Paolo, greetings from Fernie British Columbia. I have been using this ink for about five months now and love it. As the pen I use is a cartridge converter pen, I simply use a syringe to fill the converter when I get towards the bottom of the bottle. Stay safe my friend.
Thanks for your comment. The syringe is a solution as it is the Pineider Fountain Pens Snokel I reviewed some time ago. Most of the time this kind of bottle doesn't bother me at all because I use cartridge/converter pens most of the time!
I think I understand what you are saying about the ink feeling dry. Diamine Earl Grey makes most of my pens feel scratchy, even when lots of ink is being put down. Also, I got my first J. Herbin ink this week - Rouge Grenat. I have it in a pen with a 0.6 stub nib and it is beautiful.
I say that about being dry because I feel that scratchiness you mentioned in the fine nibs I tend to prefer. But this kind of inks are very useful for the pens I have with broader nibs.
Thank you, Paulo, for the review. I have always liked this ink & in fact, it was one of the first inks I every brought other than Parker Quink which I used before I knew there were any other inks available. I find it can be even slightly greenish in some lights & yes it is not a wet ink but not dry enough to cause an issue when using. It is also very safe to use in all pens and cleans out nicely I find. I like your lighting set up it showed off the inks nicely. Stay safe my friend.
Thanks. It has a nice colour. I enjoy it. And thanks for letting me know about the lighting setup. I changed it a little since last ink review to try to improve these ink review videos.
Hello! I subscribed after watching your Inkvent videos recently. Cultpens is accepting preorders for full size bottles of the Inkvent colors and your swatches were the best display of the inks. I have always wanted to get Lie de The, so this review was very useful! Thank you.
Thank you so much for the kind comment. I try to reproduce the colour of the ink as well as I can in the swatches (because in video it is never that easy). I may need to get at least one of those inkvent colours.
Thank you for the video! I think it would be very useful if you used different nib sizes on the ink reviews. Personally, I love seeing the ink colors and shading and that's why I use broader nibs. I also have this ink and it looks very different when writing with broader nibs. Anyway, I'd like to leave this suggestion. Again, thanks for the review!
Thanks for the suggestion. I decided to go with just one pen, because I thought that in the ink swatch was enough to see the colour variations it allows. But reading your comment it makes some sense... I would like to keep this structure for ink reviews, but I may make an aditional series of videos where I show that. I will thhink about the best way to include different nib sizes with the same ink.
Yes, this J Herbin bottle is a beautiful design flaw!
Yet the ink is amazing!
Not easy to use at all...
Nothing more useful than a blunt syringe!!!
