  • After an unfortunate string of injuries the past two years, Brian Cahal, the creator, producer, and racer behind 'Let's Go Racing' has decided it's time the series comes to a close.
While not the end that Brian or Vital had planned for, there are a lot of positives to take away after three years of pursuing enduro racing at a professional level.
Enjoy the final episode of the series as Brian reflects on what he learned, and a huge thank you to Brian for all the hard work providing us with entertaining and insightful videos over the past three years!

I’m not sure you greatly look forward to what you do next Brian, but I promise there will be something greater to come. I took some years off due to repetitive injuries, concussions mostly and now am back into riding with my young kids and loving it in a way I never thought possible.

I've watched almost all these episodes and want to say thank you and good luck with whatever comes next. Probably is not easy making these choices, but it is what it is sometimes. Happy trails

Look after yourself mate. Racing can be taxing both mentally and physically. Sometimes we need to take a step back until we can enjoy it again.
And cheers for the vids over the years. Your honesty and unbiased product testing was definitely some of the best MTB content on TH-cam.

Take care of yourself man. This sport gives a lot, but it takes a lot too. I've learned a ton from your videos, especially relating cockpit height with chainstay length. I really appreciate how transparent you've been talking about your concussion recovery. I had a bad one this spring, and your advice about diet changes helping you was really helpful for me.

Lgr has been awesome. So bummed to see it end like this but you’re doing the right thing by taking that step back. Sounds like youve burned yourself out and need to rekindle the love back for bikes. I did the same thing riding motocross for years getting injured and trying to race. Found mtb a few years ago now and have never loved anything more. Whether it’s kayaking or mtbs i wish all the best! Thank you for sharing all your valuable knowledge which has helped me tremendously. Take care!

thanks for all the efforts and the honesty, its been a joy and a thrill to watch the process from the outside, wish it had been the same for you! Life is also a process and can be a bruising affair at times but i hope when you reflect and see what you have just done, not necessarily achieved, because that is not really relevant in the great scheme of things, you should feel proud and justified for just sending it! Take care and enjoy the ride

Dude, so sorry to hear this. Your content has always been something I've actually watched rather than skimmed through. I never got the snake oil salesman approach of selling yourself for attention from your videos. You'll land on your feet, guys like you always do and I'll be checking in to see where that is! Learning to enjoy the seasons of life when they aren't something we want is a skill, wishing the best for you.

Great job overall. Nothing to look back on and regret. You did the best you could while you were capable. High level anything is not easy. Even Ping Pong. so dont beat yourself up, doing hard things requires massive effort. You helped a lot of people along the way, and that is the takeaway. Great Job and best of luck in the next chapter.

mountain biking is super dangerous man and when you turn your passion into a "job" of sorts, it certainly removes that passion. I felt it with my coaching business. Now I have quit the coaching for now just to focus on riding for myself. Bringing back the enjoyment man. Have a good rest and hopefully you can begin to enjoy riding for fun again in the future.

Have you dealt with light sensitivity from your concussions? I was in a bad car accident a month ago where I broke lots of ribs and have a concussion. I thought I was OK after crash, but a week later my vision was all messed up from airbag smashing my face and it has been a month with no improvement. I'm wearing sunglasses all the time even indoors now. Worried that it might be perminent. Crazy how you have to go back to work 3 days after such a bad accident. I just want to hide in a dark room all day. Saw eye doctor and he just told me to come back in 3 months.

Dude I'm 47 and some of the reasoning your giving is what I've dealt with not riding a bike.. I think because bikes and racing is actually life threatening behaviour.. no matter what age or experience you have we begin to define our own lives with the decisions we make. When you get hurt they tend to be more definitive moments in our lives like loosing your first love.. or going bankrupt.
When you think about it Kayaking is another life threatening sport one mistake and you might Drown..!!! What im trying to say is that when you get older you begin to minimise the risks and if that means slowing down then take a good look around..like a cinematographer.
