    Some of the best moments of my life. Chanting in unison with 30,000 of my friends, brothers and sisters until tears poured out of our eyes. A shared human experience unlike any other. Peter Gabriel continually proves, over 4 decades.....the world can be a better place. I Love the man !!!!

    I was there. A memory I will never forget. Gives me goosebumps every time I watch it on TH-cam. An excellent way to end the concert. The pan of the crowd makes me proud that I was there. Peter Gabriel PHENOMENAL song 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

    I was there - what an experience. Still have the ticket and the magazine handed out at the stadium. The concert was incredible, Nelson Mandela was even better. A day I will never forget.

    A bird born in the cage will think flying is a disease. This is the message I feel every time I listen to the song. I was born in a comunist country, another kind of cage.

    So when is he making a song about those who are still struggling today who've been struggling through the whole apartheid and having it just continue because the ruling party just cares about lining its own pockets of themselves and their friends and family and stays there with all their lies they give out to their voters who are mostly poor and the majority of the country

    • @spinalcrackerbox
      @spinalcrackerbox 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I doubt it is/was Peter's job to oversee the country and get involved in everything for the rest of his life, like a politician. There's a new generation now and one of them should take up the cause if they feel driven to do so. Obviously, the Apartheid regime had to go, the whole planet felt strongly about that and us who did so back then were happy & proud to see its demise and Mandela's release from prison. Everything after is a new & different chapter.
