either you mix the pigment with clear gel or at least use a separate brush for applying the top coat.

    • @Laurart
      @Laurart  5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Just wipe the brush with the lint free pad if it gets dirty. Most people use separate top coats for glitters and powder effects 👍

      Must not be applying it correctly or maybe your pigments aren't cat eye.. I know they say if you mix a bit of topcoat and add your cat eye pigments you get a stranger effect especially depending on how much cat eye you mix in
