It amazes me how every porter has his own approach and opinion on the ports and chambers at hand . Keep making good content from a fellow porter /engine , car builder/ tuner . I’m have never touched a set of e7 I have touched a bunch of the cast and aluminum gt40p,A,Xs
Well said Terry bit a knowledge and some common sense allways works. I do some porting myself allways learning its good to get other people prospective and opions.thanks for sharing.peace

Combined with the average .015" piston in the hole on a factory piston 5.0 HO gives the .040" total. THATs a decent compression increase AND quench distance from 055 to 040. HOs are 9.0-9.1 nominal. Many are less than 9.0. Go .025 gasket.👍 JMO 😎 Thanks Terry. Good job 👍👍😎😎
BTW I really like the way you do short turns with the emery paper.👍 I was always cautious on shirt turns because when you spend 20 hrs on a head and then pop a hole...... It makes me want to utter 4 letter words 😱
@@hotrodray6802 There's always a thin head gasket involved on everything I do I've probably uttered the same 4 letter word many times 😂😂😂 thanks for watching nice to hear from you Ray 👍
Combustion chamber ceiling is about low lift numbers on the intake side. So don't be affraid to open that up. Giving that peanut shape to the chamber also directs the burned gasses towards the exhaust side.
Im doing these heads a little different due to a stock engine combo and don't want to lose compression any more than necessary this is the only time I worried about compression over other mods
@@terrygrover6440you're welcome. Your videos always seem to go by so fast even though you try not to rush them, which no matter how long you make them they will always seem short because if you're having fun time flies by .

I wonder how much more power one can yield , if you do the max to those combustion chambers and milled the heads for more compression with a .030 over bore ? Also what bit(s) did you use for the combustion chamber ?
The things you're talking about I've already done on the E7s that are on the green gangster the car that goes 9s , and a sanding roll works great on the combustion chamber 60 or 80 grit , thanks for watching and if you want to see the green car run it's on my son's you tube channel adam grover green gangster

You would have to find out if they have the same cc combustion chamber , I've never had e5s to look at I just had a friend ask me also about these heads and I'm happy the oven cleaner worked for you if I can help you any other way just shoot me a message , and also try a ford 5.0 forum on Google and ask about those heads wish I could be more help

Milling the head or using a thinner head gasket is what I always take into consideration to get the compression back up where I need it to be on my e7 heads we milled the heads 20 thousands and used a very thin head gasket but I'm not sure how many thousands thick it was, thank you for watching if you have any other questions feel free to ask

My advice is save your money just do a good valve job, we saw no improvement when we switched to 1.84 valves car ran the same number in thequarter mile , milling the heads is a good idea but not necessary , we've also run the thinnest headgasket we could find for performance gains but it's best to stay with the stock headgasket if you can as far as dependability , if you have anymore questions feel free to ask hope this was helpful
So Terry near the spark plug threads, you say you leveled it out. Does it kind of dip down from the intake seat into the spark plug thread area and then back up to the exhaust side? Or is it flat by the time you reach the exhaust side? Thanks🙏🙏🔧🔧

If you were to Mill those heads down quite a bit that would also remedy that issue right ??

How are you keeping track of volume? Is each port & chamber the same + or - a few?
I would think minus a few, I don't get that carried away and cc the combustion chamber, thanks for watching

Does it benefit any to cut the lip off the intake side of the combustion chamber? Nice looking chamber on the finished one.
I like the whole combustion chamber with no sharp edges or high spots even all the way around the outside ridge of the combustion chamber
That lip at 5 o'clock to the intake should not be cut out. Experts such as Vizard say by leaving it, the engine will carry another 3-500 rpm before shifting.
Sounds good to me👍
Would the 68 302 heads run better than the E7 heads?
Hello Robert it's a toss up either head is fine to make the same power with , porting and doing the right areas to the head is what matters most 👍
@terrygrover6440 I know they got bigger valves them 68 truck heads I got a 84 mustang non ho
